We stayed here for two nights and were very pleased with the site. It was a last minute choice for us. A lot of reviews for this site say it is expensive but I promise you it isn't when compared to other sites in the area! Anyway our pitch was large and flat, the facilities block was clean and modern. It was 2.5 miles into Bath city centre; we took bicycles and it was an easy, pleasant cycle along the canal. We will definitely be back.

Visited this site for the first time, used the budget pitch, enough room for my motorhome which is 22ft long, although these pitches are under trees so expect the usual bird mess and squirrels. For the price you would expect a little more care on site my pitch was full of branches and twigs, asked at reception for a broom to sweep pitch The toilet blocks could do with an upgrade, only 2 blocks on site each with only 2 showers in each, take flip flops into showers as they have no shower mats and are very slippery The walk into bath along the canal takes about 45 mins, it's a nice walk but there was a lot of litter and debris along the way, there are 2 pubs en route, the dolphin is ok for a pint, but if you want good pub grub you have the boat house which is in the opposite direction, turn right at canal entrance The site is close to main road but didn't find this a problem, good dog walk close by, a good site for visiting bath, but again for the price it could be much better.

We have just come back from spending 3 nights at this site and as previous reviews have said ,this is a nice site and a great location for visiting Bath. We also stopped at the Dolphin pub after walking to Bath along the tow path. It is a nice walk, we did it one afternoon, the only down side was the drunk tramp people, sitting on the benches as you walked along.
The only down sides to the site is because it is situated near a very busy road, it is noisy at night with speeding traffic and police cars. It is expensive ,even off season £19.75 a night. But in saying that if we was to go to Bath again we would use this site again.

Great site,a ll hardstanding, clean and very tidy. Toilet and showers were kept very clean and warm. Plenty of water and grey water disposal sites dotted about. Ideal site for visiting Bath as there's a bus park and ride service across the road. Only down side is its quite expensive £18.75 for two adults with electric hook up but I`d definitely use it again

This site is open all year round so it made a great out of season stay for us. The site itself is completely hard standing so ideal for winter touring. Even though the facilities are not to the standards of the big clubs, they are clean and warm. There are two pubs within walking distance and we tried both. The Dolphin was our favourite. The site also sits alongside the Bath to Bristol cycle path, a 13 mile dedicated path to cyclists and walkers connecting the two cities. We thought this was awesome. OK there is some background noise from this site but this is what you expect from any site in residential areas. Perhaps one downside for me was the price, £19 per night off season but there again you are paying for the location. We must have liked it here as we have already booked to return.

Booked late for August Bank Holiday, then read the reviews - so a bit concerned about noise and toilet facilities. Arrived when dark but found our info waiting in an envelope at reception. Shame when they did not stipulate informal pitching was allowed as the bushes prevented uniformity and caused us a few nettle rashes in the dark (Pitch 26). Still it gave us something to laugh about the next day being novices.
Toilets blocks were warm and clean, showers a little slow. Water, waste and refuse points close at hand. If you want to use a TV take an Ariel with you to connect to the antenna.
Walked along the tow path to Bath and had a pint at the Dolphin on the way back. I wouldn’t fancy the walk at night– not even with a torch, however access is available by road. If you walk the other way along the tow path you pass the Marina, but can only view from the bridge before arriving at The Boat House. We spent 4 nights here and left a little after the time we should have without complaint. Will definitely go back.

We loved this site. This was our first ever time away in our new motor home and we could not have picked a better site. Lovely welcome, nice park for the kids. We walked in to Bath from site along canal - lovely stroll. The toilets and showers we used were spotless and lovely and warm. Pitches good size, plenty of privacy on our pitch. The only down side was the cost, add the kids, fiamma awning and late check out and we spent £35. Have to say we have failed to find a site we liked this much since though - so maybe you get what you pay for.

Great all round site although gents toilets and showers could do with a bit of a revamp a bit dated but I must say clean stayed on this site because of its close proximity to the Bath to Bristol cycle path. Cycled into Bath first from the campsite about 2 miles as my wife and I found this most enjoyable and easy we decided to double back and cycle all the way to the centre of Bristol as the harbour fez was on with all the tall ships and lots going on. A round trip of about 38 miles which we coped with easily even though we are both in our 50's and new to this cycling lark. Nice pub called The Bird in Hand on the way for refreshment and in our case on the way back, with excellent food all said and done a great site for visiting Bath and for novice cyclists like us. Would definitely go back again.

We have visited this site several times over the last couple of years, mainly because we like the close proximity to the city centre [40 minute walk] and the Bath > Bristol cycle path which runs along side the Marina. There is a park and ride bus service few hundred yards from the site for those that don't fancy the walk into town.
Sadly the site facilities have slowy become delapitated over the last few years. There seems to be limited maintenance carried out in the gents facilities. One of the toilet blocks is in a terrible state of repair. The other block is only just adequate. Although the controller says that the ladies facilities are acceptable
I wonder why they allow the site to fall into this state, they have lots of visitors and the fee is not cheap, we paid £21 per night .Wish they would reinvest some of the money.
Still we will continue to visit this lovely city.Fantastic place for shopping and watching buskers.

A good site to visit bath, but the 45 min walk along the river to bath takes 65 mins not very pleasant - people along there were down and outs drinking cider. The park and ride does not run on Sundays but the ordinary buses run every half hour. We did not eat at the boathouse as food finishes at 8 on Sundays, however we went to the Dolphin. It didn't look much of a place however we were the only people eating there good service and the meal was around £65.O0 for 4 of us and was better than the meal we had in bath for £140.00 the night before. Will go there again, toilets and showers were spotless, the only complaint was trying to undo the showers in the dark.
