It is the second time we have used this site and like last time it is clean well ran and had everything we needed. It is also close to the Hay Festival site!
I will stay here again, which is probably the best recommendation.

What a gem of a site.
It had rained recently and Alvin showed me where to pitch my tent to avoid a damp patch. He came back a few hours later to check I had settled in. He was also kind enough to show me how to walk into Hay without having to use the main road which didn’t have a footway.
The site is flat with a circular road running near its perimeter. There is plenty of hard standing for those that need it and electric hook up too.
The toilet/shower block was immaculate with plenty of hot water, soap, mirrors and hand dryers. These appear to be cleaned at least once a day.
The wash up area had a supply of instant hot water so no waiting for the water to run hot.
With my small tent I was charged £6 a night. An absolute bargain.
When next in Hay and looking for a site I will be going straight here.

They were very helpful even filied our van up with water and came to check on us to see if we ok and needed any more water. Site facilities were spotless there were lovely walks to go on with the dog will definitely be coming back

Stayed for one night in this lovely site. Immaculate facilities. Lovely warm welcome. Amazing views. Pitches all tarmacked and flat. Generous pitches. Radio 2 piped into toilet block which was lovely, ! Wondered into Hay along back lane which took 20 minutes. Market day on Thursday so Hay had an extra buzz about it. Would happily recommend this site and hope to be back sometime soon!

This is a fantastic site. It is not too big and the grounds and facilities are immaculately maintained. The owners were very helpful and made us feel welcome.
The wifi is free and there appears to be a good strong signal all over the site.
As we had a tent we loved the fact that the pitch was level and stone free. One very nice touch was the provision of a freezer that we could access at any time of day.
We will return!

We arrived early, a sin we know! but Alvin let us on with no second thought about the time. He found us a lovely pitch looking down across the site and a wonderful view. He then popped back with the bus timetable and explained which way to walk to Hay on wye.
The showers and toilet block are the cleanest I have seen, Denice must work hard to keep up the high standard. Great hot water and a good amount of time in the shower, a must for me!
Alvin and Denice made us both feel so welcome and Bill did too.
The buses were easy as you are dropped off just outside the entrance.
A wonderful few days had by both of us and we will be back.
Thank you for all that you do to keep it running so smoothly.
Pam and Bryan.

My husband and I plus our two boxer dogs stayed here for one night and I wished we'd booked more.
This by far has to be one of the best maintained sites we have ever stayed at.
The owners Alvin and Denice were very friendly and welcoming.
Our friends stayed here for the same weekend and they too agreed with our comments.
The walk into Hay on Wye takes you through a field and then to a quietish lane before you join the main road (which is pavements all the way). It's about a 20 minute walk.
We hope to return soon as we had a lovely stay.

Clean through out the site, great views, a half hour walk to Hay on Wye (at my speed) if you need a taxi book early, all info. On site and lovely helpful owners. I will use again as the area is great and the stay was just stress free.

A lovely well cared for site for a visit to hay festival. A real bonus was free wifi also a short walk over the hill to the festival site. Great weather for the festival was a real bonus.
Would recommend this site for any visit to hay!

Fantastic Experience. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and even helped position the caravan and given helpful tip on the local area.
The sanitary block was always immaculate and BBC Radio 2 to keep you entertained while showering.
Due t it's size you are never far from the amenities. Lots of water taps all over the campsite too.
Wifi is strong and good all over the area. Washing & drying machines are quick and efficient.
Overall a beautiful site very well maintained and to top it all off Hay on Wye is a beautiful town with some great pub food.
Well worth a visit.
