I have just spent the weekend at ash brook and I can only say it is one of the best sites I have been to, you will not find better washroom facilities than this, everything about the site is first class, and the owners cannot do enough for you ill give you an instance one of my tyres on my motor home was a little flat, the owner happily volunteered to put some air in it for me. Fantastic people if only all camp sites were run like this

I would concur with the other reviewers.
We stayed here for just one night, after spotting it on a previous day trip to Hay, and what a lovely site.
The owner is very welcoming and a great host. The site is kept in immaculate condition (the grassed areas are like a bowling green and the hard standings top class - all the pitches were very generous).
The toilet/shower block was spotless.
Hay is a short walk away across an adjacent field and then down a quiet country road.
We will definitely be back.

We would highly recommend this wonderful site. It is extremely clean and very nicely kept by the on site owners who are very helpful and pleasant. The showers and toilets were very clean and the washing up area was literally sparkling. The pitches are large and spacious for Caravans and Motorhomes and there is plenty of flat area to pitch a tent - electric hook up was offered.
It is a lovely walk into Hay on Wye (about 20 minutes) where you wll find lots of interesting little book shops and cafes.
Happy Holiday

Very impressed with the cleanliness and facilities. The owners are very welcoming and its set in a lovely location and within walking distance of the town. There is a lovely footpath through adjoining fields and farmland which takes you past the festival site before safely joining the main road into Hay. It takes about 25 mins and its a lovely walk.
Cleanest toilets and showers I've ever seen on any site.

This is a fantastic site to stay on. The owners are the best they were very helpful and friendly.
The site pitches were well kept with access to a bench by your pitch. The toilets were modern and kept very clean. The showers have a small charge but they are also clean modern and you get more than enough time. The washing facilities are very good and well stocked with cleaning materials.
We will be back next year, great site highly recommended.

What a lovely site! We stayed for 3 nights during the Hay Festival period - site is an easy 10 minute walk across fields/along quiet lane to get to Festival site, and a further 10 minute walk into Hay town centre - we didn't need to use the car all weekend. Shower/toilet block absolutely spotless; pitches nice and flat. Owners are very helpful and friendly. We got towed onto and off our pitch by the owners - not sure if this is something they always do, or if it was because it was a particularly busy time. Site was very busy while we were there, but there was no problem with noise or overcrowding. Will definitely go back again.

We had a lovely weekend in ashbrook c&c park hay on wye. Its must be one of the cleanest sites around, Credit must go to the owners. The toilet & shower block is top draw, spotlessly clean, the whole site is clean & tidy with level hard standings, the grass mowed & collected on a regular basis. Plenty of large bins sited around the park so no excuse to leave your rubbish laying around. There are some lovely walks around the site, very nice views up & down the valley. Work is on going on the site to improve which is already a brilliant place to bring your caravan or tent. Owners are very helpful couple they have got lots of time for their guests which is very rare these days. We will be definitely be going back there soon.

What a fabulous site. Stayed here for 3 nights and watched the owner work from first thing in the morning to early evening. The owners are probably the most friendly I have come across and nothing was too much for them, very helpful and full of information on the area. Stopped work first thing in morning to chat with us about our day and his plans for the site.
The site is in its second year and whilst there are things that need completing such as paths, it is superb. Will certainly visit again.
Toilets are superb, warm and spotless. Showers likewise, 50p for shower but as others have stated acceptable considering the value of the site fees.
The grass areas were cut and all grass collected which meant no grass in van. Site is exposed but that means plenty of sun wen it is not hidden by clouds. Lets hope some hedging is in the plans.
20/30 mins stroll into hay on a quiet lane.
Lovely pubs in town and plenty of walking in the area.
Top tip is to give this site a try I don't think you will e disappointed.

All the comments made previously were true of our visit. A very clean site with a very well-kept and well-equipped toilet block. The site is still a work in progress, so a few cast iron plates cover holes in the roadway, but it's clear that a lot of investment has gone into this site. Its newness may contribute to it feeling quite sterile to us - no trees or bushes to break up the field, for example, but the view up the valley is pleasant.
The owners have gone to the trouble of providing a disabled toilet/shower wet room, but it is not accessible by anyone in a wheelchair; the step up to the door is just as high as to the able-bodied toilets, (there is no ramp). This may be an important point for disabled visitors.
It's a bit hard to get anywhere except by transport; there is a footpath to Hay on Wye, (about 30 minutes, apparently) but to get to the nearest pub (towards Glasbury) would involve walking along the verge of the fairly busy road that passes the site. This will matter more to some than others, of course.

Just had a long weekend at ashbrook caravan and camping, great site, large pitches, a large flat park kept in pristine condition( a credit to the owners) the toilet blocks and showers are almost brand new and are kept like new. The showers are 50p a time but are hot straight away so plenty of time for a shower. The site is by the road but not noisy and makes getting in and out of the the park a piece of cake. The owners take pride in their site and are very welcoming the site is just outside hay on wye slow walk 30mins taking a footpath across a grassfield at the back of the site and down a minor road to the main road. Good base for exploring mid wales, walking and cycling. Will be going back soon
