August 2003 Had to have a look at this site by previous reviews, and yes it lives up to every single thing that was said. We took two yorkies and three children, under fourteen and found it one of the best touring holidays we have had. I recommend this site to anybody and will probably meet you there as I'm going back as often as I can. A++++

August 2003 We visited this site because of the reviews on this website and we give the site 10 out of 10. Flat site, immaculately maintained, hot & clean showers, clean loos, quiet, fab location, within walking distance of 4 fantastic pubs. There was even a guy on a scooter selling newspapers each morning at breakfast time. We will definitely be going back.

May 2003 A very good site indeed. Very peaceful setting. The site is well laid out with plenty of room, in May anyway, on pleasantly shaded lawns. Roughly 50/50 electrical hook ups or not.
The unimportant down side is probably the cramped toilet facilities - 2 toilets and 2 showers in the Gents - not enough room to swing a cat (strange idea).
The best points are the wonderful views along and across the river and the pub. You can indeed see Barn Owls hunting from your tent. The pub is very popular (but not noisy), and offers superb food and a decent slection of real ales.
This was our first weekend camping trip and we will certainly use the site again.

May 2003 A small site but very picturesque, situated next to the Ferry pub which served delicious food and drinks (good stop over for you real ale buff's). We spent two nights their and would certainly go back again. The Three S's

March 2003 Lovely Pub. Camped here for the weekend at the end of March. A very pleasant experience indeed (Lovely Pub). To actually sit outside the tent eating bacon rolls for breakfast watching Barn Owls hunt the dykes on the water meadows was superb. Only let down was thw facilites while they were very clean in the gents the floor was always wet, on a virtually empty site not a problem but if full could well be. The Ferry Inn is a very lovely pub (I may have mentioned that already) beer is gorgeous, foods not bad either. All in all a nice site. Please don't all go as I will go back myself. By the way it has a lovely pub right next door.

AUG 2002 if you are looking for the camping version of Shangri-La you need look no further. Idyllic spot on the banks on the Yare nearby to the Inn and the ancient looking car ferry that clanks and bangs backwards and forwards all day. just sitting on the wharf and watching with a beer in your hand takes at least 2 hours to do! The inn serves great food and was always very busy when we were there. the site itself was clean and freshly mown, with some serviced pitches and some without. there were ready built barbeques for your convenience should you need to use one. washrooms were Ok, big enough and they didn't seem overcrowded at the time. Pleasant staff who didn't push for payment ( i had been there 2 days before they wandered over to collect the cash ) and when I did pay it was SO reasonable. I really should'nt be encouraging others to go so as not to spoil it for ourselves, but it's just too nice not to share it.. I hope you appreciate it too...
