This little site is lovely. The wardens are welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Facilities (stainless steel sinks and toilets)are clean and well maintained, with a warden present most of the time (living on site in a static caravan. )
Pitches around the edge of the site are numbered so organised, but there's a relaxed feel about the place.
There's no children's play park which makes it a bit more peaceful for adults too. (Great if you've not got children and there are plenty of activities nearby if you have!)
The site's location is great. Slightly beyond Cleethorpes itself but close enough for a lovely walk along the promenade, past a boating lake, to get back to the town. The beach is close too, although the Humber's tidal activities means the water isn't always as near!
There are loads of places to eat around this area, and it's worth calling into The Signal Box Inn ('the smallest pub in the world - probably') which is 2 minutes walk from gates of the site. The welcoming landlord will keep you entertained there for hours!
We stayed with our touring caravan from Thursday to Sunday. Additional family joined us on Friday so we were a group of 5 caravans in total. We all gathered in one awning and there was a lot of laughter, but we tried to keep the noise levels down, and we headed back to our own vans just around 11 on both Friday and Saturday.
Sadly, another group weren't as considerate on Saturday night. They were drinking, swearing, and shouting until well after 2am - which spoiled it for a lot of people, many of whom were complaining on the Sunday morning. It's such a shame a small group of people (from just one tent and one caravan) can be so inconsiderate and spoil the peace, quite and enjoyment for a whole site.
The Race For Life was staged on Sunday right next to the site so access was closed off which meant you had to leave either before 10:30 or after 1:30. The organiser's PA system came into life and was tested at 8:40 at full volume - which seemed a bit inconsiderate at the time, but it was for a good cause (not like the previous night's behaviour).
Having been kept awake so late the night before, we were relaxed about leaving a bit later so wandered along the promenade and enjoyed coffees and sandwiches from the cafe by the Boating Lake.
The site's lovely - it's just a shame the weather wasn't quite so kind!

We came here for our first trip as new parents with our 6 week old baby. The campsite isn't all that big but is very well looked after.
It's all grass but reasonably level with electric hook-up available. Don't let the grass put you off, because even though it's rained most of this year, it's all still firm with no mud.
The toilet blocks are all stainless steel fixtures, even the walls in the toilet cubicles and it's all ultra clean. No qualms about cleanliness at all.
The site managers were very helpful and stored our pushchair and car seat for the baby so we'd have some extra room in our camper. They told us where to visit whilst in Cleethorpes and where to find cheap all day parking.
The site is located spot on for just about everything. Pleasure Island is close by, so is the light-railway the country park and the leisure centre and beaches.
Well located for pubs and amusements too (bowling alley, cinema, etc). We thoroughly enjoyed our night here and Cleethorpes is definitely worth a visit, the other camper here were all friendly and chatty too.
In summary a great, friendly little site.

I turned up on spec at this site whilst visiting Cleethorpes to watch the Olympic Torch Relay. The site warden was very helpful and booked me in for one night quickly and efficiently for a very reasonable price.
The facilities are good although the field was just a little muddy after all the rain we have had this summer. I could not believe how well situated this site is however, and what great amenities Cleethorpes has to offer.
This includes a wonderful pathway alongside a cracking beach along the Humber Estuary right at the rear of the site itself where there is also a great little cafe.
As a bonus there are some lovely wildflowers in the sand dunes at this time of year which are well worth discovering. I would have no hesitation returning to this site.

We have just had a lovely 5 day break at this campsite, Within about 20 mins walk to the town itself, and 5 mins to pleasure island theme park, It is Next to the Meridian park where they often hold events, we were there for the race for life, The site is flat and safe for children, it has a steel fence perimiter,
The showers and the toilet block were clean, and the showers are in with the price. There is a washing up area for dishes, with bowls and plenty of hot water. The wardens were very helpful and friendly. There is a fridge freezer in the office where you can freeze your ice packs, we didn't use it as the office was not open all the time, it wasn't a problem for us,
The campsite is next to the mini steam railway which is said to have the smallest pub in the world, We didn't get the time to go in but we will do our best on our return,
There is a Macdonalds, KFC and retail shops about 500 yards away, also a cinema, ideal for the rainy day,
We also had a lovely carvery at the Trawlerman pub under £4 each,

