Great Campsite !
We visited for 4 days and loved it. It was quite and the pub just a short walk was very good. You can walk into Bath which we did and was a nice walk watching the canal boats go through the locks. The toilets and washing facilities were very clean and yes the showers could do with a make over but hey this is camping, they were hot and clean that's what counts.
We enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Booked by phone and was quoted £42. 60 for 2 nights with EHU by a very pleasant man. On arrival at the site we found checking in was easy, with very helpful staff on reception. We were very pleasantly surprised with the whole site: it was immaculate, very well maintained and had direct access to the canal towpath. Our two doggies - Toby (GSD) and Tilly (Yorkiepoo) were welcomed and fussed by other doggies on site and their equally friendly owners! Yes - there is some traffic noise but it is far from obtrusive and it didn't bother us at all. You can't stay this close to a city and expect total silence! Access to Bath was superb along the towpath - hubby cycled into town Sunday morning while I entertained the doggies! Great bakery nearby - they leave bread in bags outside the shop and you post money through the letterbox! Toilet block is dated but very clean. Lovely play area for children - safe and clean. The Boathouse Pub/Restaurant is in a fantastic spot literally 5 mins stroll from the site. We went there for our Sunday Lunch - sat outside near the water with the doggies. Food arrived cold. OK so we were outside but it was a warm, sunny day. The chicken was tough and tasteless. Roast potatoes were just edible; the 2 small carrots were undercooked (and I like my veg with a bite)and the 'greens' (when I found them) were tasteless and mushy. Not enough gravy - Yorkshire Puddings awful. Considering the location of this place, the Landlord should be making more effort to offer acceptable food at a reasonable cost. Personally, I can truthfully say that I could have cooked a far superior Sunday Lunch in our motorhome for the 5 of us, and wished I had! Cannot let this reflect on the site though - we shall return, without doubt. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Stayed here last week for 3 nights. Easy to find and straightforward check in. Young lady on reception (didn't get her name) was polite and explained everything we needed to know. We easily found our pitch. Concrete hardstanding, which was fine for us. Some of the pitches are quite tight to manoeuvre if you have a larger unit. Site was smaller than I anticipated, but we loved it. Ideal for getting into Bath approx 2 miles and the Boathouse pub a 5 minute walk. Park and ride is also just about a 5 minute walk. We were here for cycling so getting on the cycle path was ideal. We cycled to Bristol one day, a lovely tarmac route and Bradford on Avon the next day along the very pretty canal towpath. Showers and toilets on site were very clean when we used them and didn't seem to be particularly busy. We didn't have to queue, although the campsite was full. We would recommend this site and will definitely be going back.

Stayed here in August 2016 for one night in a motorhome where the pitch was pre-booked. I booked a main site large pitch but on arrival ended up being given main site small pitch with no explanation why it had been changed? Envelope left outside reception on our arrival. Site grounds were clean but the toilets & showers were dated & quite dirty & smelly! On a positive note, the site is nicely located right next to the tow path which is ideal for running, walking or cycling & leads into Bath City Centre.

Had a 2 night stay to visit Bath. Easy access to the site, friendly staff, concrete hard standing pitch. Toilets could do with some repair/updating as they are a little run down but were clean. Washing up area ok. Pitches were a little close together, but we have seen worse. Good base to visit Bath as others have said. We walked in as we like walking but you could use the bus or cycle in. The Boat house pub does reasonable food at a reasonable price & it's only a short walk from the site.

Spent a week here, on arrival a sign says 'no tents' but we did see some here. After reading reviews, we rang and asked how many toilets in total there were. Sick of going to sites which do not have enough. The man told us '18' total, mens and womens. There are two toilet and shower blocks, 2 mens and 4 womens toilets in each, two toilets that are locked at the outside of reception, presumably for canal boat users, and disabled toilets at each block; I make that 16, Mr smarty pants obviously included the staff toilets in the office. All pitches are hard standing, in that they are concrete, so if you have an awning, you have to think about where you position it. Never used the showers; I looked at both blocks and all I saw was wet floors and long dark hairs, lots of them, stuck all over the floor. Reminded me of public toilets. On the last day, someone had stolen a toilet seat from the mens.
Care needs to be taken as the pitches are close together, we were in the larger pitches near the road, lucky no one was across from us when manouvering our caravan in.
Bizarrely check in time is 12pm, and so is check out time! Fun and games. We came in following south of the river through Bath, but when we left it was from the A4 or Bristol Road and over the bridge (where we saw The Boathouse Pub), much less stressful, and busy this way.
We walked up to the pub, 'The Boathouse' average pub food and great location. Go to the left of reception and turn right on the path, easy 10 minute walk. We never drove into Bath, but caught taxis, just under £10 one way. Park and ride is very close by. We went to London for the night from the train station, Lacock village, Corsham, Fairleigh Hungerford Castle and Cheddar.

2nd visit. I have read a lot of reviews about rude staff on here but I have to say Robyn, who booked us in, was really lovely and helpful and made us feel more than welcome. Our TV lead was too short so they lent us one rather than selling us one for £15. Thank you.
We stayed 3 nights across the road from the public play park and field. This was ideal to exercise the dogs and was really quiet at night.
Nice, clean pubs nearby with good food, if a little expensive.
Lidl and a new M&S is a short bike ride along the river towards Bath if you wish to stock up but Chelsea Road along the main road has lots of local facilities such as cafes, hairdressers etc.
Apparently the 'Two Tunnels' bike ride is a must! We didn't do it as we didn't have time but will be sure to do it next time.
Would stay again.

Stayed for the weekend, very nice place, very helpful staff, got a bit 'misled' over booking/camping costs, initially told one price p/n over the phone, the at reception turned out to be a lot more expensive +vat, still it was a good w/end, good weather, great for river walking /bikeriding to bath or bus over the road to bath or bristol or the p+r just up the road. Lots to do & see in bath, can't wait to go again. Toilets very clean &tidy with a keypad entry alough slightly dated. Couldn't see the info on shower control(if any) a bit dark in there even in the daytime. Otherwise couldn't fault the place, plus for extra £6 I could stay on the pitch for as late as I needed for the last day.

What a shame, great location, but this site is so unloved.
The grass is too long the pitches are full of weeds, and well overgrown.
Facilities in need of updating and a little TLC.
Good bus service into Bath lots to do and see.
Staff were friendly but site reception opened limited hours.

This is an ideal site for visiting Bath buses are just a 4 min walk and take you into the centre of Bath. You can use your bus pass if you have one, ours did not register but we were still allowed to travel at no charge.
Now the site:- we just spent 5 nights here, it is flat and level the pitches are concrete and some have sung into the ground at their corners making them slightly out of level. Should you wish to put up a awning you need to pitch right on the edge of the concrete. Be aware that some pitches have trees next to them which makes it impossible to put up an awning.
The site was tidy and well kept but the facilities are in need of updating and a bit more TLC, the showers are very hot, there are no privacy cubicles in the men's for those who prefer to use them, my wife says that there are in the ladies. They are warm and kept clean.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
There are two pubs close by The boat house served a good meal, the other one was closed for refurbishment so can't comment on it.
There are roads either side of the site and some road noise can be heard but not enough to annoy.
We would use this site again if in the area.
Read the reviews of others who mention items I have not for an overall picture of this site.
