Basic site facilities but all relatively clean and presented well. Arrival was welcoming and all information needed for our stay was given. BUT felt cramped in with tents almost on top of each other and very little space between them. We also found the site to be very noisy this wasn't helped by the owners cutting the grass around tents and caravans at 7. 30 - 8pm. We are a family of two younger children who had difficulty sleeping due to the noise. We wouldn't recommend this site and will not be returning to it.

What a lovely friendly little site. We have just returned from a friday till monday stay and will book again in the future. The site is clean and well maintained.

The toilet and shower blocks are cleaned every day and are very spacious. There is a family shower room that is very spacious (has a shower, toilet, sink and chair) but to be fair the shower cubicles are big anyway so you don't really need to use it. The water was hot every time I used the showers.

It is in the best position in my opinion as it is far enough away from the amusements/rides for the kids not to want to go on them every second but close enough to walk to or take the mini lollypop train. In close walking distance is a lovely large sandpit, boating lake and paddling pool, kfc, mcdonalds, cinema, bowling and a little zoo. The smallest pub in the world is one to visit too just outside the site.

I would not recommend the hungry horse pub for food as it was horrible and dry and took some eating! service wasn't very good either. Stood at the bar AGES waiting to order a pudding but we gave up in the end so didn't even bother to complain about the mains. BUT there is a nice little play area, bouncy castle, face painting inside and sells balloons so its nice for a drink

The beach is next to the site so if you are lucky to get the weather we did it is a hop skip and a jump away. The only thing that could be a problem for some people is that it is next to the showgroud that has events on throughout the year. Whilst we were there it was a moped charity event with live bands playing till about 1am. Our two small children were not bothered by this (we quite enjoyed the music too!) and slept regardless but others may not have been quite so pleased. I would suggest checking out the events before booking.

Read the reviews on this site and was really looking forward to visiting it, but was disappointed. On arrival I expected the warm welcome everyone seems to talk about, got to the barrier and had to phone a number to gain the access code, was then told to go to pitch 17 (no indication given as where this was on the site), found it only to be greeted with a very tepid (at best) reception and told I could only pay in cash (luckily I did have enough money on me) then just told where my pitch was (no pointing out the showers, water points etc. ).

The site is surrounded by a secure fence as stated but is not masked by trees & bushes as stated (the odd one dotted about), so felt like it was in an industrial estate (not helped by the large number of transit vans on site). The toilet blocks although kept clean are like council run public conveniences (stainless steel and vandal proof), my daughter refused to use the toilets because of this, plus the toilet cubicles were very dark in the daytime as the lighting was turned off.

On the plus side the showers were always warm and the cubicles quite large and clean. There is no play area for children so unless you are part of a large family (of which there were numerous large families on the site) your children may find it hard to make new friends. The site is close (walking distance) to safe cycle lanes, Pleasure Island, the miniature railway, beach etc. There are no laundry facilities on site & I could not find any in Cleethorpes, luckily the weather was good so drying things off was not a problem. The show ground next door can get noisy if there is an event on, so check what is on before you book here as if the event/music is not to your liking it can be quite irritating. Also the site lets same sex groups stay, there was group of 4 lads staying when we went who decided to have a large argument from 3. 30am until 5. 30am which woke up most if not all of the site, then a few day later a family had a large scale fight in the middle of the night. I know the owners cannot always control who comes on the site, but I have never seen so many unruly & out of control children/families on any other campsite & have been camping for over 20 years. We won’t going back in a hurry, it could be so much better but needs to keep its promises about noise at night being dealt with etc.

We stayed here for two nights and wish we had booked for longer! On arrival we were looked after really well, even down to help when we needed somewhere to blow up our airbeds as we hadn't been able to book an electric pitch. The toilet and shower facilities were really clean and well looked after, which is really important for me, and the water was adequately warm for both showers and washing up. It is perfectly located for Pleasure Island and there are so many things to do along a lovely walk into Cleethorpes itself and plenty of places to eat that cater for every taste (we can highly recommend the all you can eat Chinese just a couple of minutes walk away). The beach is great and there are lots of pathways for cyclists so if you are into cycling this place is great for you too. All in all a great break away and we are definitely returning before the year is out!

We spent six nights here at the end of July in our caravan.

We use UKCampsite.co.uk as a good guide for places we go and regrettably I have to endorse the last but one review on this site.

Upon arrival we did not experience the warm welcome that some have described here. Our initial dealings were cold and clinical. Don't get me wrong though, we were not treated rudely, just not warmly.

