Been to this site loads of times started going June 2009, the site is clean and tidy Harry and Chris are really great and always on hand, close to local pubs, takeaways and the town centre.
Have recommended this site to lots of our friends, we tend to return 3 to 4 times a year.
Booked again for June next year, so popular could not get a pitch for any of the bank holidays next spring, own fault! should have called earlier

I went to the site on my own to escape, in the end for a period of three weeks.
I found that the toilets were clean, the site was well kept and the location was great. It was away from the main area of Cleethorpes so was quieter and felt more secure.
The amenities on the campsite are basic but it is close to the beach, takeaways, restaurants, pubs and 10 minutes away from a leisure centre.
The people who run the site are extremely pleasant and helpful and are strict about noise levels late at night. The people on the site were also v friendly, so much so that I returned with my friends before the site closed.
I will definitely return to the site and plan to return when it opens this year

Although the site is a mile or so from the main town the walk into town is pleasant. That said there are eating drinking and entertainment facilities very close by, so there isn't necessarily a need to go into town.
The camp itself is basic but has all the essentials - hook-ups,hot water, shower blocks and pot washing facilities all of which are kept clean.
My only criticism would be that around 10/11pm every night the local boy-racers converge on a nearby car park which I found to be a bit of a nuisance.
A good no-frills campsite.

I had to comment because someone posted about OLD caravans. What difference does it make?
We visited the Showground caravan park. It was basic. I wouldn't leave my camping stuff out, but that was my personal choice.
As to the age of caravans, does it really matter? You pay for what you get. I will definitely come back here when it's not the school hols. It was ok. The people who own it are lovely.
The surroundings are ok. Probably will be better if you don't go in the school holidays.
The location is perfect. We saw the Alamo show and the Cleethorpes Carnival.
The only thing I would warn about is that the women who block the toilet door way, whilst crimping their hair, thinking you should apologise to them for being in the way. May be the mirrors should be moved from the main entrance?

We just came back from staying three nights on this site we stayed in a tent for the first time when we got there the owners were really helpful and showed us to our pitch they also lent us a hammer and offered us spare tent pegs if we needed them. We called on them a few times and they were very helpful.
The toilet block was clean and the showers were very spacious there was also a family shower separate which came in very handy after a day at the beach with the kids. They have also sorted out the problem of the side road as they now have road blocks at night and we didn't hear any noise at all. The campsite itself was well run and we felt very safe at night.
There is a lovely cafe just outside the gates where you can get a good breakfast and there are also shops nearby and a tesco about 10mins away by car. The owners also have all kinds of discount vouchers for al the local attractions which actually saved us a fortune. We will definitely be back next year we enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Just returned from 3 nights here and it was a lovely little campsite with everything needed at hand. The owners were lovely and very helpful, we unfortunately arrived on a day where the weather men said we received as much rain in that day than was expected for the month but the owners helped us out by giving us brushes to get started. The sites location is brilliant a short walk form shops, pub and restaurants all you can eat Chinese/Indian highly recommended right out of the front gates and its about 200m up on your right. Thought the shower block and washing facilities were very clean and the price for the stay was very reasonable. Overall I would recommend this site to anyone if you get the right weather it would be very enjoyable.

Just come back from showground been there for the weekend had a brilliant time didn't want to leave and loved the site, shower blocks were great really spacious and clean all the time. We had lots of room around us and it's brilliant for families and couples as there is a really nice pub at the bottom of the site and lots of friendly campers.
There was a bit of noise on Sunday due to an event in park next to us for the younger end, but no trouble at all and was over by 10 o'clock. Lovely couple who own the site really friendly and very helpful. Dogs are very much welcome on or off leads and our dog made lots of friends.
I will definitely be recommending this site to friends and family and I will be returning in September for another weekend with the rest of the family this time

Fantastic location in the promenade area of Cleethorpes, next to beach. Fair price for nights stay, however site did appear to be crowded with tents and old caravans and cars everywhere. Noise and drinking going onto early hours of morning, also football being played amongst caravans, without dedicated area for them. But to be fair adjacent caravan sites were charging nearly 3 times as much per night you pay your money and take your choice

Disappointed with the site, paid £20per night but feel that would have only been worth £10 per night, where we had our caravan it was squashed into an edge near the old toilets. Didnt think the toilets on site were up to much, grass / ground was a mess. 4 cars at one point at the next unit/ caravan being quite a few adults and children in the unit paying the same price as we were for 2 ad & 1 ch. An ice cream van comes on site each time, warden said his speed was too fast on site and was going to tell him, some of the campers on site also needed telling but he said couldn't do anything about them.

We stayed here for the second time pitch 23. A lovely little place to stay, 33 caravan pitches with tents in the middle area. The site owners are always on hand to help in any area they can. The site is very clean at all times. £20.00 a night very good. The only fault is noisy young car drivers at night revving their engines on the slip road near to the site. Could benefit with a shop on site, I'll run it [lol] Tesco is only 1.6 miles down the road, and a nice chippy close. If you have not been give it a try sometime.
