 Really lovely site! Very friendly staff who were very welcoming and happy to help.
This is a big site, although the layout is very good so you never feel like it. Toilets and showers were very clean all the time, and despite being quite busy we didn't have to wait at all.
We were near the entrance under the trees, which was a bit of a pain as it rained quite a bit and the constant dripping from the trees started to irritate after 2 days! However in good weather the shade of the trees would probably be welcome as some of the site is quite open.
Would highly recommend for a short or long stay.

Arrived about 8-30pm and was welcomed by a polite and helpful warden who showed us to our pitch. Woke up next morning to beautiful sunshine and views. Great site for a relaxing break in fantastic surroundings. Showerblock / toilets clean and tidy. Off-site shop well stocked. Definitely worth another visit. Could have sworn I saw the queen selling veg at a stall up the road. Might be mistaken.

We just turned up without booking and were surprised to find spaces. The site is well laid out, but not many hardstandings. Also found you could have a long walk to the water and rubbish bins. In places there was no grass, but told it had been seeded. The site was quiet during the evening seeing it was about half full. The area is wonderful with lots of walks in the woods.

This was our second stay at this site! I have to say that we loved it last time, but this time it didn't really match up to what we had previously experienced- which is a shame!
I think because the weather picked up (finally)that it was a case of cramming as many people onto the site as possible, which caused problems on leaving because you had no idea which way to go without crashing into someone elses caravan (although we are very new to towing, so it might have been a lack of experience on our part).
Previously we were pitched near the front entrance which was perfect, and the facilities were 'spot on' - however this time we were further in the middle, and the toilets were clean, but definitely an older block than the other one which could need updating!I also don't think the floors were cleaned more than once a day which when it's muddy it can cause problems.
However, it is a nice walk to Sandringham and the visitor centre and there are lots of other things to see and do around the area!

Firstly I have to say that this is probably the best site I have stayed at. Loved it.
We were taken to our pitch by a very friendly warden who took us to a quiet little corner of wooded site. The pitch was very spacious. The site itself is very large, 300+ pitches, but where we were, not far from the office, you would never know it. The three toilet blocks were very, very clean, as were the pot wash area and the laundry room.
The off site shop has all you need in an emergency. Our kettle broke when we were there and managed to get one from the shop.
There are some wonderful woodland walks around the campsite, our dog Harry loved it.
We went out in the car one evening, went about 400 yards down the road and saw a deer standing by the side of the road.
The area around Sandringham is a great area to visit. Besides the royal sites to visit, some of the local villages are quite pleasant and pretty. Dressingham has two nice pubs that had very nice food on offer. A little farther afield there is the seaside town of Hunstanton and the main town of the Kings Lynn. On the road from Kings Lynn to Sandringham there is a large farm shop that has all fresh local produce including Veg and a bakery. When we were there it was Strawberry time. We stopped every time we past the shop to take some Strawberries and Cream back to the caravan.
All in all a great site and a great area to visit.

Fantastic site, the toilets and dish washing facilities were extremely clean on all of my 'visits'. A very pleasant atmosphere in sheltered tree lined pitches. The gates are locked from 23:00 so there were no car noises from then, there is also loads of parking just outside the gates. The kids loved cycling in and around, staying off busy roads and on nice cycle paths.
The only downsides were, some slightly sloping pitches but we didn't have one of these and the pitches near to the septic could be quite unpleasant (I noticed it smelling while cycling round on a recce), fortunately we were nowhere near this.
Very highly recommended, we will go back soon!

I tend to agree with Millym. This was our first Camping and Caravanning Club Site, and we too had quite high expectations of it. Sadly the Convenience store wasn't, opening as it did from 0900Hrs - 1700Hrs, although I was happy that they had the essentials. The kids play areas were a poor effort as previously stated. The dishwashing facilities always had a queue. Over the bank holiday you were lucky to get a shower after 1800hrs and before 2200hrs without queuing, similarly with toilets.
Don't bother taking your own freezer blocks as they won't freeze them for you, instead you leave a deposit for their blocks and pay to swap them (strictly between 0900 and 1800Hrs).
We found a distinct lack of interest when we approached the staff about the levels of noise from a group near us, in fact a female staff member was quite rude to my wife when she dared to ask them to monitor it.
This is a beautiful looking site, and the facilities are clean, though I think the space afforded to you by a C & CC pitch allows you to believe there are fewer people than there actually are.
The area is lovely with nice walks for the dogs and plenty of dog friendly beaches within 20 mins car drive. Though for other entertainment I did feel that we had to travel quite some distance.

