As a fairly new camper we choose Anita's based on the reviews and they weren't wrong. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived and the lady came round and was so helpful and friendly - even giving our toddler an ice cream which made a friend for life!
The site itself is well maintained and the pitches were generous. We had been given a pitch right by the gate which was a little annoying for us as there were some cars passing by our tent fairly frequently - having a toddler made this more hazardous, it wouldn't have been an issue if we didn't have a young child.
The toilets and showers were really clean and the lady was often cleaning them, the only slight criticism was on her days off the toilets really did smell quite badly which was unpleasant but as soon as she was back on duty they were fresh smelling again!
There were only 2 sinks for washing up but we didn't have to queue and there was fresh water very close to our pitch. The site also had a little shed which was full of information leaflets about the surrounding areas - a great little benefit!
The campsite is just off a main road which did lead to a lot of road noise but that was ok for us. The shop was well maintained and again such friendly staff. My little boy loved the horses and chickens and the stray cat that adopted us.
There wasn't to do for my little boy but again the lady recommended a walk to the village where there is a great park for him to play.
The pitch we had was on a slight slope but other than that we enjoyed our 4 nights at this traditional site and would happily go back!

What a find. A lovely site with super clean facilities, bathrooms, wash rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. On arrival, we were offered a choice of locations to pitch our tent (a big plus for me) and we chose one next to a big open field where the kids could play. The on-site shop stocks all the essentials and more for those things that we seem to always forget but what really made our weekend was the fact you could order fresh bread and/or patisserie items for breakfast the next morning. These were delicious and still warm when we picked them up. We all enjoyed the stay immensely with the warden even lending us a tennis and badminton set for the weekend to play in the sun with. Thank you for a fantastic weekend, we'll be back for more very soon!

Fantastic site! Clean, quiet and well maintained. Toilet and shower facilities with plentiful hot water and so very clean. Lovely washing up room and great little shop where you can obtain freshly baked bread etc for breakfast in the morning. Owners and staff are so welcoming and helpful for any of you needs. Easy to get into Banbury and Stratford. We went to eat out and found the Wharf which is only a couple of miles down the road and the food and ambience was great! All in all a great couple of days and cant wait to return very soon!

Well run site, good toilet block, clean and well maintained by a very nice helpful lady who seemed to be a jack of all trades, She also collected rubbish, emptied bins and cut the grass !She also asked if she could help to take down our awning when we left !
One of the showers only had one hook behind the door to hang clothes towel etc, I mentioned this to her and next day she had put in one more!We visited Oxford, Stratford, and Bleneim Palace, Visited Oxford by train from Banbury, very easily and not at all expensive also cut down on driving. We ate in 3 different pubs and was not very excited by any of them, one very expensive for very small portion, one huge portion, cheap but badly cooked, also could smell the toilet in this one. The last one was medium priced, food looked good but was completely tasteless. We have friends in the area and will definitely come again.

What a fabulous site, immaculate toilet/shower block and grounds with coded entry to both. We had a warm welcome and were shown to our pitch, which was already marked with our names. The shop was well stocked and you could order daily papers and freshly baked bread and breakfast items for the next day. Short drive to Banbury (also a bus stop outside the site). Would highly recommend the Inn at Farnborough (need to book for evening meal) which is about a 45 minute walk from the site on public footpath. We had rain and wind but it didn't dampen our experience. Will definitely return.

