We have been camping with them for the last 5 years, we are a really big family that usually books about 7 spaces, we love the beautiful views, the facilities are excellent; the only issue that we have and we are not going to be able to go back again is that they don't let groups book together and in their policy states if they find out that individuals have booked but they meet in the place as a group they'll be ask to leave.
I understand if it was a group of teenagers or a group of people looking to have a party but we are one big family (mums, dads, uncles, aunties grandparents and kids you get the idea) that looks forward to meet once a year and have a relaxing couple of days.
Not once in any of our stays we had an issue as our kids are well behaved and we are in bed the latest by 11 pm (adults).
I think Sumners ponds should have a better approach to families specially people that been camping with them for such a long time.
I'll really recommend this place is beautiful really well looked after and the toilets are completely amazing is such a shame that they are not flexible.

We went to Sumners Pond with another family. Our pitches were together in Ribbon Park. We were jammed up close to caravans and motorhomes which gave us no feeling of privacy. In fact, the caravan infront of us had brought their karaoke machine along and serenaded us all weekend (badly). This is a huge site, much much bigger than we had anticipated. I think if we had been pitched in Bluebell Park, then we might have had a more positive experience. However, we couldn't wait to escape to be honest.
Positives : lovely woodland adjacent to the site, great pub within walking distance, fantastic new loo block beyond Farm Pond
Negatives : very expensive, too tightly packed in, water tasted terribly of chlorine all weekend (we spent a fortune on bottled water), the lakes are open water in the middle of the campsite, the tractor and trailer rides hurtled round the site - I feel there will be an accident soon.
All in all, it felt like the Butlins of camping, which if that's what you are looking for, then great, but we wont be back.

The site was excellent. The staff very helpful and friendly. Was cold but still caught some fish. Restaurant and bar small and friendly. Food quality was very good especially the home reared steak. Have booked another lakeside pitch in July, looking forward to an enjoyable visit. Toilet shower block was the best I have ever come across on a camp site. Would recommend this site to everyone.

Stayed for a long weekend in Jan, rates were good as there was an extra 20% offer on for January.
Nice layout with plenty of trees & grass between units. Had an on site cafe which was nice to have, & a 5 min stroll to the village store & pub.
Toilet block was the best I've seen on any site I have stayed at, warm underfloor heating in the entire block, very nice when having a shower & it's snowing outside !. All the water taps are sensor so just wave your hand & they are on. Looking forward to visiting in the summer.

This is a stunning camp site that we have now visited many times in our caravan. The staff are brilliant, the site itself is stunning and facilities extremely good. We would recommend this place to anyone whether they enjoy fishing or not.
The wild life, ducks, rabbits etc are a joy to watch during the daylight hours,
The village is only minutes away with a well equipped village shop and an extremely good public house. Horsham is only a short drive away where anything you need is obtainable.
If you are a dog owner then again this site is great as is dog friendly (keep dog on lead around the site) and there are plenty of lovely walks to take.
Children would find this place educational as they can get up close with the farm animals and also the walks through the woods can show them many things that would not normally be aware of.
It is just a perfect place to visit

This place is a little more expensive than we usually go for, but having seen the facilities I can understand why! The toilet and shower block is state of the art, the smartest and cleanest I have ever come across while camping. There are also plenty of washing up points with hot water. We visited here while on honeymoon and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. A chap even delivered us a replacement gas bottle on his lawnmower! The lakes are absolutely gorgeous, and although we didn't visit the cafe/bar, it looked really attractive and well maintained.

Stayed here last weekend for an overnight get together with friends. This is our second visit.
Despite the awful weather the site was quite busy, unfortunately our allocated pitches were quite waterlogged but staff on site found us a drier patch in the Bluebell Park, near the children's play area. All the staff were friendly and helpful and even waived the 12:00 departure time in case we needed more time for the tents to dry out.
Had a great lunch in the cafe on site whilst waiting for the rain to stop and also revisited in the evening for a drink when the rain set in again. Didn't get to try them but the cakes looked great.
Shower block and other facilities all well maintained and clean (considering the wet conditions).
We also walked to the George & Dragon at Dragons Green and had a very nice Sunday lunch. As the site is very convenient for all of us to get to we will definitely be back.

Sumners Pond great site very central we went to Brighton (45mins) to Chatham Dockyard (1hr15) to Horsham and Shoreham airport (45Mins) also close to London.
The site it self is clean with a lovely bar by the pond. Pub and a shop 10mins walk, the shop on site does not sell milk so before you get there pop in the shop open til 8pm.
We were touring but if you like fishing you will love this site.
Overall lovely site would go back weather was awful but site seemed to cope with the adverse conditions quite well staff were great

First visit and stayed in a small pod by the pond and reception area, for two nights. The site and pods were recommended by a friend so we thought as we liked the idea of 'glamping' we would try it out. There was plenty of room for my partner and myself and we were able to park the car right next to the pod.
On arrival we were signed in and shown our pod and given details of where the amenities were situated. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
There are two shower blocks, the old one is very functional but the new one is of a very high standard. We don't fish but we did a couple of short walks and just enjoyed the countryside around the site.
The Pod comes with two electric sockets, a heater and a lamp. The floor is carpeted and you need to take everything you would for a camping trip. Each pod has its own table and benches outside for your use.
It was lovely to sit on the covered decking area outside the pod and watch the water birds and their young on the pond. Fishing is very popular here and there are three different areas for tents and caravans, one with a children's play area.
There is a pub and a village shop a short walking distance away, just over five minutes. The Cafe on the Lake is open until 6pm apart from a Friday and Saturday night where they offer evening meals.
We enjoyed breakfast here, on eating in and another as a takeaway. We liked it so mch that we have already booked our next trip and have extended it by a day. Highly recommended.

Sumners ponds is great site for tents, caravans, motorhomes or 'glamping' in pods or one of their two wooden lodges.
We have stayed there twice in the last year, once in a family pod (Sept 2011) which was great, heating, carpet, electric light and a lovely decked patio outside and secondly in our motorhome (June 2012). We were situted in the main park with our motorhome, very close to fresh water taps and toilets/showers which are very modern. This part of the site also has a large children's play area in the centre so you can relax and keep an eye on the kids at the same time.
No more than one minute walk from our pitch and we were in the woodland walk which my jack russell loved as he could come off the lead and run around chasing squirrels etc. Just beyond this (past the top fishing lake) there are fields and more woodland to walk in which he loved.
A great site with a shop, bar and restaurant on site, you can sit outside and overlook the lake if its nice, althoguh there are gazebos and outdoor heating if its not too great.
If you want to venture out, there's a great pub, The Queens Head just 5-10 mins walk depending if you take the road or go through the fields which serves fantastic food and has a garden area both in the back and front which is great if you have a dog with you.
We often go there just for a dog walk as its only 5 miles from our house and would definitely recommend this site for both couples, families with children, dog lovers and of course fishing fanatics.
