Just spent 4 nights at this lovely peaceful site with wonderful views. Excellent facilities very clean and well kept site.
15 mins walk to Fishers Arms in Horncliffe. Had haddock and chips very tasty and fresh we were made very welcome.
Went for walks down side of river both directions. Caught bus into Berwick had a walk round walls and walked round shops. Found everyone very friendly in shops and pubs.
Only downside was lack of local shop due to us being in a motorhome we had to make sure we had all the basics
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

This is simply the best site we have been to. The owners were friendly and welcoming on our arrival and called round at some point every day to check that everything was ok.
The facilities on site were superb with a large lounge area with washing up facilities, microwave and fridge for our use, a laundry with washing machines, dryers and ironing board. Very spacious showers and toilets.
The pitches were spacious with level hard standing and a small grass area between each one. All pitches had the usual electric hook ups but also had water as well which was most useful. The surrounding area was quiet and peaceful with views over the rolling fields and hills.
The only negative point from our perspective was that the wifi signal did not cover the whole site. We found that the signal was available near the facilities block only so perhaps a repeater would be useful. This is an adult only site although dogs were accepted!

We loved this site. Although running almost to capacity thanks to the sudden burst of glorious weather, it's still small enough to be friendly and the pitches are generous and well spaced.
The amenities block is wonderful as has been mentioned by others. We've often paid a lot more for far less at other sites.
The Honey Farm Visitor Centre and vintage vehicles next door made a pleasant afternoon's visit.
The town of Berwick is a short ride away as is Tesco's and a lovely Garden Centre whose restaurant serves Sunday Carvery meals.
We'll definitely visit here again.

What a fantastic site; a real gem. Being adults only it's quiet and the owner is very friendly and helpful.
The site is next door to a honey farm. While we were there the meadow next door was being cut but that is country noise and it didn't bother us. Otherwise the site was peaceful
The facilities are still being developed but are already beautiful. The showers and toilets are spotless. The attention to detail is impressive; even washing up liquid was provided.
There are 2 washing machines and 2 dryers and a fridge.
We will definitely be back.

We arrived after a very wet couple of days. We ended up on a slightly wet grass pitch with electric, but it soon dried out.
We walked to the local pub in the evening. This was a pre-planned visit to a folk session, which happens once a month and was excellent.
We drove off for an afternoon on Holy Island (Lindisfarne). You need to check on the tides. We had done some washing, crossed the Chain Bridge to Scotland and visited the Honey Farm next door (well worth it)in the morning.
It will be excellent when they have finished! There seemed to be plenty of toilets and showers, but there should be more in the future.
They were harvesting late into the night in the field behind but this did not disturb the tranquillity of the site.

We got a last minute overnight booking for a hardstanding pitch. Easy to find and pretty location a few miles out of Berwick. Small site so easy to find our pitch as the owner wasn't around. Lovely large gravel hardstanding with water and hookup really close.
The new facilities weren't quite finished but were all working - and yes they were quite luxurious for even the largest of campsite, with individual toilets and showers, indoor washing up, laundry facilities and tv room. I agree that insects printed on the loo seat was nice but a bit weird when you rise and look down!
The young screening fence did look a bit thin but will probably look better next year - presumably the shelter compensates for the loss of view.
Adults only wasn't something we'd chosen and I'm not sure why the owner made this decision, but there were no facilities for children here anyway - it didn't bother us. Honey farm next door is really interesting and free (nice things to buy too), and the chain bridge is a pretty walk with historic interest. If it had been less wet we'd have loved to walk along the river to see the otters. Great walk around the walls at Berwick.
Very friendly owner gave us information about local walks, pubs etc. And if you read the review which said the Fishers Arms didn't look very inviting, don't be put off! This very small, quiet family pub served us a lovely home cooked meal, including a delicious vegetarian stew. They were very friendly and charged reasonable prices.
We would recommend this site and would stay again - it isn't the cheapest, but for what you get it is good value.

Lovely site. Facilities are excellent with separate showers and 3 wc's. Washers & driers/microwave television room and very good information for the area. Bus stop at the end of the lane 5 minutes walk. Walking and cycling from site. Peaceful. Nearest town is Berwick which was 10-15 minutes on the bus. Village of Horncliffe easy walking distance. Lovely walks along the River Tweed in both directions. The Honey Farm next door is very good. We will be returning and would recommend to anyone. We also saw Otters in the River on one of our walks fantastic.

We booked this site via the UKcampsite web page and did so on the strength of some good reviews. Once we arrived we realised that it was more remote than we expected apart from a small village with one pub which only opened after 6PM ( The Fishers) The pub didn't look very inviting in any case from outside so we gave it a miss. We had a nice walk along the river Tweed and walked across the famouse 'chainbridge' which takes you from England to Scotland. On one side you get free further Education and free prescriptions and on the other side. You don't (Not that were bitter. !)
The site was well spaced out but we didn't like the owners new 7 ft screening hedge which when matured and filled out' will take away all the lovely views. Maybe it was the scotland border but for some reason and for the first time we were plagued by the 'dreaded MIDGIES' all over our van, maybe its the hedging that attracts them. The owner was very charming and dashed out to meet everyone. The toilets were fine but not luxury and we felt prices were a bit over the top. Its strange but an 'adult only' site has an odd atmosphere and if you like quiet this is the one for you. If not try elsewhere

Wow, Wow, Wow, what a change from last year. The site has been extended to accommodate more caravans some with gravel hard standing all with electric hookup and some with water.
The showers toilet facilities are as good as you would find in a top class hotel, the owner has really pulled all the stops out, allso there is a tv / reading room, with plenty to read, as well as washing facilities for doing pots and pans.
There are washing machines/dryers irons/hairdryers, this has been well thought out by the owner and his wife, making everybody's holiday one to remember.
The berwick on tweed area has plenty to offer fishing/walking, site seeing a market on Saturday and Wednesday some good eateries to suite anyone.
The Barn at Beale near holy island has a brilliant owl/birds of prey show, I think twice a day, not to be missed or the holy island again very interesting.

Had two brilliantly peaceful nights on this site, plenty of room between pitches and all perfectly level, with views across the fields.
Would recommend an evening walk across the bridge into Scotland to watch the wildlife, fish leaping and bats swooping.
A very warm welcome and a nice relaxed site.
Toilets and showers still a work in progress but more than adequate and will be fab when finished, although having insects on the toilet seats felt a bit weird!
Plenty to do in the area for all ages, we hope to return for a longer stay soon.
