We are fairly new to camping and this was also our first time with our two dogs (both a year old) so we didn't want to go too far from home, in case they were a nightmare! Also have two children, 11 and 14.
The field is lovely, large and flat. It rained heavily on our second day but, as others have said, the field was not a bit waterlogged. The play area is within sight wherever you pitch and they also have a great skateboard ramp, which was very popular with the kids.
Only a few EHU pitches, one of which we had. There were quite yappy dogs in the house next door to where we were on the field, so if you take a dog and it will bark incessantly back, you may wish to choose the other side of the field!
The new block housing the toilets, showers and washing up room was nice and kept clean. They shut the block between 10.30 and 11.30am to clean, although extra cleaning took place at other times. There are two sinks to wash up in and a freezer to use as well.
As said in other reviews, the shop is well-stocked and overall it was a very pleasant stay. We stayed Mon-Fri and found it very calm and relaxing. Can't comment on what a weekend would be like though. Can imagine it's quite popular as very reasonably priced and looking at the amount of black bags waiting to be removed when we arrived on the Monday, it indicated a very busy time!
Will definitely visit again, possibly a weekend next time but may drop-in one weekend when nearby to see how busy it could be.

The new facilities are great, although the site was very busy they were even in there cleaning them at 10o/c in the evening!
Although it rained the site didn't water log but the loos did flood due to baby wipes being put down a loo!
Would recommend to young families. We were near the play area and although the older kids were making a bit of noise in the evenings our kids still managed to sleep through.

Our fourth visit to 'Top Notch' Farm and it just gets better - more EHU's and much improved facilities since our last visit.
It was busy weekend with poor weather so the toilet block was bound to get wet and a little dirty but it really didn't detract from a great stay.
Only minor gripe was the need to press the shower button too often to get a decent shower otherwise it's a great place to stay - we'll definitely be back

Met some lovely fellow campers, lots of room to play games with the kids.
The Shower/Toilet block were clean and well kept which just adds to the site.
The farm shop was amazing, loads of fresh food including fresh burgers, sausages, ribs etc. We had done a shop to bring along with us but would buy everything from the shop in future.
Will definitely be returning in the future!
All in all excellent value for money.

This is the second time we have stayed here and have already booked for a long weekend in August.
The site owners are brilliant, can't do enough for you, the shop is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. New shower block is a winner. The children spent most of their time at the park which can be viewed from the whole field.
Warm, friendly and safe feeling to the whole place.
We didn't leave the site so can't comment on the local area.
Fish and chip van came on Saturday night- very reasonable prices.
No running around trying to pack up by 10am either, really flexible, we left at 4pm on Sunday afternoon.
Perfect for a relaxing long weekend.

We visited this site on the may bank holiday. The site was busy but due to the size of the field, not overcrowded.
The field was flat, well tended and although the weather was cold and very wet, the field did not water log at all, in fact it seemed to dry really quickly.
The site shop was excellent. All you could need at very reasonable prices.
There is a play park on site that is visible from most pitches, the kids spent lots of time there.
The new toilet and shower facilities were quite good although there seemed to be very little hot water after 10am. The floors were quite wet also but this could be down to the amount of rain that fell with people not wiping their feet.
We didn't really have the chance to explore the local surroundings due to the bad weather but St Neots is pretty close
All in all a very good find which we will be going back to quite regularly - especially at £10 per night with no minimum booking period

Had a lovely bank holiday weekend at Top End Farm.
Toilets, showers and washing up area were all kept clean despite it being fairly busy!
The kids had a great time on the play area even though our youngest fell and broke her wrist (nothing to do with the play area, just kids being kids!). The owners were very helpful and gave directions to the hospital with phone numbers and postcodes.
The farm shop was amazing, loads of fresh food including fresh burgers, sausages, ribs etc. We had done a shop to bring along with us but would buy everything from the shop in future.
Will definitely be returning in the future!

Just had a brilliant weekend at Top End we live 20 mins away and feel on holiday as soon as we pitch up! I just wanted to Congratulate Rachel, Sarah and all the staff for all there hard work over the winter.
The new Shower/Toilet block is a Huge improvement and just add's to the site. Our girls were at the park all weekend rain or shine and the shop is a little Aladins cave
All in all excellent value for money & reminded us why we started camping in the first place.

Just got back from this site for the May day bank holiday. This site has the potential to be a great site. The owners are very welcoming and helpful.
Nice flat fields the large one has a lovely play area for kids and skate board ramp. Great shop and off licence. We were in a secluded smaller field with electric hook up,well kept with flowers and blossom trees, picnic tables.
The ''kitchen'' was ideal with sinks and a freezer for your blocks. The surrounding area is nice had a short trip into St.Neots with it lovely park and small town. Visited the local pub warm welcome and the food looked good.
On the down side there is a new almost finished shower and toilet block. The weather wasn't great but the state the showers got in would put anyone off I feel the problem lies at the main door it need a mat to wipe your feet on before entering the toilets and showers. The showers were unfortunately luke warm and are the push button type but on such a short timer. No hairdryer as yet.
Another gripe no separate area to dispose of your waste water it had to be disposed of down the elsan toilet whitch means you have to lift it up my husband is quite abled but could be a job for an elderly person.
The pub was lovely but seems more than a mile away I wouldn't want to walk it and quite a hill on return. Not sure about their electrics our heating took ages to heat up also the kettle and our microwave would only turn the plate round but worked perfectly when we got home???
All in all we had a pleasant time here shame there were these few complaints. On the plus side it was only £12.50 per night with electric.

Just got back today from this site. I just want to say new toilet and shower block now open and its brilliant. Mens has 2 urinals 3 toilets and 3 showers. Womens had 4 toilets and 3 showers. Plus there was a disabled toilet and new kitchen. Kitchen unit is not finished yet but you can use the sinks. Showers are now free and lovely and hot. From what I saw the toilets were cleaned at least twice a day.
Also there are now more electric pitches.
