Just returned from the Easter weekend spent here and had to write and say what an excellent site it is. The toilet block was always clean and warm despite the rain, wind, ice and then four inches of snow we encountered during our stay. The showers were wet rooms with plenty of space to get changed and ample hot water, hooks and shelves to hang things. Washing up area was under cover with hot water and washing up liquid provided. Although we have tented in the past this was our first caravan outing and we had a problem with our heating. I mentioned it to Kevin, the owner, who was only too willing to come and help solve the problem which he did. This is a quiet rural site but they do sell a few basic items and the newspapers are still delivered at 9.15 on Sunday mornings. There is an excellent pub about 400 metres away that sells good food at reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning here.

Review from the Owners:
It is possible that you will read a review from a customer criticising our dog policy.
Please note that we welcome dogs of any breed as long as our Park rules are adhered to, as per any other Park in the country.
Please feel free to bring your dogs, but they must be on a lead, only use our dog loo, and dog exercising is off site but only 30 yds away in beautiful countryside.
Dog mess also must be cleared up in all cases.
We also don't allow our showerblocks to be used to wash dogs, and dogs are not allowed in the washing up area.
We hope 99% of our customers would agree with these points anyway, and look forward to welcoming you soon.

This is a lovely, quiet site, clean & tidy, extremely helpful owners, set in a beautiful part of the country.
The toilet & shower block isn't brand new but it is spotlessly clean, small cloth hand towels are provided for drying hands rather than paper ones - a much appreciated touch. Papers delivered at weekends, fish & chips delivered on Saturday nights!

We enjoyed our stay at this site. A few points. It is adult only, and generally older adults. Every unit (apart from us) was a retired couple. Generally the site is very quiet, There is no site noise (doors slamming, people chatting etc) at all. However, there are some chickens next door and the cockerels are Very Loud! We were put on a pitch near them and were repeatedly woken up from 3am! If you go to this site request a pitch as far from the chickens as possible! There was also a bit of road noise but not loads. The site is very well maintained. The tent field is nice also and the toilets are kept clean with good hot showers. The staff were very friendly. Lots of good pubs nearby especially the Angel in Stoke by Nayland (a few miles away). Recommended. Minus the chickens! Agh!

We phoned at the last minute for May Bank Holiday weekend and were lucky enough to get a pitch as the owners had received a cancellation telephone call the night before. The owners were not in when we arrived but their teenage children welcomed us, showed us to our pitch and advised us when the owners would be back for us to pay (£25 for two nights for the two of us). The normal camping pitch was full of caravans due to some association or other using it so the playing field with BBQ and picnic benches was being used as a tent field for the weekend. The field was quite small and, with us, was full with about ten tents. Also, being an adult only site, was nice and quiet. The shop facilities are very sparse, last minute goods for anything that can't wait for you to visit anywhere else. Just two minute walk away though was a farm-shop which while quite expensive, has most of what you might want/need. The washroom facilities were quite pleasant. Basic but clean with free flannels for you to borrow while you were there. The washing machine and tumble drier were £2 each to use and I only saw one washing up sink, which for a full camp-site wasn't really enough. As it happens, due to the torrential rain and gale-force winds during our stay, we didn't 'eat-in' other than breakfast cereal so washing up for us was minimal. We would definitely visit this site again, hopefully when the weather is better and for more than just two nights.

A small and quiet park (at the time of our visit). One third full. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nicely laid out park. Individual bays. Divided by mature and pretty shrubbery. Hard-standing/grass/stones. The play area was slightly disappointing. The swings were missing, just leaving a slide. Large play field with brick BBQ and picnic tables. Separate dog walking area. Roaming hens with resident cockerel (this is the countryside!). Man selling newspapers from his car on a Sunday morning (not too early!).
One toilet block for each gender, including two free showers with good hot water supply and disabled facilities. Hand basins and dish washing sink. A little chilly in the toilet block, though but clean and tidy. Mops supplied. Electric hook-up, fresh water points, chemical and grey water waste points. Short walk to local pub with restaurant/bar food and play area.
Not that much to do in the immediate area. Hadleigh and Sudbury, both market towns, are within short driving distance. We found it was a relaxing site, it was our first time caravanning and proved enjoyable for us.
