Lovey location on the Hadrian’s wall path and a small friendly campsite.

Facilities were clean and adequate for the size of the site.
Enjoyed our stay.

This is a lovely quiet, level site.

Clean shower and toilet facilities, washing up area, separate site for small tents.

Very friendly owner and easy access to Hadrian's wall.

Would recommend and we will be back.

Thanks

Stayed while walking Hadrian's wall, it's right on the trail.

Lovely place, lovely people.

Good facilities, even a hair dryer! I hear they're getting a second shower soon.

Very cheap, only a fiver when I stayed.

Great campsite for walkers, right on Hadrian's Wall. Toilets and shower are warm and clean.

Everything you need for an overnight!

The one thing that would improve it is a bench in the tent paddock.

Not sure if I want to leave a review ! This is a wee hidden gem, lovely quiet campsite, with excellent facilities. Andrew the owner along with his parents

, check throughout the day to ensure all is ok. Lovely family and have made the campsite a very pleasurable experience.

Cannot recommend enough, very hot water in the shower, toilet facilities clean, adequate sinks with hot water for dishes.

Excellent field for walking the dog, we picked up after our dog but unfortunately there is always someone who does not - what is their problem?

 Great campsite!

Pros:

Great paddock for tents

Clean and excellent facilities, including a hot shower, hairdryer and straighteners

Really friendly and welcoming owner

A very short walk from Hadrian's wall route - which is much appreciated after a long day

Good signage from the route to the campsite

Great price

Cons:

None! well there was a slightly squeaky gate which someone opened very early in the morning, but that was the only thing I would change, and that's really nothing at all! I stayed in 4 campsites, this was my fave

Excellent stop over just minutes from the M6 with very clean facilities.

We took a very nice 9km walk East along Hadrian’s Wall path, dropping down to Sally’s Pub for food and back around the Northern perimeter of Carlisle airport (flying museum open Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Very nice and quiet small campsite with electric hookup for a great price. With Carlisle just down the road it’s easy to go out for food or do some shopping.

We used the campsite for a stop over on the way back from a trip to Scotland and was the perfect little one night stop over.

Toilets and showers are easily accessed with 2 toilets and 1 shower between the site (plenty for number of people using it).

The site is nice and quiet located just out of the city and far enough away from the M6 so noise isn’t an issue for a quiet nights sleep.

Hard standing pitches and grass pitches are available.
