We stayed on the main site for a week in the school holidays. The toilets were the cleanest I have ever been to. The warden and his wife seemed to on the go the whole time. There is a small snack bar on site and a village shop a few minutes walk away. The pitches were large and flat. Both the O2 and tv signal were poor. The fishing was very good but there isn't much around for children except the play area. If we went again we would go on one of the lakeside pitches

August 2005 I was here as part of the UKCampsite.co.uk Bank Holiday Members Meet, so I cannot comment fully on a couple of points. On arrival we went straight onto the rally field, therefore did not get to meet the reception or other staff members, so cannot comment on them.
The rally field is large and well maintained with some excellent drainage, just before we arrived the heavens really opened and if was still suitable to drive and pitch on without churning up too much mud. I cannot comment on the main site, but looking at it , it looked just as dry and well maintained.
The facility block was very nice and looked very modern with two showers in the mens, and two toilets, I assume the same for teh womens, but did not venture in there! There was a laundry room on site as well.
The pitches on the main site, looked very well maintained with the majority having electric hookup pitches and plenty of grass around them for the children to play on.
There is a fishing lake here , which I heard, was quite good for fish, although I am not a fisherman and did not give it a go. I also understand that there are some pitches next to the lake, so you can pitch up and walk a few feet onto your peg and fish away!
There is a small farm shop on site selling the basics and there is a Londis type shop about 100 yards down the lane for all your other groceries, papers, booze and ciggies etc. If you require larger shopping , there is a huge Tesco about a 5 - 10 minute drive away in Broadbridge Heath which is a 24 hour opening store.
There is a delightful pub 100 metres from the site offering some delicious home cooked food, families welcome in there and well worth a visit if you like local ales, or even a pint of Stella!
The area is nice and flat and being in the country is well suitable for bike riding, I do not like hills and this area doesn't have many!
There is good reception for Orange mobiles, for both calls and GPRS, other networks I cannot comment on.
Overall a great site and one that I would go back to when in the area.

July 2005 I agree with the comments below about the attractiveness of the site. We didn't have aircraft or train noise, but some very noisy people around: dogs, babies and radios at 0730am each morning (2 nights). Not the site's fault but a shame as it would be peaceful otherwise. We were disappointed that we had to leave at 12 noon, there appeared to be some empty pitches. We didn't find the staff that helpful as some have commented also. Be very careful with the directions, we ended up on very narrow roads. Directions say follow A264 towards Bognor and Billingshurst, but you don't get these signs until after you have followed the A264 Guildford.

August 2004 What a lovely site with great fishing and room to move. Lots of wild life and a true working farm (cows got into camp field 1 night!!) Lovely pub nearby and shopping in Horsham not too far. On the down side, trains and aircraft noise invasive. Also we were given a hard standings when we asked for tent pitches so we had to set up on the verge. Not enough loos and showers or washing up facilities, but what there was was spotless. Didn't find the staff that helpful, as we were pitched on grass verge we were told we could have refund on 1 pitch but it was never given to us. No proper shop on site so trip to Billingshurst was essential. However, all said and done, we will probably return as the fishing was so good

August 2004 Excellent, what more can I say, friendly staff, brilliant fishing, booked for one week then stayed for two. We would thoroughly recommend it. Washing facilities were top of the range which was really useful when you have three boys fishing daily. Tracey Mac

August 2004 This is hard review to write as the site was so lovely, but we had the weekend ruined by noisy neighbours (it was Bank Holiday)
There are two camping area's - one for anglers round the lake (unserviced) and one for others (serviced). The pitches were very spacious, the loo's and showers lovely and clean. The washing up area and laundry were also first class.
There is a childrens play area in the centre with swings and a slide. One slight moan here, they did allow ball games which potentially could have caused a problem (they were even playing cricket at one point - hard balls and tents - not a good mix) Although having said that we had no problems.
The owners are really helpful and promised to have a word with our neighbours as soon as we made a complaint.
The ponds were very pretty to look at and probably good for fishing. The whole site is immaculate.
A little expensive (£40.50 for 3 nights) but would be well worth it at a quieter time. We will be going back for sure - just not at Bank Holidays!

August 2004 Beautiful location. Large pitches not crowded at all. Facilities immaculately kept, lots of hot water for power showers (what luxury) and indoor washing up. There is also a campers fridge freezer in the washing up area.
A little play area in the middle of the camping field keeps small children entertained. Lovely local pub and plenty of walks around site.
Would definitely visit again.

August 2004 Absolutley great, didn't want to tell too many people because it would be awful if the site got spoilt by becoming overcrowded and too comercial. Having said that it's unfair not to pass on good advertising. All of what has been said is true. Our family (two adults, two children, ages 2 and 4) went for a weekend in July and I took the children again in August with 4 mums from Nursery and their children. On both occasions we had a superb time and hope to get back before the end of this years camoping season.

August 2004 Have just spent 5 days at this site and only picked it because of the good reviews already. We were not disappointed, good size pitches, nicely lit at night, best toilet and shower facilities that we have ever come across and a nice peaceful site...until the weekend when the masses arrived and the site filled up. You can imagine how pleased we were when a nice considerate chap decided to start up his two quad bikes at 8.00 on Sunday morning and then continue rev them up for around 15 minutes without actually going anywhere. I'm not sure I would agree with a previous comment 'it feels so safe here' The is no security to speak of and anyone can just drive straight on to the camping field from the road and they frequently did. Some people were coming in at dusk and disappearing early morning without even paying. This made us feel a little uneasy about leaving the tent and equipment. I had to return home one night and left at 2.00am to return to the site at 5.00am without any access problems. On the other hand, one day when we did leave the site and rain threatened, one of the site operatives went round and put our chairs and things into our tent so that they did not get wet, which was a nice touch. Also, the people doing night fishing in the next field were no problem whatsoever. I should point out that throughout our stay, the owners were away themselves. Would we go back there? Yes we would but it would be nice to see something done about restricting access to the camping field at night and please ban the quad bikes!!!

July 2004 We had only booked into this site for one night as a stop over. we found the new camping field very well marked with large pitches. The new toilet block was purpose built and very clean. The play equipment in the field was a godsend trying to pitch up with a two year old. We would definately recommend this site and return ourselves.
