Visited this site for a weekend and would say it is adequate, but very low down when judging this against other sites we have been too over the years.
It was only a few pounds less than we would normally pay per night, but it was really worth less.
Although it seemed cramped in some pitches, we were lucky we were near the entrance and had plenty of room.
The toilet facilities could have been cleaned a little more and people didn't seem to acknowledge the courtesy of cleaning the showers after use. However, the showers were nice and warm with good power.
It's location is good and a nice walk into Cleethorpes.
I'm not sure if we would go back, but there don't appear to be many sites available in Cleethorpes.

Stayed here for a long weekend, site basic but is in a fantastic location and the owners are the nicest couple you could meet. The facilities are good for a small site, two showers, a few sinks and toilets in the gents (same in the ladies). Owners work hard to keep the site clean and are onsite in the office or their own caravan if you need help. The site is between the boating lake and Meridian Park (shows and concerts). It is near a miniature steam railway station (with the smallest pub) and a theme park (prices not too bad), cinema, ten pin bowling, gym and children's fun house across the road. The sea is a very short walk away (past an icecream hut) but its a salt marsh and not really a beach, a proper beach is about a mile walk in either direction. Loads of places to eat and all within easy walking distance, there's a KFC, McDonalds, Chinese. We had a meal at The Trawlerman Pub (carvery) which is across the road from the theme park entrance, and I would recommend McCormacks Pub (theme park entrance) that is very good for families and has some charming entertainment (Butlins Style). What you get is a small, charming campsite that has the facilities of a big expensive site around it, wonderful.

We were delighted with our choice of campsite for a 5 day break. The Showground is a well maintained and clean site. The couple who run it are excellent hosts and seem to go the extra mile for anyone who needs them. The site is ideally located for access to all areas of Cleethorpes, whether you want the life of the town or the quiet beauty of the natural nature reserves, everything is in walking distance. The tariff is fair for what you get. Only a couple of things could be improved, one being a freezer for ice pack replacement and perhaps some laundry facility. Other than that it's clean and safe and welcoming.

Site had good facilities and was very friendly, but also very cramped. Site was close to beach, within walking distance into Cleethorpes. There was plenty to do in the area. The site was a bit noisy until 11.30pm, which was a shame! Toilets and shower's were very clean, washing up area was very good, and was covered. Plenty of rubbish bins around the site, Easy access to water all around the site.

Wow is all I can say. We booked this site as it was my fiance's birthday and we just wanted to get away for 3 day's. The owner's are extremely friendly and helpful (offered to let us borrow a hook up lead, I politely declined but asked to borrow tool's to adapt mine, lol)
The facilities are out of this world, now although I'm a camper I hate showering on site's but this one was different, the shower's are better than ours at home, very warm and clean. I would definitely recommend this site.

A lovely little site, just metres from the shore at the southern end of Cleethorpes. The spacious pitches are level, electric points being available around the perimeter of the site with the central area ideal for non-electric and tents.
A very warm and friendly welcome, we were given a choice of pitches on arrival. The modern facilities (stainless steel) were always spotless, free showers which were at an ideal temperature and the shower cubicles were roomy enough to take a couple of small children in to shower with you.
A 'swap shop' of fiction books was available in Reception, and although no playground for children, there are so many attractions in this area that none is necessary.
We really loved this site. Will we return - Certainly!

We called this site at 5pm for the same night and they made provisions to meet us at 7pm to book in.
The couple and the welcome we received were both fantastic, they ensured they placed us where other families were as opposed to the groups and couples. We were told that the site runs a zero tolerance policy on trouble which was really reassuring.
The toilets and showers were really good and very clean. Although this site was near a lot of local facilities it was quite well hidden away.
We had a good nights sleep and were allowed to leave our car there for the day while we explored the town.
Very nice clean site to which we will be returning in the school hols.

We stayed over the Mayday bank holiday when the site was very full but it was so well organised and looked after that it coped perfectly. The wardens are the most friendly and helpful we have met, always around the site for a chat etc. There is every type of recycling on site that you can imagine and we did not use the car at all whilst there. Didnt use the showers, but looked fine and the toilet block was always very clean. There were lots of families and pets but all very well behaved, my six year old loved the fact he could ride his bike and also play ball games. We will be back at this site next year.

We stayed at this site for first time bank hol weekend.having read previous reviews we thought we would try it out. When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly owners who made us very welcome. The toilets were very clean and the large showers were hot and free. The miniature steam railway stops near the entrance to the site which goes partly along the seafront. Pleasure island theme park is 2 min walk from site and macdonalds / kfc are just up the road. We have already made enquires about booking again. Good prices compared to others in area.

Just returned from a wonderful week at this site, the weather was fantastic and so was the site. The couple that own the site are extremely friendly and will do anything they can to make your stay a pleasure. The beach is a stones throw away although don't expect to see the sea too often.
We will be back as soon as we can.
