We were one of only a handful caravans on this site - the majority of units were motorhomes which were there for a few nights and them moved on.
The site is located very conveniently for the Park and Ride and we found it great value for money.
The toilets and showers were very clean and I would have to disagree with the previous reviewer as we did not feel they were shabby.
We spent a lovely week at this site and would recommend it.

Directions:
The site is easy to find from the old A4 road into Bath and signed with a Brown Tourist sign. There seemed a majority of fellow M/H and Campervans rather than Caravans, tents not allowed.
Site Description:
The pitches are well laid out and spacious with individual EHC and TV socket.
Facilities:
There are 3 toilet blocks and they were all clean and sound. Cannot really agree the criticism of previous reviews but my wife said finding the light switches in the Ladies was hard and others had found this a problem too.
Service:
Friendly reception. Most impressed with the late arrivals system for both booked and un booked.
Value:
We paid 49 Pounds for 2 nights which isn’t cheap but the location is excellent and the facilities are good.
Location:
There are lots of things to see in Bath and the tow path is a great way to get to the City from the site by bike. The first part of the path is unmade and when it rains it’s muddy, as you’d expect. However turn right out side the site, through a small industrial estate and you soon arrive at the tarmac cycle path. There is also a park and ride opposite.
Receptions:
TV signal was not good
Mobile phone signal is good
Wi-Fi is offered.
Our Opinion:
We would certainly return. Highly recommended.

While I agree with many aspects of other reviews eg ideal location, friendly helpful office staff I feel I must make some adverse comments.
I did find the toilet block to be tatty on the outside but felt they were equally tatty on the inside. I would say that they are much in need of a makeover.
I spent five nights on site and after but three the bins were full to overflowing and the drains beside the washing up area smelt unpleasant to say the least.
Having said all that I did enjoy my stay thanks to some lovely weather and the ease with which you could get in and out of Bath

Postcode on the satnav was spot on and very easy access from the A4.
Office staff man very friendly and helpful. Pitch on hardstanding pre allocated and precise.
Toilets excellent and on a key code access. Bit tatty from outside but superb and clean on the inside.
Go out of gate, turn left along tow path and 30mins plus and you are in centre of Bath. The towpath is muddy in places and can be a bit tatty, but no different from any city centre. The Abbey is worth a visit along with free museum, Holbourne Art museum on Great Poultney Street, along from the bridge.
There is pub to the right of the site next to the Park and Ride.
We would go again if in the area

A pleasant site next to the river Avon in an excellent location for visiting Bath with a Park & Ride a few minutes walk from the site.
Good size hard standings. The toilet block was clean but unfortunately one ladies shower dribbled out water, the other missed the mark! On the positive side the water was always hot.
The caravan site staff were helpful and friendly and rang us at home before we left to inform us of the reduced office opening hours.
A pub serving really good food was just a few minutes walk along the towpath but could also be accessed by walking along the path beside the road, which we did as the towpath was muddy.

We booked this site as we wanted to visit the Christmas Market in Bath and came unstuck trying to use the Park&Ride a couple of years ago as it was full on two occasions, so decided to book early so we could walk to it this time. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and given information about the buses and surrounding area. The P&R is great to use and so easy from the site. We used it all 3 days and couldn't fault it at all.
The site consists of concrete hard standings without any character at all, although there is a bit of grass between pitches and the odd tree. That said as we were only there for 3 nights it was fine. Weekends tend to be busy so early booking is advisable. It was full Fri/Sat with only a few spaces available on the Thursday when we arrived.
The toilet blocks didn't look anything special from the outside but they were spotless and really warm (didn't understand a previous comment saying they needed updating). We did find the road noise a bit loud, especially first thing in the morning on Friday, but this could be because we live in a quiet area in Devon and not used to hearing traffic.
The TV signal isn't great so you will need a lead to plug into the electric box. This can be hired from reception (if available) but if you're staying more than 3 nights you can buy it cheaper.
This is a great site for visiting Bath and I'm sure we will return again.

This is a brilliant site with excellent bus links and a park and ride on the doorstep.
nice walk along the tow-path although the time of year made it a bit boggy with the rain we had.
Toilets very clean and cleaned regularly.
The receptionist was very friendly and let us pick a different pitch as we couldn't get satellite tv on the original pitch.
A few long termers there by the look of them but not intrusive.
Bath is a lovely city with plenty of things to do would definitely use this site again

We have just returned from a four day break at this site.
We arrived after the office was closed and there was an envelope for us on the late arrivals board which gave us all the info we needed to pitch up.
The pitches are hard standing and most are tree covered. We did not use the awning. The site instructions are that you can pitch any way round on your pitch. Unusual I thought.
We ventured to The Boathouse pub which is about a five min walk along the towpath. The Sunday lunch was nice but a tad pricey at £12. The pub is beside the river and has a nice decked area.
Bath is about two miles along the towpath, about 45 mins walk. Quite pleasant well used and tarmacked for most of the way.
There are many things to see and do in Bath. Three days was enough to see most of it. We took the big red bus open topper which was £12 each but that was for two days use.
The Roman baths are a must see. We also went to the Thermae Spa for the afternoon which was also nice and relaxing.
You are spoilt for choice with the amount of different restaurants and shops. All sorts to tempt you.
There is another pub along the towpath back to the site named The Dolphin. We only had a drink there but it is in need of a lot of TLC and a repaint. We did not see anyone eating there but the site info states good food. Cannot comment.
The last reviewer mentioned about the in gate always being up and the drive upto out gate. This is true but it did not cause us any problems.
To end I would say that the site is well positioned, reasonably priced, the toilets and showers need updating but were always clean and tidy.

Excellent site for visiting Bath attractions. Reception were efficient and well organized, pitch was already designated although we requested a change as we appeared to have the only pitch with disintegrating concrete base and last persons oil leak remnants including oily rags.
Change of pitch was granted without fuss and apology made. The facilities all have coded entrance doors and are clean although basic.
Entrance to the site did appear to be a bit lax with the barrier permanently in the open position with the potential for anyone entering being to be unchallenged. Equally on exit any vehicle was able to drive up to the barrier and it just rose automatically unchallenged.
We did attempt to use the nearby park and ride but were astonished that the bus driver would only accept the correct fare and did not give change.
All in all a good base for visiting sights of Bath and would recommend the site.

We stayed at this caravan site for the bank holiday weekend and surprisingly it wasn't busy at all. First impression: an old council-owned caravan site with concrete pitches and old looking toilet blocks.
The lady at the reception was kind and gave us the information needed. Despite having loads of empty spaces, we were given a minuscule pitch with awkward access to it: it was impossible reversing the caravan into it.
The toilets were very clean but in need of an update. Nice the canal and marina within the park. There was a big children play area too. Lovely pub next to the site and very handy park&ride bus stop (£2. 50 per adult) just 3mins away. Nonetheless, for the high price of the bus service we decided to park in Bath city centre.
Overall a decent caravan site, but definitely not up to of 'Caravan Club' sites standards.
