Please note this site is now under new ownership. It was previously known as Ashbrook Caravan & Camping Park, and has now been renamed Hay-on-Wye Caravan Park

Very neat well laid out site about 20 minutes walk from Hay on Wye town.
Very clean toilet and shower block. Very helpful owner who let us on site a little early. They also fill your water if you need any and have extra long electric cables to loan if your won't reach the hook up posts which are quite spaced out.
The only negative was that they tell you which pitch to park on, your not given the option to choose. This did mean some people were pitched close to the busy road when there were better pitches available.

Lovely friendly owners, nice that they fill your water tank. Hardstanding pitches with grass ours was a bit cramped in between two others but most looked more spacious.
Very clean facilities although didn't use showers. Toilets could do with a hook to hang bag or coat.
Nice easy walk into Hay which is a lovely little town
Site was busy but very peaceful when the yappy dogs left (we have a dog but luckily he doesn't bark constantly) bit of road noise but nothing disturbing.
Seasonal caravans on site all very friendly and welcoming
Would happily return

Stayed for two nights while walking in the area with a friend. Site is just out side of Hay on Wye. Five Minutes by car. It's possible to walk from Hay to the campsite as well. About 15 minutes.
Camp site is well laid out with car stands for vehicles or caravans. Each location has its own picnic table. Site is very well maintained with all facilities working well. It is also very clean.
Owners were on site for any queries and helpful. Would visit again.

Very well kept site, with a really nice layout. About 20 mins walk into lovely Hay on Wye.
Unfortunately due to restrictions we could not use the facilities, but from the outside they looked quite new and modern.
Owners were very friendly and helpful, and seem to be looking to improve on what is a very good site.
A little road noise, but didn't affect our stay at all.
Will definitely return.

This was our first visit to Ashbrook and it won't be our last.
Denice gave us a friendly welcome, including advice on walking into Hay.
Alvin then helped set us up on a choice of pitches and we soon settled in.
The site is immaculately kept and everything was to hand, although the shower and toilet block was still closed due to Welsh Government Covid guidelines.
We walked the tracks into Hay and discovered the beautiful area called The Warren and enjoyed a lovely picnic and stroll with our grandchildren, who we hadn't seen since Christmas Day.
A few of the caravans on site were on seasonal pitches and who can blame them their owners (who were extremely friendly) for wanting to stay on such a lovely site.

This was our second stay at Ashbrook Caravan Site, as before a warm welcome and everything as you would expect if it was your own caravan site.
From the moment you book in you are asked if you need water for the Motorhome it will be filled on request. Then you are shown to your pitch. If you require a longer hookup lead Alvin will lend you one.
Wastemasters are available to empty MH waste so you haven’t got to keep moving the vehicle. The toilet block is heated and immaculate. The site is beautifully kept.
There is some road noise but it didn’t bother us. And there is no play area for children again we didn’t take any.
We will return

Situated just a 10 minute walk to the fab town of hay on Wye, Ashbrook is an ideal location.
The site is kept spotlessly clean by Alvin and Denice who are always on hand if you have a problem.
The showers are hot and powerful and immaculate. There is a fridge / freezer and washing up facilities and free WiFi to use.
There are plenty of hardstanding pitches and many more camping pitches on the perfect grass.
I can't complement the site and its owners enough we've need coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Located on the B4350 Brecon Road it boasts a 4 star grading. The site is almost flat, only a slight slope from the top of the field down to the road. A mixture of hard standing and grass pitches, the site is predominantly aimed at touring caravans and motorhomes. Tents are allowed. Road noise may be a problem for some if camping close to the road.
The field is kept in immaculate order. There are litter bins located at various positions around the site. The shower and toilet blocks are spotlessly clean. However, there is a 50p charge for the showers! I can’t understand why this is! At £20 a night for a camping pitch (without electric) surely a shower should be included? This is just greedy.
The washing up facilities does not reflect the 4 star rating. This shoddy little space houses 2 sinks and a single draining board. A section of the floor next to the draining board has rotted away and is a trip hazard.
The owner is always on patrol making sure his visitors are toeing the line. The site is clearly well maintained and efficiently managed but has no atmosphere whosoever. It felt like a graveyard for touring caravans and motorhomes. If you like this sort of thing, go there and enjoy. I’ll be camping elsewhere.

Alvin and Denice were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, and always cleaning and tidying, although quite how they found anything to clean was beyond me, as everything was spotless!
Excellent value for money. Had to pay for showers, but they were warm and powerful, so didn't mind.
Aforementioned cows didn't particularly like us, but managed to skip into another field to bypass them.
