Well just been back to Bluebell farm for an extra couple of nights. The site is a little treasure.
There is one toilet each for male and female and horse rides are free, there is eight electric pitches and plenty of basic pitches.
Cannot wait till my next visit in August.
There are sheep, chickens and horses.
There are conifers after pitch 3 to give a little more privacy, two of the pitches are hard standing for caravans.

Well me and my family have just enjoyed a weekend away at bluebell farm its a quiet site away from the amusements.
The site owners are very friendly and are always there to help this is why we come back every year,
The site is basic with one toilet and sink for females and one toilet and sink for males.
There is a toilet in the ground for your disposable waste and a water tap for your drinking water, Two sinks are outside to wash your pots.
In the barn there is a fridge a kettle and microwave all free to use.
On the site itself there is a shop what sell horse gear and you will find horses in the field and chickens where you can purchase free range eggs which are yummy.
I like this site because it is safe and you know where your kids are. There is one entrance onto the site which is great.
I think this site is value for money as where can you find a site that charges 15.00 a night for a double pitch.

What a fantastic friendly site when we arrived we could not get our tent up due to really bad winds so we asked the owners (gill and graham) if we could use their static caravan for the night and they were more than happy to let us even helping us light the gas fire on the night time as we couldn't do it. Graham even went and got us some matches from his house. My two children loved it at this site with all the animals especially when gill let them stroke one of the horses. We will definitely be back next year love helen bell and family xx

My wife and I have just returned from this site after suffering some pretty bad weather but determined to make the most of the area. There are pluses and minuses of course to any site that largely depends upon ones experience and perception of what makes a 'good or bad' campsite. Usually it is a mixture of both and Bluebell farm is a good example.
On the plus side the location is pretty quiet. This may have been because not many people were actually there, but it is away from busy roads and the animals don't appear to be overly vocal.
The site has been previously described as uneven. This is true throughout the entire camping field but on the left side were the electric hook up points are it is a collection of humps, hollows and troughs. Not too good.
Campsite facilities I believe have been billed as 'basic'. This I suppose is where ones sense of expectation comes into play. The toilet/shower block and the 'food preparation'area are different to what I am accustomed.
The showers/toilets are in a porto type cabin with fencing panels nailed to it to hide its' age. If you are a very large man forget the showers, you wont be able to squeeze in past the door as it swings the wrong way. The skylight is still broken.(as mentioned in a May review) the shower is hot if cramped. There are just 4 small hooks to hang your stuff on so expect to put anything else on the deck.
The kitchen is in a shed. Because of what the kichen is housed in it is obviously a waste of effort cleaning it so they don't bother. If you wipe a tissue across the work surface as we did, it comes away black. Yummy.
The owners who we saw very little of are very cheery and I am sure they are very helpful and nice folks.

This was our first year camping so it was an experiment but very successful.
We booked late because we had to change our venue due to bad weather forecasting but found the owners very accommodating.
Slightly windy but very nice site in nice field. Although there was no playground this mattered little as the kids disappeared as soon as we arrived and we hardly saw them all week. They were kept busy with the animals, horse riding, etc and had a whale of a time.
We were amazed at the stunning beaches which were often quiet although the weather was beautiful and there was plenty to do in the area around. Useful little shop and kitchen area.
The only downside to this site was the state of the toilet and shower block. It was really too small for the amount of people on the site, giving one toilet and one shower for the ladies and I presumed the same for the men and they were clean but not in good condition. We understood that they were about to be refurbished for next year which is good news. Even so, the kids are begging to go back so they must have enjoyed it!
Lovely owners and extremely friendly and helpful and they helped to make our first camping experience a success.

I stayed at this site for two nights with a few friends. The site was great because we were a group of 20yr olds and I know how hard it is to find a campsite that accepts a group of young people. This did put a few doubts in my mind as to weather or not the campsite would be very loud, but it wasn't we didn't come across any disturbances which was fab.
The campsite was good as we came and went as we pleased, it wasn't too hard to find although it wasn't signed posted very well. What didn't help was that the road sign for 'Rectory Road' was half way down the street, we only found the place by luck.
Overall I would say that place came with two down falls, the showering facilities wern't great. There was one shower in both the gents and the ladies. The gents wern't very clean which put tow of my friends off. As for the ladies, you had to step onto a wet wooden floor which wasn't very appealing.
The other downfall was the number of wasps that were around! There must have bin a nest somewhere, which made enjoying a bbq or drink impossible.
Other than those two issues, I would definitely suggest this camsptie to others as it was very cheap, within a 15min drive to Skegness itself and in a really quite location.

This was the first time we had visited Blubell Farm, and were a bit dubious about a quiet place due to a 5 year old! We were not disappointed. It is very friendly as the other campers have said and very safe. We had a transit van( take so much stuff!)and there was no problem with that. The shower and toilets were suitable. We biked to the beach which was about 2 mile. Great location will definitely return(hopefully in not too big a van!)Love the back to basic style, carry on camping. X

Stayed on this site for 5 days during a visit to Skegness and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The owners Gill and Graham were a huge help from tuning in televisions to helping set up our tent.
During my stay, it was inevitable that I would have to use the toilets, on first inspection the toilets appeared very clean as Gill mentioned earlier on in the day she cleans them 3 times a day.
The only thing I didn't look forward to in the mornings was the showers as if someone turned a tap on the showers would go off.
Pros:
Cheap electricity £2.50 Per Night
Nice and Quiet
Lots of space between other pitches
Cons:
Showers
Uneven Pitches but I got used to it.
Although the current situation with the showers and toilets is not very good at the moment, Gill and Graham are hoping to get planning permission to erect a brick building to replace the current facilities.
There is also a wide range of animals on the campsite including horses, Chickens, Sheep etc.

Very friendly owners, were made to feel very welcome by the guest to that were looking after the horses, my husbands and girls even got to ride them. Anything we needed we only had to ask were very accommodating. Basic site but all that we needed. Only 1 thing we would criticise is the toilet and shower blocks there were only one each, wouldn't take much to bring up to scratch and maybe add a couple more. We will return next year though. Ps was my 13yr old jr dogs 1st camping holiday she loved it to.

Large camping area so large tents no problem however only one toilet and one shower per sex for whole site which isn't at all adequate and remember to take your own loo roll as there was none in toilet during most of visit. Showers very temperamental either very hot, very cold or stop completely. Website states that beach at end of lane, it is but about 2.5 miles away. The site was very noisy both nights we were there despite quiet is requested after 10.30pm we were kept awake till 2.30am on Sat by large group and till gone 1am on Sun by another large group. This woke the baby both nights so not much sleep for us. The food prep room was well supplied with appliances but right at front end of site so not very useful to those at far end. Nearest shop a car journey away or long trek and I could find no-one who would accept cards, was told the nearest place was Chapel a good 4 miles away.
