May 2003 Great Site. We had field to ourselves after Bank holidayers went home. Good to have freedom of choosing where to pitch tents and created a little niche for ourselves. Lots of hot water for washing up, toilets clean - showers clean and free hot water. No lights on main camping field but added to that authentic camping feeling needed a torch. Kids had all the centre of the field to play cricket etc and even when loads of tents would still have had space to play. Only snag with this site was the traffic noise - no peace at any time of the day and traffic started about 4am - could just about forget motorway as was continuous and about 4 miles away but lorries on main road were very noisy. That said had a great stay and no one around to collect money at end of visit - so posted a cheque - they trusted me very refreshing to find.

Feb 2004 Site is on the edge of the village bordered by the main road. Therefore a fair amount of traffic noise, especially on the hardstand pitches. Marked pitches, dog walk field, no play area seen. Toilets and showers very clean, but the 2 unisex shower rooms were unheated, very cold in Feb. Footpath past church leads to village centre. Local friendly pub, no evening meals. Taxis in the area can be very expensive, check first.

We joined our caravanning friends at Mollington Caravan Park, just north of Banbury in Oxfordshire. Price for the night was just six pounds including hookup. Spotless toilets with some of the biggest shower rooms I have ever seen, numbering three which meant on this particularly busy weekend queuing was necessary. They allow dogs and there was a little dog exercise area. No play equipment for the kiddies though. All in all, a very nice little site, basic but spotless and fine to use when visiting the area.
