We have just had a pleasant couple of days at Anita's over the bank holiday. The owners are very pleasant and were very helpful. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't explore our surroundings by foot but Banbury was a short drive away and the wharf pub at Fenny Compton was. A lovely place to enjoy a meal alongside the canal.
The facilities were ok. Clean and tidy but there was always a queue for toilets and showers.
The campsite has recently had new wooden camping pods built which looked great and were fully booked during our stay.
Overall we had a relaxing stay and would probably return.

We stayed at this site in one the larger PODS. We are usually hardened campers but with a six month old trying her first time at camping we thought this was a good option.
The site is spotless, the toilets very clean and well stocked and the showers are hot.
We had a larger Pod which was big enough for two adults, 2 kids, a baby and a dog! Lovely inside with lighting, a heater, sockets and carpet and it was spotless. You also get an area to bbq with a bench to sit at.
The owners are very helpful and as mentioned give a very handy list of pubs.
The weather was quite cold and windy so the POD was great for this.
It seemed quite a quiet site but this could have been down to the weather
The PODS are positioned quite close in a circle so if you wanted to play ball games you would need to go to one of the other fields.
Would return with adults or camp in the camping field but possibly a little quiet for my young lively boys.

Lovely, well maintained site, good facilities, clean toilets & showers, grass well kept & liked the privacy of the hedges planted on the site.
Enjoyed the surrounding villages, although we live fairly locally was good to explore areas we had never visited before, liked Cropredy, well stocked store & good pub!
Site manager supplied us with useful review on the local pubs in the area, visited a couple.
Will book again.

Great site just outside Banbury, very helpful site owners. Stayed on top field EHU available TV reception fine,
Toilet block at other end of site near to entrance, clean tide but could do with being slightly larger.
Local pub in village just 5 minute walk from site no food/TV.
Tesco Extra on outskirts of Banbury approx 4 miles away very handy for all essentials.
Nothing for children unless they are happy playing in the very large field and entertaining themselves, kids on site while we were there seemed happy enough

My wife and I, and our 2 year old springer spaniel Millie have just spent a quality weekend here. The lady who owns the site could not be more friendly and helpful, who on your arrival gives you a complete colour photo booklet of all the local pubs in the area, with a brief description of each. The nearest one is about 5 minutes walk away, no food but good beer.
A very clean and tidy site, grass pitches excellent with nice short grass, and very flat. Fenced off dog toilet area also, which is very important for that early morning call of nature.
Site facilities excellent, again kept spotless, free showers, one in each of the ladies and gents, plus two unisex showers. Separate area, with plenty of hot water for washing up. Only living 30 minutes away, will definitely be using this little gem more in the future.

My 4 year-old son and I just got back from a few days away in one of the 4-person pods. It was fantastic! The pods are really well-built, double-skinned and insulated with sheep's wool (as the owner explained to me). This construction, combined with a heater, made camping in rainy February absolutely delightful.
The facilities were spotless and the owners more than friendly. Although we didn't go into it, there is a pub within a 5 minute walk through the farmer's garden and village church.
The village is small, but my son and I managed to have a more than 2 hr walk through it and it's footpaths and, of course, a stop in the playground!
The owner also told me that fires were indeed allowed if they were elevated (as I had explained to him I only normally camp at places that allow fires and this did not appear to be one. When I said I had a fire-basket he said this would have been absolutely fine, another bonus!).
I highly recommend this site and hope to visit again with friends.

We have just come back from a long weekend at this site.
We stayed in one of the three pods that are available and can't recommend it enough. The pods have two plug sockets, a heater and a lamp, so you can take a travel kettle toaster etc.
Even though the weather was pretty awful the heater in the pod meant you were warm.
There were four of us in the pod, two adults and two children, it was a squeeze to get two double airbeds in so if you want a bit more space to move I would suggest renting the larger one.
The toilet facilities, were clean and well stocked, but a bit chilly so having a shower was not for the faint hearted, but it was February!
There was a little road noise as other reviewers have stated, but it's certainly not a problem.
We had our car so didn't venture out to the local towns on foot and because of the time of year we didn't visit any of the local pubs, but we were given a very comprehensive list of all the local pubs and restaurants which was very useful.
There is a Tesco Extra just down the road so if you did forget any essentials you can pick them up there.
Great place, very friendly, helpful owner and I am already planning to return with a friend. :)

Just spent this weekend at Anita's on a rally. A lovely site. All facilities spotlessly clean. Spacious pitches.
Now have attractive looking Pods available to hire. Will be returning soon. Close to the town of Banbury, with plenty of facilities.
Very central to many places. A lovely site, well maintained to a very high standard, in a good location.

Just spent five nights at this site, it is our first visit after finding on ukcampsite and have to agree with all the other positive reviews, we were concerned about the road noise, it was there but did not cause us any problems at all.
The local pub The Green Man is a ten minute gentle walk but there is no food available there.
We used a Chinese takeaway on the outskirts of Banbury (details on campsite info board) good food and clean premises.
We will return at some point in the future.

I love this campsite, have been several times and will go again.
Great sized pitches, pitches have hedges at regular intervals plenty of privacy,we went as a family group 8 people in 4 tents with ages ranging from 3 to 69 and we all had a great time and can't wait to go again.
Very helpful friendly owners camping information pack was supplied, though lots of leaflets for other attractions on the wall inside the toilet block.
Dogs allowed though must be cleaned up after (think this goes without saying for responsible owners).Site has a fenced in dog walking area which is really handy.
Site has a lovely spotless toilet/ shower block plenty of hot water, all cleaned regularly and of a very good standard.
Several large supermarkets in nearby Banbury and lots of pubs within a couple of miles. The Castle Inn at Edgehill being a big favourite great friendly owners and fantastic food at good prices.
This site is very well maintained.
