Came for the first time for a long weekend and have booked again for October! Had a hardstanding on the lakeside - what could be better than opening the curtains to a view of the lake? The facilities were excellent and very very clean. Lovely hot showers! Staff and fellow campers very friendly. Went down to the local pub for an evening meal which was very good too! Came with two keen fishermen and was happy watching them and enjoying the surroundings! Would not hesitate to recommend.

We stayed in the main field where the park is and the toilet shower block, washing up, free fridge and freezer which is very handy as the local shop was ok but not great. Very peaceful, woodland walks lovely, managed to hear woodpecker. The wardens Eddie, Lorna and Basil the dog well what can one say, they are friendly, helpful and work very hard to keep site to a very high standard. The ponds are great and we will be going back once we have our fishing gear. once again well done to the wardens

Arrived mid morning, pulled onto the site and got stuck in the wet rally field. A couple of signs would not go amiss with directions park up here and go to the reception. With a caravan in tow it isn't a good idea to go exploring. We were shown to our pitch close to the two lakes and the shop/cafe and the relaxing holiday took off from there. Being an angler you are spoilt for choice, bagging up in the match lake, relatively easy fishing in the small lake or try for the biggies in the large lake, the choice is yours. The toilets are immaculate and they are dog friendly with great walks on and off the site. Never saw any accidents left by dog owners either. I will definitely stay here again, it is well kept, friendly and a great place for exploring the south coast. Horsham is a delight, use the park and ride great value at £1.50 for a car and passengers.

We turned up at this site to a warm welcome. We stayed 3 days. Lovely site, very clean. Toilet and showers were spotless. Lots of people fishing but that is what this site is about. Site shop close by. Some of the others on site were bit noisy as they had caught a big fish at 5:30am. If you were going there just to camp try some where that does not have fishing on site. Over all very good site will go back.

What a wonderful site! It is a very relaxed and informal with an area to suit all kinds of campers. A family area which you pitch up around a play area with a back drop of woods and a mixture of EHU and grass sites. A camping field - perfect for meets and basic campers. A beautiful pond area for avid fishermen who can pitch up on the edge of two lovely, well stocked ponds. Set in a small village on a working farm it is lovely and quiet with woodland walks, pond walks. A pub and shop a short walk away and it even has its own small cafe which serves home cooked food in huge portions but small prices (£4 for scampi & chips £5 quiche salad & chips). We didn't feel the need to leave the site at all. The shower block was immaculate, showers incl in the price and very powerful. The warden kept themselves to themselves and even sold fresh free range eggs from their static unit. Thoroughly recommended and will return again and again.

We stayed in the main field which was very peaceful, with plenty of space between each pitch. Excellent power showers and toilet block, washing up facilities, washing machines. The only thing missing was a power point. The rest of our party arrived the following day and bought an electric lead which we then used as each pitch had electrical hookups. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely hot cooked breakfast and offering other foods also a small shop for your basics. Lakes really picturesque and relaxing. Pub only a five min walk nice atmosphere and good food, take a torch for walk back nearly tripped on some logs on a grass verge, was not drunk either. Would have liked to have stayed longer, tried to book for following weekend but fully booked being a bank holiday. definitely be visiting again real soon. did not want to leave so relaxing.

A lovely site, very spacious with extremely clean wash rooms and good facilities, free use of fridge freezer which came in very handy. Woodland walks back on to some pitches and the bluebells and wild garlic were beautiful. We even spotted a woodpecker on our walks. The fishing lakes were very peaceful and the fishermen we came across seemed happy with their catches. Carp I believe? Only draw back was the Planes and Trains, they wasn't that bad but if you're after total peace and quiet you'll be disappointed. Overall we had a thoroughly good time and would definitely return.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at this camp site. Despite the cold it has been lovely and sunny (warm in the sun too). We were pitched in the main field by the entrance to the woodland walks. Unfortunately the grass area surrounding the small play ground was too wet (quite boggy) so the children (aged 2 & 5) couldn't use it. We had a very nice, spacious, hard standing pitch with EHU which was well drained. At this time of the year only the hard standing pitches were being used as the grass doesn't drain well. In the summer there is a field for tents and a separate field for ball games. I read all of the comments before booking and was expecting to be aware of the planes and trains but I wasn't. I didn't hear the train at all and the sound of the planes were just a gentle hum (quite soothing). We awoke to bird song each morning and I remember hearing an owl hooting one night. All in all it's a very peaceful site. The facilities here are spotless despite all the mud around. A polite note asking users to remove their muddy footwear before entering has helped to maintain the cleanliness and, as noted before, there is underfloor heating which was very welcome in this cold weather, you certainly didn't mind walking around barefooted! We went for a walk through the woods and up to the match lake and back down towards the farm. We then headed round to the other to fishing area consisting of a smaller pond and larger lake where keen anglers can pitch up lakeside. The cafe/reception was open and served an all day breakfast and various other goodies. The wardens are very friendly, helpful people who obviously work hard to keep the site to a very high standard. Congratulations to Eddie & Lorna (& Basil the dog who is very friendly!). Within a few minutes walk is a post office/small shop and a pub and the village green is not much further. We went swimming at The Triangle leisure centre in Burgess Hill, which is about 30 mins away. There are different area's to the pool. A baby/toddler area, a main area with rapids, an area that takes you outside, a couple of slides, bubbles, waterfalls, jacuzzi and a separate pool for regular swimming. My kids loved it & so did we! I really look forward to returning and making this a regular retreat for our family even though we don't fish.

We have stayed here twice. Once on the main site and also in the rally field The main site is well laid out with hard-standing and grass pitches - and EHU - the facilities are 100% . Can't fault them at all There's a small play area for the little peeps Some lovely woodland walks where you can exercise the dogs In the rally field you get what you pay for, toilets and wash basins are in a porta-cabin (4 per gender) . These are shared with the fisherman. They were spotless every time I used them Talking or fisherman, there is several ponds in different areas of the site, one of which you can actually camp by with EHU . This is the one part of the sight we are really looking forward to visiting There is a pub and local shop just outside the site and Tesco 10 minutes drive away There is a good size play area in the village, and sports field on the village green Also within 30 minutes drive to the beach The owners are lovely people who are working hard to make the site a 1st class place to stay . With the help of their friendly wardens Would recommend this site . Whether you fish or not .

Another lovely time at Sumners Pond, thanks to Lorna and Eddie once again! The kids enjoyed themselves in the woods, as did the dog! Fantastic cheesy chips, although we did have to wait a while for them. But seeing as the sun was shining, no-one minded too much. Facilities are excellent, and the under floor heating in the toilet block is fantastic when you take your wellies off to go in there! See you at new year for fishing!