The site only accepts cash or cheque and the young lady at reception was a little irritated that we had expected to pay by card. Having already paid a sizeable deposit some months ago, she accepted our request that we be allowed to set up and then we would walk into town and find a cash point.

We were directed to our pitch and I was aware of a large amount of white tradesman vans on the which site caused me a little concern.

The site is small and has very basic facilities; one waste water point, one fresh water point, a rubbish area and male, female and disabled toilets. Both male and female toilet areas have two showers rooms.

The showers were warm and clean, but clearly with the amount of pitches there was insufficient facilities.

The toilets were regularly cleaned, and they needed to be as some of he conduct of the parks guests was not only poor, on occasions it was completely unacceptable (I'll say no more).

The site is in a superb location for the many good things that Cleethorpes has to offer. I would strongly recommend a visit to Pleasure Island, the boating lake and the Oriental Express Restaurant (an all you can eat Chinese for as little as 4. 95 depending on time of the week) all within five minutes walk from the site.

At twenty five pounds a night the site is not cheap given its lack of facilities. My feelings are that it would be much improved if there was a shop on site, if the EHU was more effective (it regularly tripped if certain electrical items were used) and by far the biggest improvement that could be made would be reasonable standards imposed on the guests.

Personally, I do not like to see men with their tops off displaying their tattoos and drinking beer as early as ten in the morning. That being said, it could be argued if they are not hurting anyone there is no issue.

What is an issue is the conduct of the individuals in other ways ie their hygiene and their parenting of the children. Regretfully on our penultimate day we returned from a daytrip to find that a child had used felt tip pen on our caravan. There had been an attempt to clean the offending marks but nobody owned up when we asked about the matter.

We took a decision to leave the following day and make sure we did not return.

All in all quite sad, Cleethorpes is a town we will look forward to visiting again but I think we will look at UKCampsite.co.uk for an alternative site to stay.

This is a small site and could be very nice but unfortunately it was spoiled for us by a group of families who between them had a big gang of unruly children who due to the lack of a play area used the whole site as a playground and cycle track until after dark. The parents sat drinking and watched them chasing round the caravans and tents distributing litter as they went.

The facilities were basic and inadequate for the number of people on the site, the ladies toilets would only flush on odd occasions for the two days we were there which was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic.

This is a site which we will not be visiting again

On arrival we were directed to the warden who was very friendly and took us to our spot. The site itself isn't very large, it is kept very tidy, the shower and toilet blocks were very clean at all times, the site itself is outside of cleethorpes but easily reachable on foot passing the boating area and playground. Not too far away is a McDonald's, KFC and a cinema, there is a pub at the end of the road but it is very tiny if its raining I wouldn't recommend going there for a drink as you will have to sit outside as the maximum number of people it can fit in is four. The site would do well with a shop on site. Overall a very nice well run campsite.

We arrived late Friday afternoon and the reception was closed but we were directed to the wardens accommodation. They were very friendly and welcoming.

The site was full to capacity but very clean.

The ablutions were basic but again very clean. The hand washing water was quite cool so as a previous review had mentioned not overly warm showers I didn't use them. I never heard anyone complain of a cold shower and they were nice big rooms.

All in all a no frills site with a very welcoming relaxed feel to it.

The wardens were concerned we may be disturbed by a family group and gave us their mobile number with strict instructions to call if they were rowdy. We actually had no problems but it was re-assuring to have the number.

No shop on site but a short drive into town.

Access to seafront walk into town.

Visited this site for the May Day weekend.

This is a very tidy small grassed site. The camp wardens are very friendly and helpful. The toilet and shower block are very clean and are being inspected constantly.

The site is located close to a cinema, KFC and the planets smallest pub.

It is close to the boating lake, miniature railway and leisure centre.

We did not use the car once as it is a very nice walk into the town. A taxi back is around £5.

Great little site and will use again.

We have just returned home after a 3 night stay at this little gem of a camp site. Clean facilities and well maintained site. Gates are shut at night, and the warden is available on site or via mob phone. Only downside is the water could be hotter in the showers, although it was not cold. Quiet site with rules that are acceptable eg no noise after 11pm, dogs to be kept on leads etc

Perfect location for cyclist's, golfing, hiking. The sandy beach is a 5 min walk from the campsite and a bus stop nearby. Visit the smallest pub in England with prices that are the lowest we have found anywhere else, situated 2mins walk just outside the campsite.

Hope to visit again later this year
