Location, Location, Location. This is what this site is all about. It is 2 miles from the centre of Bath and the city can be reached by bike, on foot or by bus from the park & ride which is five minutes walk away. The site itself is okay, with level tarmac pitches of varying sizes and a large field for exercising dogs and children.
The facilities are not of the highest standard; they are clean but have a temporary air and could benefit from some TLC.

Spent four nights on site. Was a bit worried choosing it as some of the reviews were not good. In general we enjoyed our stay. We were going to see the sites of Bat and the area so it was perfect for this. Easy site to find and access. Some of the pitches tight so evidence of damaged grass as people manoeuvred on their pitch. But the grass was cut, trees not overgrown. The toilet and shower blocks were generally good. They were cleaned each day. Only problems caused by a small minority who left a mess. One day hot water went off in one of the toilet blocks. But not a problem as the other block was fine.
Yes you are between two main roads and near the railway line - but we did not find it too noisy. Brilliant for cyclists.
This is not an immaculate, award winning site but is perfectly adequate. Yes we would stay there again.

To find site:- Leave M4 at junction 18 and follow A46 towards Bath. Leave A46 and take A4 through Bath following “Through Routes” The site is almost opposite Newlands Park and Ride and left turn to the site is signed from the main road.
Bath Marina campsite is situated on the western edge of Bath on the River Avon in a semi urban environment and ideally suited for visiting the delights of Bath. We found the site to be far enough away from the main road not to be overly disturbed by traffic noise. The site is open all year which is useful if you want to attend events in Bath including its Christmas Market. The area of the campsite is level with mature trees. According to the site plan there are 88 pitches. They are all on hardstanding, mainly solid concrete. When booking it is essential that you mention how long your outfit is and whether you want to erect an awning as different pitches cover these eventualities. Some pitches are quite small and only suitable for VW camper van sized vehicles. Pitches are grouped together in small cul-de-sacs off the main site road. It should be noted that the site does not accept tents. Electrical connections are convenient to main pitches and are rated at 16 amps and use CEE17 blue connectors. The bollards also have TV connections which are free to use but you have to provide your own cable. There are two toilet blocks on the site. They are functional rather than luxurious, lighting at night is by timer switch. Both have covered, but not enclosed, washing up areas although the second block only has one sink. Chemical disposal points are located at both blocks and next to the block nearest the exit is a motorhome service point with a drive over grilled drain. Fresh water and grey water disposal points are dotted along the main site road, they would benefit from some lighting. Reception has a fairly good shop selling essentials and also contains local information. There is also free WiFi at reception during office hours. There is also site wide WiFi available but this is chargeable and time can be purchased online, albeit fairly expensive. I had no trouble use my phone network for using the internet. There are a handful of permanent units on site a few of which are quite scruffy. For children there is a play field across from the site but within easy reach. Payment by credit card is subject to a small surcharge. Bicycle hire is available on site under the Nextbike scheme.
This site could not be more convenient for visiting Bath especially if you did not want rely on your own transport. The Newbridge Park and Ride is within a 5/10 walk from the site either along the river or the main road. Bus passes are accepted and apparently dogs are also welcome. The regular bus service to Bristol stops on the main road not far from the site entrance. There is a lot to see in Bath including the Roman Baths and the wonderful Georgian Architecture For eating out there are, of course, many restaurants in Bath to suit all tastes. Nearer to the site is the Boathouse situated on the River Avon. For food shopping there are several Tesco Express type stores in the centre of Bath. For a larger supermarket we noticed a Waitrose about four miles from the site towards Bristol.

We used this site to visit the Bath Christmas market and to visit the outlet village at Street. Unfortunately they did not phone back in response to my message so I used on line booking. Site is very easy to find the approach road to reception isn't too uneven but has some speed bumps. Reception was very friendly with welcome pack and a few site explanations. I had booked a small caravan pitch with awning, the allocated pitch(47) had a small tree preventing any use of an awning. I asked if they had any other suitable pitches and was offered 51 or 45. I chose 45. The hard standings are concrete so if you are using an awning you need to position the van on the edge of the awning to ensure you can peg out. My van is 6. 46 meters shipping length the concrete hard standing is approx 6 meters so I overhung at the back of the van and used my wooden blocks on grass for the rear steadies. The pitch didn't drain and the concrete retained pools of water. The facilities are dated but clean and the water for the showers was hot. We used the park and ride to go to the Bath Christmas market. My wife is a wheelchair user, able bodied persons can use the short cut by reception to the park and ride, although there are no steps, this path is not suitable for wheelchairs or electric scooters. The reception very kindly lent me a TV cable which when we used it gave good TV reception. My overall impressions are that the site is in need of a refurb but there was nothing that would prevent me from using again.