Spent the weekend at this site. Good directions, easy to find. Good access. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent toilet and shower facilities, very clean. Secure site, coded entry gate, coded shower and toilet building. Site in general very tidy. Adequate shop available in reception. Good sized pitch with electric hook up and close to tap for water. Near to numerous pubs some can walk to others car required. Plan to return later this year

Just returned from first camp of the year at Anita's. Despite gales and lot of rain, we managed to have a good time. Surprised by the number of other campers on site this time of year. A very nice welcome in reception, which is also a little shop selling basics for quick meals etc (and kids toys), newspapers available to order, as are bread and cakes, a very good selection. Facilities are very good with very clean and well managed toilets and showers all contained in a very nice brick building with raised flower beds around. A really nice layout in a compact area. Camping/parking sites ample in size with hookups well located. Also on site, Welsh ponies, rare chickens ans owners lovely gardens. The site is just a 10 min ride by bus into Banbury, well worth a visit. Situation, quality of camp, well worth a visit. We going again. When weathers bit better

I received a very friendly reception inside a well stocked shop and given an order form for freshly baked goods whenever we wanted. The campsite is lovely and spacious, we were directed to tent area 2 and could pitch wherever we liked which was better than being allocated a spot. There were afew people there already but it wasn't anywhere near full. There are 2 toilets in this area, as it wasn't full we never had to wait long to get in and they were spotlessly clean as was the wash-up area (with a handy small freezer for packs). The field is flat and perfect for tents, next to the ponies field.
The shower block was a couple of minutes walk and again was spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water on demand with no silly timers on the showers.
The only teeny gripe is the hair dryer in the shower block was one of those old fashioned ones with a hose. I certainly don't mind paying 20p for the privilege of a hair dryer but it was pretty feeble and took twice as long as a normal hair dryer. With no electric sockets to plug your own things into it was just adequate.
We made a mistake, having read but forgotten the previous review, and went for food at the Brasenose pub in Cropredy. With hindsight we would have gone elsewhere, it was an old pub full of potential but sadly lacking.
The campsite is very relaxed with a good atmosphere and in the middle of some beautiful countryside and stunning old villages. We spent the day cycling and came back along the canal towpath to Cropredy, a fabulous weekend.

What a lovely site.
We are one of two families with grown up children, both with twin axle caravans. On arrival the owners were friendly and helpful. Very informative and offered us a tick list for any fresh bread, croissants and pastries, cooked daily to order. We were then shown to our pitches by the site warden, who was always on hand and very helpful. The pitches had hardstanding for the caravam and grass for the awnings. Water was a stones throw away and the toilet/shower block a minute or two's walk. Showers & toilets always clean and well stocked, as was the small shop/reception area. I can only imagine that the previous review was done after a wet spell as there was never an issue with space to dry yourselves. Water was always hot and 5 showers available - two of which were communal, which was nice if parents wanted to share responsibility of bathing their children. The site did not have a play park for young children, although there was a huge field that any child would love charging around on! The site was immaculate and the owners were happy for you to visit their beautiful ponies and chickens, via their own garden, anytime you wanted. Ideal site for visiting all the attractions, mainly within a half an hour drive. Cotswold Wildlife Park a must. Blenheim Palace - a wonderful day out. Cotswold Falconary Centre very good. Warwick Castle, okay, but a rip off as you have to pay extra for lots of things once your inside, including £6 to park! Area very pretty, a big tescos less than 10 min drive from site. Directions to site very clear to understand - a real must for any family or couple looking to visit this area.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay. The welcome and first impression of the site could not have been better.
The site was busy on our arrival, a couple of tourers left later in the afternoon who were on the pitches behind us, we presumed we were with the seasonal pitches being used over the weekend, we realised in the morning that they were living there and leaving for work from 6am… I counted 9 touring vans with people living in them, one even had a full size front loading washing machine.
Although the site was pleasant and the owners extremely helpful, it felt very strange being on holiday whilst those around you are not.
The toilet block; the showers were very big and spacious, but if you took too much with you it would get soaked, the floor puddled all the way to the door, so nowhere to really dry off, feet anyway. Also during the 3 nights there was no sign of them being cleaned, certainly the floor had not been swept as there was mud there for the duration.
The road, we did expect there to be some noise, but not as bad as it was, it died down between 2 – 4am, we were glad we didn’t want to sit outside as we would have struggled to hear each other.
