Recently spent 4 nights here before the Easter rush! Fantastically quiet, beautiful surroundings, excellent for walking the dog. facilities as you would expect from CCC. Nearby deserted beaches great for walking, we went to Brancaster, car parking expensive, so we went back to the village for free on street parking. We have been here several times before and will undoubtedly go many more times in the future. We love it. As we were leaving, Good Friday, others were piling in, so we got our timing right.

Had a very pleasant stay on this picturesque site. Shower/toilet blocks we used were close to reception and always spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful, so much so, we're going back in May. Would recommend this site to anyone.
We stayed in a quiet time, not sure how it would cope when full, only three showers per block. Shop stocks all the necessaries, pricey though, the walks are amazing, lots of wildlife to see, and good cycling routes locally too. A great base for a family holiday, or a quiet, picturesque site for a relaxing break.

Just got back from our first weekend at this delightful site. Fantastic shower blocks, freindly wardens and beautifully laid out. We loved the informal arrangment of the pitches (in stark contrast to the regimented rows of hard standings on the Caravan Club site next door (which was still closed!) The CCC age concession makes for a very reasonable weekend pricewise for us oldies and getting off was no problem even after 24 hours of rain! Lots of good walking & cycling around the site and plenty to see further afield - we shall become regulars!

We have just spent a week at the Sandringham caravan and camping club, it was an absolutley wonderful site, one of the cleanest and most peaceful. We will certainly be planning to go back again. The site managers are also very helpful. We would definitley recommend this site to everyone who loves a perfect week or two, for a holiday to unwind. So much to do in norfolk.

July 2005 We stayed on the site for 4 nights and by the end of it we had some positives and quite a few negatives. We explained we wanted a large pitch for a Vango 600 with electric hook up. We were given a pitch (apparently the only pitch big enough for our tent) right next to the sewerage plant.... nice! Considering we are members and felt we paid too much for a smelly pitch, there should definitely be discount for this pitch. The toilet block was dirty most of the time. The water in the mop bucket was always filthy and should have been changed more regularly. Always loads of hair in the plug holes for the showers so it ended up you turning shower off before you wanted to as the tray was over flowing. No cloths were provided for you to wipe the sinks once you had finished so most of the time the sinks were full of hair etc. You also had to pay for the hair dryer which we thought was quite unexpected as most sites (cheaper than this) provide free hair dryers.
Also I felt for the size of the site there were a lack of sinks to wash pots, there was always a queue. We took two cars of which one had to be parked just before the entrance to the site which for us was about 3/4 mile away. I felt this was not explained to us when we booked and was unnecessary as there was plenty of space around the pitch for the second car.
The positives to the site was that it is set in beautiful surroundings and there seemed plenty of room for children on the site to play. Normally on large sites there are noisy families but it was very peaceful. The location of the site for north Norfolk is very good. We were disappointed because we expected so much more from the site than we got. Some of the points made earlier might seem picky but we have stayed on far cleaner sites which are not part of the Camping and Caravanning Club. We don't intend to return because of these problems.

May 2005 I have been here many times. I think it is my favourite site of it's type. It is large - although you wouldn't know it. Set out a bit like a French site - not all in rows - but there are defined pitches. You can be in trees or in the open.
Large toilet blocks which are built in timber to merge in with the surrounding forest. Showers can be busy at peak times.
The site drains well. Plenty of wildlife. Shop by the gate, but nothing else close. Good for bikes and walking.
Sandringham Estate is - well - just there! Easy run to some great beaches.
Great for all types of camping.

July 2005 This is a really nice site that is well maintained and run by very friendly & helpful staff. Although the site was very busy, it was still quite peaceful and we had a lovely pitch surrounded by trees. The facilities were very clean with plenty of hot water. There is also a well stocked shop towards the edge of the site, selling all of those essentials that you forget to pack.
The area itself is lovely with some really nice cycle routes around the estate. We would recommend going up to Brancaster beach for the day. Once you get away from the area of the beach nearest to the small beach shop and car park it is nice it's a lovely stretch of sandy beach perfect for kite flying and wakeboarding. Parking there was £3 for the day.

July 2005 We went at the very beginning of July overnight - unfortunately we didn't really enjoy our stay. Yes, the facilities are excellent - clean toilets / hot showers, nice play area for the kids. But it was sooooo cramped. You can hear everything the next tents say and unfortunately we were positioned next to a group of 35 people having a party. We won't be going back - going to try something more remote next time with less facilities but more space as thought that was what camping was all about - seeing the countryside - all we saw were tent after tent and people spreading their equipment right near our porch.

June 2005 We stayed 2 nights on this wonderful site. The ground is flat and well drained. Pitches are among the trees, wood pigeons and rabbits roam freely. The showers and toilets are spotless and plenty of hot water. Heacham beach nearby is great for the kids to run around and build sandcastles. Hunstanton is great for typical seaside activities. Loads of walks nearby. In the woods next to site we saw deer. There were crossbills in the campsite trees. A lovely area and a fantastic campsite.

March 2005 Our most recent visit was over the Easter holiday weekend. As always, the site and its facilities were immaculate. Our only negative experience was upon arrival, when, probably as a result of the recently introduced (and in my view, very misguided) £5 penalty for arrivals before noon, there was a long queue to get into the site. We arrived at 12.50 and were not shown to our pitch until about 1.45. This is a very special site, with a lovely ambience. The current staff seem friendly and welcoming, so long may they continue! As we qualify for the Members Age concession, a stay here is very cheap for us.
