Good Stuff:
We've just stayed here for 5 nights and had a great time. The kids loved the small friendly site, with chickens, sheep and ponies. The kids even got free pony rides at night (weather permitting) The site is small enough to let the kids roam freely without losing them too often! The little on-site shop was very reasonably priced and offered a constant supply of ice pops and sweets. (Also sold milk, bacon, bread, eggs etc etc) The oweners were friendly and very helpful. There was a little barn with fridge/freezer/kettle/microwave - all free to use.
Bad Stuff:
There was only 1 toilet and 1 shower for each sex. This wasn't much of a problem when we arrived as it was quiet, but as we left at the beginning of the bank holiday weekend it was getting busier and the queues were starting. The toilets/showers were pretty grim too, sharing a shower with dead wasps/spiders/daddy long legs and a host of crawly things didn't bother me too much, but it would some people! How hard would it be for the owners to sweep out the cobwebs and dead stuff occasionally!? The ladies didn't smell too bad but I had a nosy in the gents and the smell was pretty awful.
The main problem was the hot water - or lack of it. If anyone washed any dishes at the 2 sinks when you were in the shower then the shower went cold and you had to stand there freezing til the water came back on again when the pot washers finished up. Such a shame cos this spoiled an otherwise very pleasant stay.
Overall I'd say this site is ideal for a short stay during quiet times, but would prefer something a little better for a fortnight. It was cheap and cheerful, and you got what you paid for.

What a fantastic place! We were able to take our own horses on holiday with us and fulfil by life long ambition to ride my horse on a beautiful sandy beach.
Facilities were minimal, but due to us having a caravan that didn't really matter to us. The fields for the horses were great and it was lovely to wake up to see my horse peering over the the fence asking for some breakfast.
A group of 13 of us went which included 4 kids and 4 dogs and we had a brilliant time and are returning this summer.
You are allowed to ride on the beach at Anderby before 9:00am and after 6pm, so after a nice hack out in the morning it was back to base for a cooked breakfast and a relaxing time watching the kids (including the men) play.
Can't wait to go back this year.

We were really looking forward to our stay but very disappointed with the toilet and shower as 1 toilet with a basin and 1 shower for men and same for the women. The flooring in the toilet and shower area was unhygienic as it was bare wood, when you stand to wash the pots which is at the mens side all you could smell was urine not very nice when you have just eaten. No hand wash provided or paper towels to dry your hands on. Not enough toilets for the amount of campers. Steps up to the toilet were a bit dodgy no hand rail and slippery for little ones when wet.
This site also lets groups on and one night it went a bit too far with the bad language and drinking into the early hours.
Kids loved watching the horses and sheep and chickens. The owners are very friendly we liked the fact we had the use of the freezer and fridge in the barn. The site was really peaceful late afternoon early evening.
The area is lovely Anderby Creek was fab, Skegness is not far from the site not cheap though so take plenty of cash we spent a small fortune entertaining the kids while weather wasn't great. Swimming pool at Chapel St Leonards behind the club was great for the kids. Shops in the villages are very expensive so we went to st leonards to the co-op. Mablethorpe has a good beach.
Butlins for the day cost £22.00 with a voucher from tourist info shop. The best part of the day was the pool absolutely loved it shows were not appreciated by the eldest who is 9 although my 6 year old liked it you still have to pay for certain rides inside but the fun fair wasn't all that great either.
Had a good meal one night in the Red Lion at Mumby but on our last night we got ripped off our meal was the same size as the kids but paid extra for it.
Would definitely go back to the area, would stay at Bluebell again if there were changes made to the toilets and showers etc I have to be honest.

Well what a fantastic place is bluebell farm. We arrived on Friday 3rd of July 2009. Me, my husband, 3 sons and our triplets, 29 mths old, oh and 4 other families joining us later in the day. The weather was great and Graham was too as he had fenced a part of the bottom field off for us so the children were safe.
The farm had everything you needed, from toilets, shower, kettle, fridge, freezer, and my saviour the microwave. For the triplets bottles. We stayed for the weekend and we visited the lovely beach at Anderby creek.
We loved it so much that were going back in a couple of weeks for a bit longer this time and we are planning another weekend break in August. Just would like to thank all the friends and family that went and made it a great first time experience! £10 a night its a bargain. And thanks to Gill for the free pony ride too!

