This is a small but super new site located on a working farm in peaceful countryside. The owning family cannot do enough to please campers!
Site ideal for campers who want peace and quiet! Small enclosed site is very safe for young children and dogs (with well behaved owners) as they can be seen at all times. However, some very bad drivers in the villages; so, if walking on the farm roads constant vigilance / supervision / care is essential!
The unisex toilet / shower unit was kept immaculately clean; even in atrocious weather! Although not the owners fault I have marked it 9/10 as I had to use the toilets on several occasions after at least one male camper with bad habits/hygiene! There can be a queue/wait for the shower.
The information supplied about the surrounding area and local attractions is correct.
The small town of Brampton is a short drive away. Here, campers can buy necessities; there is even a laundrette (closed weekends) and Roosters - recommended by owners - sell excellent fish and chips and take away meals!
Except for the horrible weather; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return here whenever possible. Thank You!

I got told about this site from a friend, we had a warm welcome and was shown to our pitch, which was hard standing with plenty of room for an awning.
The shower block is immaculate and was very impressed with the hair straighteners, a lot of thought and quality has gone into this block. There is a recycling point also.
The views are fantastic it is very quiet and tranquil, dogs are welcome and with the Hadrians wall right on the door step there is plenty of walks.
We were told about near by pubs, and shops which are a 10 min car drive into Brampton a nice market town or Carlisle again 10 min drive, Which has an array of shops, Castle an Museum and of activities in the area to keep the children amused Walby farm park being one of the closest at a 5 min drive.
A lovely little site will definitely be back.

We received a very warm and friendly welcome. The views were beautiful and the site very well maintained.
The toilet block was clean and provided excellent facilities and a very good shower. Nice touch to have straighteners and a hairdryer.
We were there just one night but know that it is very close to Carlisle and all the tourist attractions there and Hadrian's wall is just across the field.
When we were there, there was plenty of space to play games on the grass. We had a very enjoyable time on this well maintained site and will definitely be back!

This is a nice wee quiet site that will be an excellent stopping off point en route for Scotland/England. There are five spots for caravans, and a grassy area for tents where we camped.
The loos and shower are in a Portable cabin, and very clean, plenty of soap, loo roll etc. Might get a bit busy if the site was full, but no probs when we were there. Wash-up area outside under shelter, plenty of hot water.
The site is on a working farm, so expect farmyard noises (lambs, tractors) and scents (cows). There's not a playground, but it wasn't busy when we were there, and there was room to chuck a frisbee - wouldn't do it if the site was full though. There are loads of beautiful villages close by, and plenty of pubs to choose from. No shop on site, but an enormous Tesco about 15 minutes away on the edge of Carlisle.
Don't let this site's location next to Carlisle Airport put you off - the noisiest plane is a twin-engined Cessna!
Lovely friendly owners, very helpful. Fantastic value for money - recommended.
