Our party, as usual, was made up of me (Dad), the wife; our two boys aged 10 & 7 and our doggie.

We used the C&CC Map and directions to the site which were clear and easy to follow. The use of Sat-Nav for this site would not lead to any great disaster but as the maps are clear, it’s best to use them once near to the site.

Check-in was as per usual C&CC standards and once paid up, you are shown to your pitch and then informed where all the amenities are located and once you’re happy, the Warden(s) leaves you to it.

We were allocated a pitch where by my 25 meter electric cable only just and I mean just, made it to my outfit. It left a tripping hazard for other people as the wire was stretched at the EHU bollard but no-one else seemed to be concerned.

Once again, we had booked a grass electric pitch and once again it turned out to have everything but grass and with Sandringham C&CC site, it was a horrible type of dust mixed with a sort of ash so come lifting day, everything had to be dusted down before being placed away and when it rained, everything which had already just had a dusting of the soil, now was caked in.

There are two separate shower / toilet blocks and even in high season, none of us had to queue for anything and the standards were very high at all times. These, considering they are not the newest on the club are of an excellent high standard.

The laundry, we felt, fell short in regards to not enough of them. We stayed for 5 nights and each time we went to use them a queuing was required for the washing machine.

My only real complaint was the times of the rubbish collection considering we were right opposite the sites refuse bins. First thing Saturday morning we were woken by the Rubbish Collection wagon making an early call and emptying the bins at a volume that seem to suggest that they were trying their hardest to ensure every last speck of dust had fallen from the bin into the dust cart.

On site, the Vodafone signal was perfect and 3G signal for our broadband dongle was also good.

Near-by, we visited the following attractions:

Langham Glass - this was great for adults but kids needed to be patient.

Bircham Windmill – Fantastic value for money and kids loved making their own cakes and having them baked.

Snettington Farm Park – The deer safari is well worth the money as the deer will eat out of your hand.

Best Regards

Andy O’Keeffe

Spent 2 nights here @ £26.00 per night all-in (2 adults, 2 dogs & electric). Reception were very friendly and helpful and the on-site shop very well stocked (opens between 9am-5pm, shut between 1-2pm for lunch).

There was a chip van on site Friday evening. Site was very busy and I was told almost full by the time we arrived which meant our choice of pitch was extremely limited, resulting in no satellite TV signal which was disappointing.

Our pitch was generous and having walked around the site, was glad to have been allocated a pitch in a quiet area! My sister used the toilet/shower facilities and was full of praise for them, saying they were even spotless mid-morning after a particularly heavy night of rain.

There was plenty of forest surrounding the site to walk the dogs in. Sandringham House is a 20-min walk and worth a visit. With at least 2 play areas, its a good site for families.

We have visited this site twice now in three years and I have always found it to be very well maintained and managed.

It always surprises me how many people are on the site and yet it maintains a peaceful air.

The facilities are well managed, clean and tidy and rarely appear to be overcrowded.

It did rain while we are on the site and although the ground does drain quickly some of pitches can be a little muddy.

A great site & a credit to the club & wardens.

A big site but because of the layout doesn't seem like it. Excellent loo blocks, different types of pitches ( shady, sunny, sheltered, windy)

Loads of paths to walk the dog & plenty of bins by all the gates into the woods. A good shop a few steps from the site.

Very windy while we were there but had a good sheltered pitch

Brilliant, roll on our next visit

Good camp site with excellent clean facilities, just be aware that the facilities are closed at periods throughout the day, so you must plan when to shower or do your washing up.

We pitched our tent only to find that we had little privacy as a large family party then arrived and we were totally surrounded by dogs, children and camper vans. We asked to move which was no problem, shown another 6 pitches and the new area was quiet and private.

Very helpful and polite staff. The fish and chip van was a life saver for the boys (Friday evening) and a good campsite shop. Watch the pigeons if you pitch under the trees, lots of cleaning up pigeon mess from the tent sheet. Would recommend the camp site and visit again.