Having read other fab reviews of this site I had high expectations. The site is good but sadly it didn't live up to my expectations. Lovely forest settings with loads of great walks through the estate.
Like the previous reviewer, we were disappointed with the shop. It has all the basics but I'd been expecting loads of local produce which just wasn't there.
Reading early reviews about the toilets and showers I wonder if I was staying on the same site? Lots of children were allowed to use the toilet/shower block unaccompanied and didn't bother to clean up after themselves. On many occasions we found the floor and washbasins to be filthy. There were only 3 washing up points on our part of the site with frequent queues to wash up. The floor in there was filthy too with no mop to clean up. Bins seemed to be constantly full and we didn't see any recycling facilities.
We walked to Sandringham for the flower show on 30 July. It was a very hot day and proved too far for our 3 year old to walk there and back. One of us had to sit with him whilst the others walked back to site to get our car.

This site is quite large and lovely and flat, and the units are all well spaced out so even when full it didn't feel crowded. There were also lot's of EHU points. It is a long thin site with 3 spotlessly clean facilities blocks spaced evenly along the length. There are 2 small children's play areas (1 baby swing, 1 normal swing and small slide / climbing platform), near the first 2 facilities blocks.
The site has a lot of trees - mostly pines, which are great for shade but drop sap on your tent! Plus there are loads of noisy (pooping) wood pigeons. The site is surrounded by either strips of trees or woodland. NB, One side of the site does border a road favoured by late night boy racers and several people pitched in this area complained of late night road noise.
The facilities block nearest the entrance seemed to be recently refurbished with better showers than the other blocks.
Children tended to play in big gangs (including our two) until about 9.30 - 10pm, especially around the play areas. If you have small children that need to go to bed earlier or would prefer to not hear children playing, the site seemed to be quieter on the side towards Glucksburg wood and the shop and further down on the site. The site was silent by 10.30pm latest every night we were there.
The shop is 10 metres off site in the wood. It has a huge choice of tat (sorry, souvenirs and pocket money toys) but quite a disappointing food selection. There are all the basics food wise and quite a big selection, but it's not very inspiring and it would be great to see it stocking at least some local fresh produce bearing in mind it's location. (Unless you count Coleman's of Norwich Chilli con Carne packet mix local produce!)
There are some fantastic farm shops (try Walsingham) and local shops in nearby towns (Holt and Wells next the Sea were both good) for locally produced fresh fruit / veg / meat / seafood and bread etc. There are also some really great small independent breweries. (Norfolk is the main UK area for barley malting!) The Norfolk Ale shop on the Fakenham to Wells Road is a must for CAMRA devotees.
There is a big choice of beaches catering for all requirements. Our favourite (and the Queen's) is Holkham beach, opposite Holkham Hall, about 45 mins drive away. The beach has miles of soft golden sand, you have to pay £3.50 to park and there aren't any facilities except one posh burger van owned by the Holkham Hall estate. It can be quite a trek, about 15 mins walk from where you park to the beach. NB Beach is not well sign posted!
Sandringham House and gardens is about a 20 - 30 min walk from the site and worth a visit. The House/gardens are closed at the end of July for a couple of weeks. Sandringham flower show is at the end of July and is a great day out with lots of shows in the main arena for those that aren't garden fanatics. Also HRH makes an appearance - but beware of scores of 'mature' women handbagging you to get to the front to see Charles and Camilla! (I joke not).
BeWILDerwood (near Wroxham) is a great day out if you have kids in the 4 - 10 age range. Basically it's a giant adventure playground, with a story / quiz trail to follow. Lot's of slides, tree houses and zip wires. Also, lot's of wasps and crying younger children because they'd fallen over / off something!

I would just like to repeat the sentiments left by others - what a great site! We took our 7 month old daughter camping for the first time and really enjoyed our stay (extending it by 3 days).
The site is beautifully laid out with very good facilities, including a parent and baby room in each (very clean) toilet block which was great for us.
Some very nice places to visit, particularly along the norfolk coast line (Thornham, Brancaster, Wells & Sheringham)
Would certainly highly recommend this site.
