Stayed for a weekend at this lovely site. The owners could not be more nicer or helpful, in fact lent me an extension lead for my hook up, and I didn't even ask. The site itself is excellent. The pitch for tents is like a snooker table. The facilities are plentiful and were spotless the whole time we were there. There is a fridge in the toilet block for all to use, as mentioned on other reviews the showers were outstanding (50p). Although the site is on a working farm it does not hamper the peace and tranquillity of the pitch. Great views, and ideally situated to explore the dales. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely visited again. Thanks again to the owners for making us, and our dog feel welcome.

This is a gem of a site. Perfect to stay for visiting the Dales but also to get to Windermere in 40mins.
Access to the site no problem.
Great facilities, tv signal very good.
Definitely returning!

What a great camp site this is.
Was a bit worried due to reviews about not having many toilets or showers as we were a family of 5 and there were a few other tents and caravans pitched up, but only once had to wait for a shower which was not long, which I can say are very clean compared to some camp sites, also with plug socket for your hairdryer and straighteners if needed. There was only one wash up sink, which around evening time got busy, but we just waited at tent till this was free.
People mentioned about privacy of tents, but this can be done with wind break or pitching tent at a different angle.
Kids played in the middle of camp site with other kids, so as long as you take a ball kids love it. Owners are very friendly came over on the last day when we had packed up and asked if everything had been ok.
Its a great camp site with great views and we will be back to.

Stayed here on a second leg of a roadtrip based on the reviews and wasn't disappointed.
On arrival our name was pinned to the hook up on the pitch so we knew where to go, the extremely pleasant owner asked if we were happy or if we wanted to move pitch. All of the pitches from what I could see were flat and the site was clean as whistle.
The shower and toilet block (converted shipping container) was immaculate and well cleaned, 50p for the shower which was well worth it. There's not much to do apart from relax and enjoy the scenery. The local pub in Austwick is about a 20min walk, but we went to the New Inn in Clapham which was nice but expensive.
I would definitely recommend this one, its a shame we live too far away from it to return regular.

Stayed here with friends last weekend. Lovely peaceful site with gorgeous views. Love the way the tents are just pitched around the outside therefore leaving plenty of room for the children to play safely. The facilities may not be plentiful but we didn't have any problems accessing the toilet/shower when we needed to and they were of a very good standard, kept clean and stocked up, with plenty of hot water.
My only (minor) quibble would be just to put some sides up on the washing up area to offer some shelter when it's windy & raining.
Both Neil & Gaynor very helpful & friendly right through from booking to leaving, was great to not have to rush to pack up as it was raining.
Would recommend this site, peaceful, friendly and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be making a return visit as plenty to do in the area.

Lovely little site set on a farm, easy access to a lot of attractions in the area (we were going to going to Ingleton falls but beware the walk through is rugged with 1000 steps to deal with so due to health issues we didn't get there) We went to malham cove then onto gardale scar which both were very good little strolls. We were only there for 3 nights but there is lots more to do in the area.
There is 2 female and 2 male toilets the same with showers so I would imagine when site is full there may be queues, showers are 50p for 10 mins which was ample
We were allowed to stay on site and pack up leisurely
Local pub closed on Mondays
Neil has printed walks from local pub car park which are in the shower block
Neil and Gaynor are very welcoming

Fantastic setting. Very flat and good space between pitches. Faculties extremely clean and well kept.
Owners were extremely polite and helpful, even lending us a hammer as we'd forgotten ours! Great space for kids to play safely where they can be seen.
Good value for money. Would definitely recommend and will be back over the summer!

Being relatively new to camping I spent a long time trying to decide which campsite in the Dales to go to with my kids and my daughter's friends. I chose this campsite for location (relatively close to Clapham train station; lots of good walks close by), and based on reviews of clean toilets, showers etc. My daughter (12) was going for her birthday and wanted a quiet and basic site. So we were both really pleased when we turned up to a gorgeous campsite, with amazing views, close to Austwick. It had everything we needed and was exactly what we had hoped for. My son loved playing football in the large space in the middle (tents only around edge of field). Despite the torrential rain, and being so cold for end of May, we had a great time. The owner was really helpful when we arrived, and after the overnight rainstorm brought around rubber outside mats for all the tents which was fantastic. I am already planning our next trip here - so was thinking I should not write a review as I want to make sure there is space available when we return!

A nice site, roomy pitches, spotless facilities and great views.
This is a great site for children if they want to explore the countryside and be with nature. Its not a site if you're looking for entertainment.
Great area, Malham Cove and Ingleton Falls nearby.
Overall a top site, nice and quiet.

Spent five days here directly after Easter. The site is split into two fields. The first is as you see on the photos, which has five hardstandings and about half a dozen grass pitches - all with electric. An adjacent field is for tents only and again has electric pitches. The two fields share some new toilet and shower facilities. The showers take 50p for ten minutes and give lots of piping hot water at as good a pressure as any site we've been to. All in all the showers and toilets were always clean.
Settle has a Booths supermarket and an array of gift shops as well as a garage for fuel. We dined out on our last night at The Italian which is in the right-hand cellar arch in The Shambles (marketplace building). It only has 5 tables so it might be worth booking. The food was very good and service very friendly.
The site owner was very friendly and was out to greet us when we arrived. As stated before, the pitches are large, even compared to some Club sites. The only downside to this site, if you are fussed about it, is that there is some slight road noise from the A65, but it didn't bother us at all. In the end it's easy to justify going to Orcaber. You have all the facilities of a Club site, except a playground, for a cost of £15 per night. Throw in the views and the excitement of towing down a single track road from the A65 (its only about half a mile) and the cost is even harder to beat!
We only had three full days in the Dales where we walked the Yorkshire Three Peaks - one on each day. There is so much more to do and see and so it is inevitable that we will return.