What a beautiful site, I cannot fault it.

Friendly and helpful site staff made us feel welcome straight away.

We were amazed by how quiet and peaceful the site was despite being pretty busy with children and dogs. Also very friendly people on site too.

We visited Hunstanton and other picturesque villages between Hunstanton on route to Holkham where we found the most gorgeous beach, I would definitely recommend a visit there.

We also visited Castle Rising which was a lovely example of olden day architecture.

My only gripe was that we could only stay 2 nights because of work commitments and wanted to stay longer but we will definitely be returning soon.

Many thanks for a fantastic mini break :)

Just returned from a four night stay at this site. We have visited this site previously a few years ago and what a lovely site it was. However, on this visit we have to say we were disappointed with the condition of the site and the behaviour of other children staying here.

I understand that we have had a very dry period of weather and the grass has taken a hammering but this is not helped with the continual use of the site by children as a mountain X track. Staff did not seem bothered by the fact that this constant use of bikes and churning up the grass was ruining the site and other people's holiday.

Cycling around the toilet blocks was constant, even though the signs said not to do this. It seemed it was up to other campers to attempt to police this, as the staff were not interested. Noise levels on this site were pretty high but the site was three-quarters full, so I suppose was expected.

Due to it being a black sandy site, with not much grass left on it, our tent was very dirty on return and feet, shoes, etc, are constantly dirty.

We understand that campsites get busy and noisy and kids will be kids, having one ourselves, but the feeling we got from this site was that parents let their children do what they wanted and were not bothered about anyone else, as long as their children were not being noisy around their tent/caravan.

If you want a holiday in beautiful surroundings where its a children's free for all and you like lots of noisy kids and getting everything black and dirty, this is the site for you.

This was our third visit to this site and we weren't disappointed. Despite it being a very busy weekend we were quickly shown to a lovely pitch at the bottom end of the site.

As usual the facilities were excellent, plenty of hot water and regularly cleaned. The site was fully booked during our visit but still managed not to feel overcrowded and there was plenty of space for children to play. Our daughter had a great time and made lots of new friends. We spent most of our time relaxing on site or walking in the surrounding woods.

Shop is handy for milk, bread, papers etc but opening hours are quite short & it also closes for an hour at lunchtime.

Can highly recommend the Coach & Horses at Dersingham - delicious Sunday lunch & our dog was welcome too.

Our only complaint was that it was over too quickly! Booked another visit as soon as we got home :o)

We have a large tent and were placed between 2 trees. The roots of the trees were very large and actually made little holes in the floor of our tent. It was also very stoney and again made little holes in the floor of our tent which we didn't notice until we went to Cornwall in August and when it rained the mud came through the holes.

I was going to complain to Sandringham but didn't get round to it. I just thought I would never recommend the site to anyone.

The toilets were plentiful, however for such a large site not too many showers. Washing up facilities were sufficient and staff friendly. Not much to do in the surrounding area.

On arrival were met by a very nice warden who took us round and let us choose our pitch, which was right down the end,I love the way they are not lined up in a straight row. He informed us that the toilets and showers would only be opened at the weekend, which was fine with us. We did use the showers and toilets near to the entrance, which were the best I have ever been in. Lots of room and a little seat in dressing area of showers and lots of hooks. Plenty of hot water too.

There are little play areas dotted about, which a two toddlers loved.

We did do the walk to Sandringham House, which I have to say is a little further than was explained to us as a 20 min walk. (Glad we took the buggy)

We had fish and chips from the chip van on the Friday night, it wasn't great and wouldn't use it again. However there is a really lovely resturant on the main round about as you come in. I Can't remember its name but its right next to the Beat Western Hotel.

All in all this is a lovely site and the other campers were all very friendly, everyone that drove passed stuck to the speed limit which was great with little ones. We shall be returning again! (watch the bumpy road on the way in drive nice and slow and you will be fine)
