This was a lovely campsite - very peaceful and relaxing. the showers were excellent - very clean and lovely and hot. The pub serves wonderful food and the staff are friendly. The only quibble I have is that the owner came over in the morning to get the money from us which felt a little bit intrusive - we would rather have paid on arrival or at the end. Apart from that it's great and the ducks are very friendly and so cute!

Just spent Easter weekend at this campsite. Great site in a wonderful place. OK facilities, could be improved upon but I sometimes wonder what people want? The facilities were clean and adequate for the weekend we were there, can't vouch for busier times. This is a lovely rural site without the regimented running and housing estate look of a Caravan and Camping Club site, the pub is a proper pub with great beer and excellent food, would I go there again.... too darned right I would.

September 2005 A nice site, but overpriced for the facilities available. The washrooms have 2 sinks, 2 showers and 2 WC's which are inadeaquate for size of the site. They need to have a squeegy or mop to cope with the wet muddy floor so users can clean up after themselves.
The warden was straight at you for payment, we even watched him knocking overnight arrivals up for fees.
It's saving grace is the pub. If you aren't fussed by waiting and being crammed in that is. I booked 5 days in advance and was disapointed by being chucked in a corner and forgotten about. The food was excellent.
I would say it is a pleasant site but you could do better.
I have stayed at similar sites to Reedham Ferry which WERE worth the price, as the limited facilities were attended regulary to keep to high standard.

July 2005 This is a beautifully kept rural campsite set at the side of the River Yare within the Norfolk Broads. We pre-booked pitches via the telephone with a very friendly man and upon our arrival a welcome board had our names on it and directed us to our allotted area.
The camping area was clean, tidy and well-maintained with water taps, a large communal bbq area and a couple of picnic tables. we were allowed to pitch where we liked and although an August weekend, we weren't tripping over other campers and had plenty of space.
The icing on the cake was a fantastic pub - adjacent to the site - offering great views of the river AND the small river ferry (for those coming from south of the water), great meals and a cosy pub atmosphere.
The site also has a sloping ramp into the river so it was ideal for those campers who enjoy canoeing and the like.
The toilet and shower block was basic and quite small but with excellent hot water... although it was a bit of a trek from the camping pitches.
That small gripe aside, this place is a gem and thoroughly recommended if you enjoy peace and quiet, riverside walks and top class pubs. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

June 2005 In a picturesque location and the grounds are nicely maintained with an interesting duck pond for the children and inquisitive mallards visitng around breafast time for tit bits. Also adding to the dawn chorus! Good walks available alomg the river bank. However, toilet/washing facilities are minimal consisting - in the Mens - of 2 wc's, 2 urinals, 2 washbasins (no shelves or hooks ) and 2 showers. No sign of the promised new replacement facilities.

August 2004 Must disagree somewhat with previous comments. Fairly recently returned from this park, whilst a nice site in a nice location, I honestly can't say that it's the best one I've visited.
We were camping and it seems to to me a back to front idea to put the tents who definitely need toilets / showers etc farthest away from these facilities. Talking of which, I wasn't very impressed with the standard of the toilets /showers at all. OK it was very muddy (the weather was atrocious), but the floors of the block were constantly dirty and swimming in water. The mud I can excuse to a certain extent (although a mat outside would have helped), but why did the floor have to be constantly covered in water. I had a shower the first day, but the condiitions really put me off and I didn't bother on the 2nd day we were there.
The food at the pub, was also distinctly average and whilst I don't mind a reasonable wait virtually an hour is pushing things a bit and the choice was very limited too.
The ferry price at £3.40 is also a bit steep, but coming from were we live, we couldn't avoid it except by making a very large detour.
All in all, whilst I enjoyed the weekend, this will probably not be a site that I would return too.

August 2004 An excelent site. Well run and no problems. we had two 2 year olds, a 3 year and a 5 year old and the water was no problem. The fishing lake is a field away and the river isn't on site. If you have a boat, take it, the slipway is free. The only down side was the toilets, but we where told they are building new ones this winter. Will be using this site again

July 2002 Recommended by friends, but we didn't believe them when they said how good this place was. They weren't kidding! Right beside the river where the ferry crosses (max, 4 cars), behind the pub. Nice landscaping, clean toilets & showers. Peace and quiet, right in the middle of the Broads. Good for walking & cycling (leave the car on site and take the 15 minute walk to the station), close-ish to Norwich / Great Yarmouth. Great meals at the pub (reasonable prices too!). If you're touring the Broads / East Anglia, this is a pleasant stop-over

June 2004 A nicely maintained, small site. If you book in advance your pitch is reserved by name with a little board. There is a lot of water around, with the river on one side, a pond in the middle and a ditch at the back, so a little worrying for parents of small children. Lovely clean facilities, good hot powerful showers. A good base for exploring the broads. Pub at the entrance with tables overlooking the river, lovely in the evenings. All in all a very nice site.

August 2003 I have been caravanning for a number of years and this has to be one of the best sites I've visited. The site is perfect for a relaxing holiday and the scenery is beautiful. It has a lovely pond in the centre of the site with ducks wandering around. The pub outside of the site serves beautiful meals with the friendliest of staff. The showers and toilets are immaculately clean. The staff were a real pleasure to meet. Certainly recommend this site and I will certainly be returning.