We have just spent a very enjoyable half term/bank holiday at this site. It was busy but the site was quiet at night. The wardens are extremely helpful, offering free use of a fridge, freezer if required. The toilets and showers were clean and hot water was plentiful. There were only two washing up sinks but that didn't cause any problems. It is a good base in which to explore the surrounding areas, we visited Ingoldmells, Mablethorpe, Skegness, Lincoln etc. The site is five minutes drive from Cleethorpes centre, where there are the usual seaside amusements and plenty of cheap and cheerful cafes, snackbars. It wasn't as dear as Blackpool and offered good value. The weather wasn't good but it didn't spoil our holiday and our Vango certainly was tested and passed with flying colours. The landlord of the signal box pub is a mine of useful information and a friendly chap to chat to. Will be back.

Just back from this site and we really enjoyed our stay. What a clean place it is, the showers and toilet block is spotless, although with only one block I am not sure what it will be like during busier times.
It is in a lovely spot, close to Pleasure Island, boating lake, steam railway etc.
The only downside to our visit was some young car drivers using the road at the back late at night, not a real bad problem.
The staff/ owners were great and were very friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back.

Excellent site, level and well maintained very clean toilets and showers I had a problem with my electrics and the owner could not do enough to help me he soon had me powered up by loaning me a spare electrics lead. The site is very close to pleasure island, so the kids were happy and we were free to have a round of golf at thorpe park nearby. The site charges were very reasonable at £16 a night inclusive of electric and that was for a bank holiday weekend. The site is also near to a cinema, bowling alley, several pubs and shops. Cant wait to go back

We only stayed here one night (intentionally!) so we were there less than 24 hours so can only do a limited review based on what we found, but I like to leave a review of all the sites we go to, so here goes.
For £16 including hook up per night I think it's a decent little site. The EHU pitches are round the perimeter fencing, leaving the middle area for non EHU pitches.
Our pitch was plenty big enough for our tent (7. 5 x 5m), trailer and car, there was ample room left over if we'd wanted to sit outside (we didn't, it was cold and windy!). It could have been flatter, but it wasn't too bad, more bumpy than sloped.
There is a newish looking building which houses the showers/loos/reception office etc. There are 2 showers in the ladies, plus a disabled room and a family room - the shower rooms are huge, more like a walk in wet room! Everything was clean, no complaints there at all.
There is a fridge/freezer which is free to use which is a nice touch.
The owners were very friendly, but unintrusive too - a good balance.
There's no play area, shop, bar etc, if you want an all singing & dancing site then you need to book the Haven site up the road and pay a lot more per night!
If you want peace and quiet then this site is ideal - its a stone's throw from the beach and there is plenty to do within walking distance - Pleasure Island, the beach, the boating lake and numerous places to eat and drink etc etc to mention just a few.

I have been to this campsite twice, both different years and months (so dates stated are incorrect) and would certainly go there again. Although the first time me and my friend were only 17, they accepted us with our parents permission.
The prices are amazing for the facilities! There are plugs in the bathroom so you can charge phones while drying your hair, the showers are always clean and perfect temperatures. The bathrooms are always clean and there is never a shortage of toilet roll. The only negative is the amount of moths and daddy long legs in there!
The site is in a perfect location, a VERY short walk to the beach as its only over a little hill, which has a cute cafe serving lush breakfasts! It is a short walk from the theme park, little zoo, cinema, water park, and fast food locations. The bus stop is just across the road and prices are so cheap. The train station is less than a 5 minute walk from a bus stop, and the bus stops right outside the campsite. Perfect for transporting all the luggage!
The site also has facilities to wash up, along with chemical disposal and electrical hookups for some pitches.
The site is so family friendly, and accepts pets which is always good! Luckily, the dog beach is only over the grass bank, and stretches for miles!
I will definitely be returning!
