We had just purchased our first motor home and this was our first trip away, We were full of ideas about wild camping and avoiding site fees, but we could only set off at 6. 00 pm in the middle of January during a cold snap so I thought it prudent to book a site for the first night and try everything out in the van before venturing out proper. I used UK campsite to search for a site that was open and had good reviews. Orcaber Farm fit the bill perfectly.
When we arrived we overshot the site entrance and ended up down the lane about a mile, but a phone call to the owner had him out in dreadful weather to wait in the road and guide us to our pitch. The site owner could not be more helpful.
The site itself was perfect for us, quiet, picturesque, lots of room to manoeuvre the van and a huge pitch to park up in. The toilets and showers were immaculate and even though it was frosty outside they were heated and very clean.
In the morning we set out for a walk and Neil the owner was out exercising one of his trotting ponies he took the time to come over for a chat and ask about our stay, his approach to customer satisfaction could put many a five star hotel to shame.
This is a site that we will return to many times in the future it’s in a perfect location for walking and cycling, the village of Austwick is about a mile away and the scenery is fantastic especially on a cold, bright winters morning. Highly recommended.

Recently spent 5 days at this site. Very well maintained and relaxing. The pitches are well spaced with fresh water and amenities close at hand. Although we are happy to use our own, the shower, washroom and toilet facilities are almost brand new and immaculately kept. The site is far enough from the main road to be very quiet, and nearby Austwick is the starting point for several walks (log and short) with the pub (Game Cock) supplying decent beers and good food at the end of the day - and also welcomes dogs as do several other pubs in the area.
If we were staying longer (or if the weather had kept us indoors - which it didn't) the lack of a terrestrial TV signal on our pitch might have been a problem but we believe Neil has plans are to provide a satellite signal in the near future.

We stayed here, for one night in our VW Campervan in early September.
When I called to book for the night the owner mentioned to me that the site had a private 'Beer Tasting' event on that evening and let us know in advance that there may be some noise from there. It was very nice to be forewarned. We decided to go for it anyway.
Upon arrival we saw the small sign directing us up to the house/office. The owner was very friendly, took us to the field and allowed us to choose where to pitch.
We chose no EHU so he only charged us £10.
We heard nothing from the 'beer tasting', the site was quiet (although plenty of tents and caravans). The toilet / shower block was really clean, although with the number of pitches it would be handy to have more loos.
We walked 20mins into the village and had a great meal at the superb 'Game Cock Inn' - amazing food and a sensible price. Dogs allowed too.
All in all a great site. Not entirely sure it has much to do with the Caravan and Camping Club as a certificated site, as there is far more than 5 pitches and our neighbours weren't members, but that doesn't stop it being a great site.

Just returned today from Orcaber Farm - AMAZING! Neil was brilliant and on hand to help with any questions. The site is beautiful and the facilities are lovely and VERY clean. We had poor weather for 2 days but this added to our experience 😊. We have already booked again for September and can't wait!

A delightful, small, friendly site. Peaceful (away from traffic). We stayed 4 nights mid-week and it wasn't crowded. The farmer, Neil, breeds trotting ponies and was welcoming and helpful. Toilets, showers and washing facilities all first class. A separate field for tents with generous sized pitches - flat and level. Swallows swooping over the grass, wagtails parading in front of the gateway, a spotted fly catcher operating from various locations in the hedge. Views across the fields to distant hills. The nearest shop is 1 mile away in Austwick. It opens early so handy for milk. Good food (French chef) & real ales at the Wood Cock, also in Austwick (dog friendly, book ahead, closed Mondays). We recommend the 4¾ mile walk from Austwick (copies of map / directions in the toilet block). We'll be back.

Have just spent a glorious week on this site. An immaculate site with clean toilets & showers although only a small number. Caravanners advised to have own facilities. Well kept site with magnificent views. Would highly recommend this site for walking and the 3 peaks. Within easy reach of Settle and shops.

Loved this site.
The field is very flat with a selection of pitches with and without EHU. The toilet and shower block is small but ample in size and is spotlessly clean. The staff on site are extremely friendly.
The location is perfect for Ingleton Waterfalls, white scar caves and various other local attractions.
I would definitely recommend this site and would love to visit again soon.

What a real gem!
Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning.
Plenty of space and surrounded by rolling hill and high hills just total bliss.
Showers are 50p for 10mins but that is plenty of time and really worth it.
The site is kept spotless and can't really fault it for the price.
The only neg is there is only 1 washing up sink and at busy times the hot water tends to run out, but its no biggie.

Recently stopped at orcaber farm camp site. Very pleasant site, we'll kept and very friendly and helpful people that run the site. The views were stunning. A very relaxing area. The shower rooms very clean, toilets too. Plenty of leaflets for surrounding attractions. Even though my partner and I are not walkers for various reasons we managed to walk to the local pub. Did us the world of good getting some fresh air and exercise. There was plenty of space for children to play and run around and be in the confines of a large field, and we're you could watch them from your vans or tents no problem. We enjoyed the piece so much we are going back soon and meeting up with other members of our family there. Thank you a lovely quiet, unspoiled area with total natural beauty. There was no problems with electrical hookup, slight problem with TV signal but that's all being up graded in the near future. The owners were very helpful and willing to try moving us to accommodate my partner get a better signal for the. Football. Some things take priority even on weekends away. The signal was fine. We did not need to relocate. But thank you anyway

Just returned from a few days camping at Orcaber Farm.
Great place, our 2 girls loved the freedom of being able to run about as the owners don't put tents in the middle of the field. Only around the perimeter fencing. The showers and toilet block were continually kept clean which was much appreciated. (50p for 10 minutes, I was able to get my 2 kids showered and changed with time to spare)
There is a certain 'back to basic' charm about the site which we loved. And we only paid £8 a night :-)
The owner Neil seems a decent guy and has a really good little site.
All within a walk or short drive to the beautiful walks and countryside the area has to offer.
We will definitely be returning soon as we only live 20 miles away.
