Stayed here for our first trip with our new tent. Thought it was an attractive site; 3 linked fields, one with a big pond, which has mostly caravans and a small shop/cafe, the other a couple of small ponds, and the third has no pond, but a small play area.

As this also has the main toilet/washing block, this is the best field for those with young kids. We were given a pitch right opposite the main toilets - handy, I suppose, but there is a really bright light on the toilets and this shone into our tent all night, plus you could hear everyone crunching past on the gravel at night.

Our kids enjoyed the play area and spent all their time there. There is a nice walk from the site to the nearest shop and pub.

At night, the site itself was reasonably quiet It's quite a pricey site - probably because of the fishing, but I would be tempted to go back if we could get a pitch away from the toilets.

First time at this site and thought it was lovely. The kids enjoyed fishing and cycling and I thought toilet and showers were very clean and warm. A lot of thought has gone into the layout of the site.

Only comment would say was that the kids playing out could on occasions be extremely noisy but I think we were a bit unlucky to just have some very loud ones because the last day was much quieter. Would definitely return as there are so many places to cycle to from site and the surroundings are full of wildlife.

We decided to come away for a last minute holiday before school started again.

We were allowed to pitch anywhere on the rally field and after having a look around and everyone arriving for the bank holiday weekend it was very clear to see that the pitch size was very generous.

This site is amazingly quiet - probably down to the fact that everywhere you looked there were people fishing the lakes.

The woodland walk we found was nice but not very long and perhaps we didn't find the other walks the website talks about but felt a little disappointed as took the children's bikes envisaging long strolls through woodlands during our stay.

The shop stocked a few bits but the little village shop 5 mins away was fine. The pub in the village was lovely with friendly staff and very good food too.

We took a trip into Horsham on a rainy day and found a lovely leisure centre. We ended up leaving a day early even though the weather was good as we just seemed to run out of things to do here - maybe just not our 'cup of tea'

The toilets were lovely and clean - especially if you found the very quiet ones hidden in the woods in the field around the main lake. Free and hot showers with a seat and changing space

We won't be going back but that's just our preference.

Just spent the weekend here, was a fantastic place, was lucky and got a pitch by the lake. The staff are ten out of ten, very helpful and friendly. The toilets were spotless, and showers good. The walks around the site are lovely, kids would love the woods. All the lakes are great, fishing is superb, don't waste money on fancy baits, I caught loads on the left over bacon and sausages from breakfast. The local pub was friendly and the food was good the night we went there. We've booked for a weekend in September,so if you want a great weekend away go here, well done all at sumners pond.

Very rural but within reach of a local shop and pub and a small shop on site. Very well kept and although primarily for fishing fraternity it was excellent for campers. Not too far from big supermarkets and not too far from London and the M25 but very rural experience.

Not sure why the showers are so hot. Bring a screw in cable connector in you want to plug into the TV socket. Aerial reception very poor.

The site is ok, but not the best we've stayed at. There aren't enough showers for the amount of pitches - be prepared to queue in the morning or later on in the evening.

As mentioned in other reviews the showers are hot and not really acceptable for children and as there are no family rooms you are limited. Having a shop and pub very close by is great as the site shop is very limited. Be prepared to see lots of wasps they're everywhere.

The site is more geared up for the fisherman on the main lakeside pitches and campers on the other field. Unfortunately after having only a slightly disappointed view of the site it was made worse by a dog owner who let their dogs fowl by our van.

Stayed here second bank holiday in May so the site was full with a lot of tents. Very clean pitches and well drained.

The laundry facilities, reception, and location are all superb. There are 2 showers in female block - did have to wait on one occasion. Plenty of hot water - agree with previous comments probably too hot for children. Toilet block is very clean with plenty of toilet rolls and soap.

Play area is in centre of main site which was excellent for young children. We were able to sit outside our tent and watch our children play safely.

Plenty of footpaths and bridleways around the site which we intend to use on our next visit.

We had a meal in the local pub which is child friendly and very nice. We also used the local shop which is accessible via a lovely footpath through the woods. We didn't eat in the site restaurant but very nice location and menu looked good.

Overall we enjoyed ourselves and will visit again.

The site is very clean, well run, extremely welcoming staff and campers. Immaculate toilets and showers in-fact the best we have seen in 10 years of camping.

We would have no hesitation recommending to people who fish and / or enjoy a peaceful relaxing quiet time in beautiful countryside. The only noise is the wildlife. You don’t need an alarm call the Geese and ducks will have you up really early to enjoy the day. It was great to see the goslings and ducklings with their mums and how maternal they are, they are really not scared of humans and walk round all day between tents, even your chairs when you are sat in them.

The local shop is sensibly priced, sells gas. The site shop again is not a rip off as you would normally get on sites, again sensible prices. Tackle is the same price as tackle shops so what more could you need.

The site is a credit to the owner, and the bailiff is really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Then pitches are really big and spacious and landscaped really well.

We will be going back soon without a doubt.

I booked Sumners Ponds as a last minute booking being close to where I needed to be.

On arrival you are required to stop and walk to the reception to check in. Although I have no problem in walking, I was a bit concerned by the fact that my van would now be out of sight for an unknown length of time.

Walking to the reception was down an uneven dirt road which when dry is not a problem but I arrived after a recent shower and so had muddy shoes by the time I got back and was shown to my pitch.

The touring field is lovely. Great shower block and although I was without my kids, there is a lovely playground within sight of nearly all the pitches.

Direct access to the nearby woods and footpaths can be accessed with just a few yards of nearly all pitches.

If you have a hook up with the EHU bollards, A TV signal is available BUT, a female screw coupling type is required as found on most Cable and Sky systems. A cable is available at reception but a daily charge is made for it.

A cafe is on site open at nearly all the times you may want it although I did not use it myself.

I cannot confirm that hot water is available 24 hours a day in the shower as on the morning of my Mother's service at the crem, I wanted to make an early start but only found cold water at 0730hrs.

If country sounds appeal to you, then like me you will love this sight as a resident woodpecker in the woods behind my van would start his merry ways at 0715hrs daily while the owls would hoot and me and my dog on our last walk at night.

Overall, I will be going back but next time the wife will be with me so no worries about leaving my van with no one watching it.

Wow what a lovely place we had a premier pitch right by the lake. Hubby was in his element, he caught some great carp all in lovely condition. Facilities were good, plenty of hot water and washing up area right outside. The pub serves food, didn't try this time but it looked very nice, will try next time we go. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Cant wait to return, already booked. If you want a premier pitch you have to book well in advance but well worth it
