This site suited us perfectly. Quiet, but well located for sight seeing in Scotland and Northumberland. A short drive to shops. A beautifully laid out site with views, and lots of flowers in pots and baskets. The very clean facilities had lots of thoughtful extras, such as ice for drinks in the freezer, and home made cakes. Kirsty, the manager, has a wealth of local knowledge, and happily gave us good advice on places to visit and helpful tips on parking etc. We felt nothing would have been too much trouble.

A quiet site with fantasic facilities, the shower is the best I've ever had. The warden, Kirsti is very helpful and provides home baked cakes (£1 for a large slice) daily. The apple cake was wonderful. The pub in Horncliffe is 10-15 minutes walk from the site and is now under new management. My husband visited it one afternoon and was made most welcome by the new landlord who stressed that dogs were very welcome in the pub and that food is now available plus my husband said that the beer was good. There are some lovely riverside walks which start approximately 500 yards from the site and all this site is missing is a dedicated dog walk for late night and early morning ablutions(providing that owners act responsibly, cleaning up after their dogs). Surely the site could come to some agreement with the Honey farm next door who seem to have plenty of land, after all the visitors staying at the site must spend a considerable amount of money in the visitor centre shop, I know I did. If this matter was addressed I would give this site top marks. 10plus.

We stayed here for 3 nights at end of September. Its a lovely quiet site and very pleasant wardens. T shower blocks have under floor heating, there's a tv room also freezer, iron, microwave, hair dryer, just about everything. The site has hard standing pitches with your own water and electricity, well spaced out. Its a lovely part of the world to be in and Kirsty the warden even makes cakes. Excellent dog walks, you wouldn't be disappointed

Our visit to this camp site was for one week. Th facilities are superb, home made bakes and fresh eggs available daily. Having everything in one place was good; almost like a bungalow with a lounge washing area, toilets and showers. Showers the best we have had good power and heat control. Clean and lots of useful guides/information leaflets. Beautiful location and yes very tranquil. Great for exploring the coast of Northumberland and the Scottish border. Beautiful long stretches of beaches, and really friendly people. Our rangers were very helpful, lovely and informative. We will definitely go again as do most of the other campers.

We have used several Tranquil Parks sites, Adult only. This is one of my favourites. A really relaxing site, good facilities, nice and clean very friendly. The site always had a selection of cake, and other produce for sale with an honesty box for payment. As well as the shower and toilets there's a TV room with books or DVDs to borrow. Launderette, fridge, and microwave.
We popped next door to Honey Farm, worth a look around and tea and cake. Walked to over the union bridge into Scotland and visited Paxton House. Spent a day in Berwick shopping and walking the old battlement walls.

Super little site, luxury washing up facilities with fairy liquid provided, home baking (scrummy) and a few basic groceries available inc fresh eggs. Lounge with TV was used by several keen Olimpics fans and there is a kettle and microwave available in case you come ill equipped or want a cuppa and snack while watching washing machines! Warden and spouse super friendly and helpful. Very quiet location despite Honey Farm and museum next door, easy drive to seaside and Berwick town. Lots of local info available leaflets, menus and tide tables for Holy Isle crossing. Easy walk to local pub (steaks nice but chips bog standard).
Nice having a tap for each pitch as well as hookups. Only disappointment was the showers being separate from the loos and washbasins, on high class sites I like having all facilities behind one door, it was slightly inconvenient to use loo, brush teeth then gather all gear up and move to shower room, then move again back to loo area for hair dryer (though it was very nice to have a hair dryer provided). Will be booking there again. The dogs loved it too.

Cracking little site - hardstandings are level and although they are not the biggest pitches, they are well maintained. The honey farm next door is interesting as is the old chain bridge. There are lovely walks along the riverbanks ( and a bit of an uphill climb back up to the site but the scrumptious home made cakes available on site and a nice little cafe at the honey farm make it worth every step!). Local eggs also available and other basics with payment by honesty box. We were there mid-week and during term time so the honey farm next door was not so busy and did not disturb us. Good local pub that does food and folk music! Quick drive into Berwick which is always worth a visit. We watched salmon fisherman on the river being robbed by the local seals - we were amused, the fishermen less so!

What can I say about this site except that is excellent, great facilities, clean tidy and very helpful, we arrived on the back of a breakdown truck and the warden and fellow campers were so helpful we were up and running in no time
This site has one major factor for it being so good KIRSTIE the warden when we arrived she had told others on the site of our problem, made tea biscuits and hugs, made phone call to help us get a hire car, a real gem all site need a Kirstie