Brilliant camp site
Accepted a group of 21 – 25 year olds
Allows BBQ’s and music (obviously of a reasonable level)
Anderby Creak is fab (turn left out of Bluebell - and follow signs) free parking and lovely scones. Plenty of sand for cricket, kite flying, football, sports in general.
Site owners lovely and friendly, showers fine, toilets fine, hut with lots of info re the area is very helpful. They also have a freezer, fridge and a kettle all at your disposal.
Sheep and hens on site make the best alarm clocks- so you don’t miss out on the day time, and the sun set is a wonderful show with marshmallows on sticks with a BBQ.
Get everything you need before pitching up as the local shop – a garage- closes early. There is a Spar in the nearby town – can’t remember the name, the helpful lady will tell you- but buy your eggs from the campsite. Much yummier!
The site lady was so helpful she helped us scurry around her shed to find wood for our BBQ fire at night – a refreshing change to find camp site owners that understand that us ‘youngsters’ enjoy the great outdoors just as much as anyone else, we also respect nature and other campers!
Lovely place.
Will visit again and would recommend to friends and family alike.

We initially booked for 2 nights. Welcome was nice from the owners. The field where we pitched was not sheltered at all, consequently we were contently worried out tent was going to blow away.
The toilet block was very basic, complete with cobwebs! Due to the weather we decided to only stay one night.
There were groups pitched further away, to which one guy asked them to tone it down. The next morning there was another 'discussion' which then was followed by the police arriving and escorting the man away.
The area is nice very flat and quiet. The site was not really our sort of site and wouldn't return.

Management response: Please note this site is now under new ownership and reviews prior to August 2014 relate to the previous owners (and the previous name Bluebell Farm Certificated Site) and many improvements have been made since, as you will see from up to date reviews. |

Bluebell Farm.Fantastic
What a fantastic site, just as all the other reviews say owners incredibly friendly and helpful, Graham even rang us up to tell us our tent was looking a bit suspect in the wind. Kids loved the freedom and being able to help with the animals, daughter is horse mad and was beside herself especially when Gill let her have a ride, (as she did for all the kids on the site!). Very peaceful and quiet, not the place to go if you like a clubhouse etc, toilet block is basic but clean and shower was lovely Plenty to do round and about from the hustle n bustle of Skeggy / ingoldmells etc to the fantastic beach down the road at anderby creek(check out the bizzare cafe / pub / shop for a pint in the beer garden after the beach),
A perfect family site, we will definitely be returning (daughter has insisted!)

This was our first camping trip as a family. I have been trying to convince my wife that we could go away on a budget and still have a good time.
Finally, after both of us reading every review for Bluebell Farm she agreed to give it a try.
We arrived and were met at the entrance and was shown an ideal position to set up our tent. The site was tidy (never saw any rubbish) There was plenty of room between the tents and caravans. Our son wanted to investigate straight away and soon found the Chickens, Sheep / Lambs and Ponies in the adjoining fields.
In the barn there was a fridge, a freezer and a kettle as well as loads of leaflets of the local attractions.
There was only one wc for men & one for ladies. However, I only needed to queue once and that was behind my son.
The people on the site were friendly, Whilst foot pumping up our airbeds we had an offer of an electric pump. We felt secure enough to give our son some freedom on the site and he made some friends. Even had an invite to see how the other half camp with a bottle of wine in a caravan.
Anderby Beach (less than 5min in car) was great.
If I had to pick faults, the only thing I could come up with would be the shower skylight needed to be fixed.
It was a great weekend and even convinced the wife to try it for a week in the Summer. We were so pleased with Bluebell Farm we tried to book an electric hook up for Aug. But they were already booked.
We will be back here again in the near future.

Brilliant site, we were first timers and we had a great time, the owners were friendly and welcoming. The site was very basic and a bit on the bumpy side but we managed. The site was quiet at night (great for sleeping) There's a great little beach (Anderby Creek), only two shops. Kid's loved it and so did my purse! Chapel's not too far and it's not to busy which was great!
Would definitely be going back next year

Absolutely great site. We stayed in the onsite static caravan, plenty of room basic but everything we needed there. We enjoyed it so much we ended up booking another two extra nights! Kids loved the freedom on the farm, feeding the chickens collecting fresh eggs, helping worm the sheep. In fact we had already been abroad earlier in year and they enjoyed the farm better. Close enough to do all usual holiday stuff if you want to or if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle you can just enjoy the country. Jill cant do enough to help. We definitely recommend it and will be coming back this year.