Arrived on site saturday 7th and booked in at reception the lady was very helpful and as we were half an hour early and our pitch was free let us park up. Site was busy lots of caravans and motorhomes. There are toilets by reception and additional two toilet and shower blocks which you need a code to enter. The toilets and showers are very dated could do with a freshen up. Showers warm but you have to keep pressing the tap. Walk to the boathouse pub restaurant took four minutes stroll along the river (dog's welcome) with the park and ride next to it which took 10 minutes into bath. In bath town centre lots of shops. The thermal spa was expensive at £35 pound each so we gave that a miss but the roman baths and pump room was fantastic and great value for money well worth a visit. Jump back on the bus back to site there is a fenced kids play area and separate area for dogs. Well worth a weekend break.

We had planned on making our way to Bristol marina c/van site but because of diversions due to the half marathon we looked at this site but doubted whether to come or not after reading the reviews. We arrived to a friendly and extremely helpful welcome by the gentleman in the office.
We did have problem with tv signal but after moving to the pitch in front of us we had 88 tv channels.
The pitches are open and spacious and the whole grounds were tidy & well kept.
We had a 5 minite walk to the nearest restraint, then we walked a further 20 mins to the Dolphin pub and had the nicest carvery weve had in a long time. Highly recommended.
The park & ride is also ideal for a day out to visit Bath.
We couldn't fault the site or area.

This is a great site with good facilities, cleaned regularly but maybe needs a little TLC.
There is a great park opposite - council owned I think - where you can let your dog off the lead as it is secure, and the children's part is separate to the field. And it does not affect any noise on the the park, as it is pretty quiet and we went in the main Aug week.
There is a pathway along the river into Bath about a couple of miles if you fancy a good walk, and the other way the lovely Boat House pub serving good food and a good choice of fine ales.
There is wifi by the reception area but a bit hit n miss.
In general a good site which I would visit again if I were visiting bath as there is a park n ride right across the road to avoid parking in Bath itself.

This is a little gem, great for visiting Bath as you can walk along the towpath which will take you about 40 mins, you can cycle along the cycle path which is just beside the entrance or if feeling a little lazy you can bus it either use the park and ride or the regular bus service. If you have children there are some lovely parks with 1 just the other side of the entrance to the caravan site. Some lovely pubs are within walking distance The Boathouse is the nearer of the 2 but The Dolphin with real ales and truly delicious food is well worth the walk this also has a play area with a small bouncy castle for the kids so everyone is happy! Although the wash facilities are a little dated, the water is hot and it is kept very clean.

My husband, myself & our little dog stayed here for 2 nights in our motorhome. Not a bad location - by the canal. We cycled into Bath on the towpath. The showers were freezing as the boiler had broken & no warning of it or signs saying. The electricity also went off at the site which wasn't good & nothing was said so we thought our new motorhome was faulty! There was a herb garden free for helping yourselves which was nice. We stated the pitch size required when booking of 8m, but had a 6m pitch, & our motorhome is just over 7m, so we were hanging off the concrete onto the grass. The reception had a very small shop but ok for bread & milk. You could join the canal right by reception to visit the canal pub. There was a park opposite to walk doggies. Not a bad little site for a short stop-over but not a long stay. I complained Ed to the lady on reception which offered me discount, so fair enough.

This site is a brilliant location to visit Bath. Short walk to the park and ride and the Boathouse pub served very good food and cocktails.
The site is quiet and well spaced out with concrete hardstandings. Because there are a number of trees, depending on the location TV signal can be a problem.
The staff are very helpful, friendly and informative.
The facilities will not win any awards, but they are clean, spacious and plenty of hot water for the showers.
We have booked again so says it all really.
