This is a really lovely site, being adults only seems to attract considerate campers who realise people come here for a bit of peace & quiet. Facilities were really good & found the shower & toilet facilities clean & adequate for the amount of pitches & did not have to wait at all. Pitches all hard standing & were a really generous size so caravans were not on top of one another &seemed to be all fully serviced. The only downside is the wifi access as we found a few of the visitors did have issues with connection while we were there. The owners do a good job in keeping this park looking lovely & really enjoyed our stay here.

A lovely small site with excellent facilities and friendly owners. It is hard standing so if you're visiting in a tent you will need a good hammer and footprint. 2 shower cubicles and hair dryer available. Very clean toilets and washing up area. Laundry facilities available and a great TV room which was a god send one night as the wind and rain was very bad! The honey farm next door is definitely worth a visit as is Paxton House which is a short walk away over the chainbridge and along the riverside. A very peaceful, well maintained site, well worth a visit.

This is one of the best small touring sites we have ever visited. Superb modern facilities. Each pitch has its own water tap. Friendly, clean and very well organised. It is superbly situated on the Scotland/England Border just above the River Tweed. The historic Chain Bridge over the Tweed is just a short walk away and the site itself is next door to the Chain Bridge Honey Farm which also incorporates an industrial and transport museum. Paxton House can be reached by way of a lovely walk along the banks of the Tweed. It is just a few minutes from the A1 and less than ten minutes drive into Berwick upon Tweed. Loads to do in the area. We will definitely return.

This is a small, peaceful site tucked out of the way about 4 miles out of Berwick-Upon-Tweed in fabulous, rolling countryside. This is a great little retreat with lots of wildlife and walks around. We saw heron, otter, bullfinch, nuthatch and more all within the week.
The site has just 16 pitches, they are all a decent size and are all hardstanding with water & EHU to each (note that some pitches are substantially wider than others). There is no drain away to each pitch.
The site is fairly new and in our view in need of more hedging / foliage to help break up the site and provide more privacy between pitches. This wasn't really a problem as the site was so quiet and the pitches are large but more hedging etc would put the icing on this cake.
The facilities are good - toilets & showers, washing machines & dryers, tv room and all sorts of local information. Note the toilet and shower block is communal, so there is no separate entrance for Gents / Ladies.
The site is perched about 50ft above the river Tweed and the summers rain has caused a landslide at the entrance to the site. It is fairly tight to get in/out with your caravan, so pay extra attention to the space available on the road. On the plus side, it has created a great view out over the river and the Union bridge from the site entrance.
Note this is an adult only site and was generally very peaceful as a result. However the site is on an L shape, the owners house occupies the inside of the L and there were occasions in which the owners kids did make considerable noise playing just next door to the site. Minor but irritating given by nature people seeking out an adult only site are most likely after peace and quiet.
There is little within walking distance of this site, other than Horncliffe village. This is pretty and has a pub that does food. We didn't try this and spent more time in Berwick itself - the Magna Indian and the Royal Gardens Chinese being particularly good.
Overall we had a great week on this site and would definitely go back.

Hadn't seen the reviews before we came for one night, but I agree - the site is a gem. I phoned to book, and the owner came round next morning to take the fee - we thought £17 was good value: your own water pipe at the pitch is a luxury for us motorhomers! It's listed in our CCC handbook as a Certificated Site (5 pitches, members only), but it has 16 pitches and the owner never asked if we were CCC members, so our handbook must be out of date now. I see one review thinks two showers isn't enough but it's a better ratio than many sites, and there's a couch to wait on, with magazines to read. And the file in the kitchen has a list of pubs that welcome dogs, though we didn't stay long enough to try them. Limited recycling.
The next door Honey Farm (an eclectic place) is useful in that you follow its brown tourist signs to find the site. We enjoyed N Berwick (especially the Regimental Museum in the Barracks by the ramparts) and a visit to Paxton House (the guided tour was interesting, there are regular events such as a Skiff Armada, and good exhibitions). We would be very happy to come back and spend longer here.

The faciities on this small site are the best I have come accross on a camp site. TV room with comfy looking sofas ( didn't try them). Spacious, private toilet cubicles and modern, powerful showers in spacious cubicles. Just wonderful. Kitchen area provided with sink, preparation area, microwave- and pretty sure I saw an iron and ironing board.
Information on local attractions is provided. One suggestion. A file of local walks/cycle routes would be a welcome addition. We walked along the riverbank at the far side of the bridge and it was really interesting. Loads of information about the fishing that went on there and about the buildings that remain. Saw a heron on the bank. We ended up at paxton house. Woods/grounds were lovely but we didn't go into the house.
We walked (about 15 mins) to the local put- think it was called the fishers arms, but apparently it doesn't open on a Tuesday!
The site is affected currently by the nearby landslide. A temporary access road has been made in the adjacent field. Its for residents only, and is hardly the A1- however there is traffic noise right behind your pitch if you are on that side so at the moment the site is not the sea of tranquillity that I'm guessing it usually is. Would I stay there again? Oh Yes!

Really good little site, with good facilities, though could do with two more showers. Having said that I never had to wait. You just have to pick your times well. Site allows dogs, which is good 'though most local pubs do not, which is bad. We did manage to find two that did allow doggies. One in Norham (they don't do food) The Victoia Hotel, and one in Paxton, The Cross, lovely old pub which do very nice food, though not cheap.
All in all a very nice generally quiet site, with really good sized pitches. Good TV signal for freeview, though was unable to detect wi-fi.
The toilets and showers are very good, indeed we have only found one site better.
The area is gorgeous, with nice walks along the river, look out for kingfishers and herons, you may get lucky and see an otter.
Would definitely go again.

We really liked this site. Admittedly access to the site is a bit tricky at the moment, but this was due a landslide affecting the entrance road.
The welcome was friendly and the site was peaceful with spacious pitches and a very laid back feel. The loo seats make you smile and the showers are fab.
We didn’t need the TV room, but it was much used by others as we were there right on Olympic Super Saturday.
The walk over the Chainbridge is beautiful and the Honey/ Vintage tractor Museum is great and well worth a visit.
Shall be returning to stay longer.

Fab - Fab - Fab What a wonderful place. Spacious, clean, quiet, adults only dogs allowed. Lovely amenities, showers (the pressure is wonderful) toilets, washing machines dryers and a lounge to relax watch TV or just chill.
Local village Horncliffe 15 min stroll down the road to the Fishers Arms, basic quiet country pub with wonderful food and friendly service. I said I would mention a young chap who fascinated me with his blackberry face down on top of his pint pot. Adding this is the way to get reception. Yes it was true thank you.
Riverside walk to Berwick 5 miles a bit muddy and a few landslides but made it! Lovely town shops and places to eat. £8 for a taxi back to the site.
There is a little museum next door to the farm with all tractors and machinery my husband loved it also a honey bee farm with all sorts to buy.
A wonderful experience and at £17 a night including electric was brilliant. Will definitely return

Just got back after some grim weather. Campsite was immaculate the shower and toilet area was the best we have ever been on. Without kids it w also probably the most peaceful. Pitches are more than ample. Lack of a shop on site means you need to be organised.
Off site the fishers arms is ten minutes walk not great for decor but good big portions and great beer to me make up for it. Local village of Etal very decorative with historic pub but not cheap for beer or food. Took a walk round Flodden battlefield which was an interesting and free hour though got soaked.
Spent a creepy couple of hours at Chillingham castle apparantly the most haunted castle in England and I wouldn't doubt it!
Great site forgot to mention the tv lounge which I didn't use but looks comfortable and the friendly but unintrusive owner.
