Returned here again for another 3 nights to visit Bath. Easy access off the A4 Newbridge Road. Bath now has a Low Emissions Zone in the City Centre and although our Motorhome is OK (we checked on the website) our SatNav offered us an option to avoid it which we took. Not much difference in journey time in our view and much easier than driving through the City Centre.
Concrete hardstanding pitches which are handy in Winter mostly standard but there are also a handful of Service Pitches. There is also a Motorhome Service Point by the exit but it does not have a tap to fill your motorhome water tank! Therefore some motorhomers were using the normal taps and blocking the road.
A lot has been said about the condition of the facilities blocks so I won't make any further comments except to say they are correct. Parts of the site are also becoming a bit run down and could do with some maintenance. However the chances of any refurbishments being undertaken is uncertain in our view because our understanding is the new owners Aquavista have planning permission to install 20 pine lodges. How this will affect the future of the touring site is unclear.
We had lunch in The Boathouse which is next to the park & ride and a drink in The Locksbrook Inn and we would recommend both and they are both within easy walking distance.
As previous reviewers have stated there is a park & ride less than 10 mins walk away to take you into Bath City Centre. This is the main reason for staying at this site. As we mostly use the facilities in our motorhome the condition of the facilities blocks do not bother us. But if you do and as long as you can accept them for what they are then this is a good site to stay at to visit Bath.

It has been a few years since we last stayed here and we were disappointed with the facilities.
We accept that the weather turned cold, but this meant we couldn’t wash up in the huts because the taps were frozen, we couldn’t get water out of the stand pipes either.
We notified reception who then gave us some water and said they would get Maintenance to look at it. Maintenance wrapped tissues round the taps which then just froze. Both toilet blocks were shameful, we know they are old but they needed a good clean.
Looking at Aquavista’s plans for the site looks like most of the touring pitches will be lost to log cabins.

An excellent site for visiting Bath and considering it’s near a main road it’s relatively quiet.
The park and ride offers a regular service into Bath and there’s a bus which runs to/from Bristol which runs on the main road near the site.
It’s a pity the shower blocks aren’t nicer, although the water was nice and hot, (the portacabin ones are nicer than the main block).
We would return to the site for its location to Bath.
We loved the Locksbrook Inn which is about a 15 minute walk from the site.

Great location for walking into Bath (which we did in 23mins and partly on waterside) or jump on park and ride, which is just 5mins walk away.
Fully serviced pitch was good size and no issues checking in, toilet/shower units 1x newer one is decent and the older one just needs a bit of a facelift,
But overall for an almost city centre site, it’s good enough for me and we will use again when we next visit our son, who is at uni in Bath.

A site which is popular for its location as it is approx 2 miles from Bath.
The site itself is ok with hard standing pitches but is expensive at £40-45 a night considering the shower and toilet blocks need a good updating, people were unable to get in the ladies toilets as the door wouldn't open with the code we were given.
Tv signal very poor, canal path and pub close by.

Basic site but ideal for exploring the area.
Helpful and friendly staff.
Right next to the river Avon and towpath, great pub 5 mins walk away, which is also next to a park and ride, easy for commuting into Bath.
Half an hour away from Longleat Safari park, amazing!

Flat site with hardstanding. Walking distance of approx 40 mins from Bath centre, not much else to make you want to come back, especially at the price of £32+ for the night.
The grounds looked generally untidy with uncut grass and little in the way of planting. No meaningful site security.
Overgrown hedgerows and wire mesh fencing in poor condition.
Of the 2 wash blocks one was a portacabin type setup and ok, the other was very tired, looked poorly maintained with missing hooks in cubicles, accessed by a fiddly keypad. The men's side had a wet cold floor and one wall hung fan heater which didn't work.
The shower I used was held up with gaffer tape. A more cold depressing building would be hard to find.
Ok for proximity to Bath that's about it.

Returned here for 3 nights to visit Bath. As motorhome owners visiting in winter this site is great with proper hard standing, 16 amp electricity and easy access and a park & ride less than 10 mins walk away. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff and booking in was straightforward.
Since we last visited the site has changed hands and is now owned by a company called Aquavista. Nice new sign as you enter the site and we think they have installed some new service pitches as we don't remember them being there last time.
Two facilities blocks, one dated (70's décor) and is in need of an urgent refurbishment, it was very dreary but was kept clean and warm. The second was a portacabin which is better but not very big it is what I would call an "upmarket" portacabin not the type you get at music festivals. However as we mostly use the facilities in our motorhome this does not really bother us. Hopefully the new owners will refurbish the facilities at some point for those of you who use them regularly.
Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short because of the imminent arrival of storms Dudley and Eunice. But we plan to return in the Summer.

Very convenient fo visiting Bath. Flat walk, with public transport options.
We had a “small riverside pitch”, which did have a view of the river through the wire fence. But was also directly opposite the marina car park, which appeared to be in constant use.
As others have said there is nothing to restrict access to the site. If we had children with us I would have been very concerned.
The facilities in the portacabin were warm, but really need updating. I make these comments as I believe in you get what you pay for and this site is not a cheap option, therefore the facilities should have been a better standard.
Washing up is in a wooden shelter, which once again is OK, but not for this money.
I doubt we’ll visit again, although I would mention it to anyone looking for a site to visit Bath as long as they know the limitations.
