This is a hidden gem of a campsite. Beautiful peaceful location.
Spotless facilities friendly welcome and lovely animals.
The dog fields are brilliant with space to run play and sniff for the dogs and picnic benches provided for the humans.
Most dog friendly site ever.

It was lovely to be greeted by Jon, it was like visiting family members rather than a holiday destination. As usual, the site was kept immaculate.
The pitches are gravel, level and a nice size for privacy. The little shop is handy for a few items- Jon is always happy to get ideas for what is needed.
The showers and toilets are spotlessly clean. Beaches are close enough if you are able to bike and one beach is a few minutes drive along the road.
There are plenty of other places to visit, but it's always great to get back to 'Captain Bluebell's'!

We managed to get a stay here at short notice due to our van being locked away (for repairs) during lockdown - so could not plan in advance and this was our first holiday in nearly 2 years.
Not been to this site before but have stayed in the area many times over the years.
We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
It's quiet, not on a main road, with friendly owners.
Handy as a base as its in between Sutton on Sea and Chapel St, Leonards. Adults only and dog friendly, with 2 x pubs and the sea (Anderby Creek) within 5 mins drive.
Small shop selling local produce (eggs, honey etc). Good space between pitches.
If you like a quiet site you should enjoy a stay here.

Captain Bluebells is an adults only site that caters very well for dog owners with dog walking areas on site. The facilities are kept spotlessly clean and there are hand sanitizer stations through the site.
There are rare breed sheep, goats, 2 alpacas and a llama on site. As well as some chickens. They are all very friendly
The owners Sarah and Jon are available 24/7 and nothing is to much trouble for them
. The site is ideally situated with the beach at Anderby creek about two miles away. Skegness, Ingoldmells and Mablethorpe are all within easy reach.
There are grass and hard standing pitches all with electrics.
I would definitely visit again.

What a gem of a site. Warm welcoming, friendly. Nothing was too much trouble, quiet site. Really good shower block, very clean. Loved the fresh eggs every morning and all the animals.
This is a site we will be going back to on a regular basis now we have found it. Thank you both for a really enjoyable stay.
We had no children with us but the children on site seemed to be having a good time.

We have just arrived home after spending 4 wonderful days on Captain Bluebells. Its ideally situated for Skegness and the surrounding area experience.
Skeggi Vegas, Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe there is something for every one. Lovely villages and the coast road with its access to very quiet beaches for walking our dog. The site itself is a jewel.
The facilities are the cleanest I have used for years. Fresh eggs if you want them for breakfast. Free WIFI in certain areas of the site. But the best is its so animal friendly a great dog walk and access to to pet all their animals if you want.
Highly recommended. The owners are customer focussed nothing is to much trouble. We cant wait to go back. Its a calm relaxing site and there was no down side for us.

Shhh! This review is top secret because we don't really want to share this gem of a campsite.
We are a family that don't do evening entertainment and want a quiet site that is close enough to Skegness to be able to do the slots, close enough to a beach to be able to play in the sand and splash in the sea. We want a Basecamp. Captain Bluebell's Farm is that, and so much more. We have never been happier.
Right from our first communication we just knew we had found people of the same mind of us. They have a curfew of 10. 30pm, and so our family curtailing our daily adventures around 9. 30 has been fine. We haven't been kept awake by people chatting into the small hours etc.
This was our first blessing, but there have been so many more. Clean loos, hot showers, a microwave, toaster and hot water boiler constantly on, so you don't have to faff around to make a cup of tea. And there are chickens wandering around, goats, sheep and alpacas you can feed, and so many friendly people.
Thank you Jon and Sara for a wonderful holiday. We will be back.
