Just had two weeks back at bluebell on our annual pilgrimage, not much has changed since last review apart from new owners have taken over the site, still a friendly welcome the new staff couldn't do enough to help asking if all OK. Showers were cold and kept cutting off as it was busy bank holiday a Que formed for wash facilities and toilets (take your own loo) but overall a good time was had, even if the weather tried its best to put us off. The owners have big plans for the future for this site and wish them the all the best for these, looking forward to next season.

We have just come back from a 3 night stay at bluebell farm. We had a fantastic time, the owners were extremely welcoming and all the staff very friendly. They have only had the site a few weeks and it's currently very basic, but they have big plans for it. It's a family friendly site and we had very quite nights, just some very early starts due to some other guests. Would totally recommend this site to anyone, it's so close to some fantastic beaches and lovely villages. One of

The best sites we have been to and very reasonably priced too. We will

Be back next year to see all the fantastic changes. Good luck with future plans. And thank you x

Once again it was time for our holidays, so as same as the last 3 years we went to bluebell farm. Which had new owners. Well they made us so welcome & showed us to our pitch. Then the sunday we went out to do some shopping, as we got back on the site 5 tents had been blown down including ours, the owner was running round try to fix all tents, he walks round late at night to make sure everything is ok. Very helpful couple, they are replacing shower and toilet block in oct this year. Its safe for kids to run around and play. Easy access to Skegness & mablethorpe. Best wishes to the owners for the future, and we will see you next year.

This was our first real family holiday and we had not been camping since being kids ourselves. But right from the first phone call to the the site the owners(John &Sarah) were very helpful to us and explained everything we needed to know. On the day we arrived John greeted us and was on hand straight away to get us pitch up. First thing you noticed was how clean the site was despite the recent bad weather. John told us from the start if we had any problems just to knock on his front door. He allowed us to use his site office to charge phone and was also willing to let us use his own washing machine. He was always on site and got involved in helping fellow campers with there tents. When you got speaking to the other ppl on the site they had nothing but good things to say about John, Sarah and the site. My kids had the time of their lives and loved the horses, rabbits, dogs and kittens. I know some people have moaned about the showers but they were all told upon booking the site by John or Sarah. I cant complain because my kids thought it was funny when mummy and daddy jumped out the shower. But again the shower and toilets were spotless. I myself can't fault the location as it is in the middle of everything. The owners are always walking around the site to check everyone is ok. So from Me, Nikki, Alfie, Trinity and Austin we wish John and Sarah all the best and we look forward to seeing you at Halloween. Thank you for a great time.

The position of the site is perfect- close to the beach at Anderby and close to Mablethorpe and Skegness.

The pitch (although hard standing) was uneven and the awning area a lot higher than the hard standing area- not helpful if you have an awning!

For a smaller tent the pitch size would be reasonable but there was not enough room between us and our neighbour- if one of us wanted to park the car that side- it wouldn't have fitted in the space. I raised this with the manager who dismissed my concerns.

The grass was long and uncut.

The showers- if anybody runs hot water anywhere from the toilet block (inc the washing up sinks) then the hot water stops in the showers- not nice for adults let alone children.

Washing up sinks- they are not under cover and you'll need to unblock it before you use it-nice!

Toilet facilities- whilst they were cleaned regularly, one men's toilet and one shower and 2 ladies loos and one shower was nowhere enough for the number of pitches sold. Some temporary toilets were on site but these were revolting.

The elsan point was a sunken toilet just outside the men's toilet door- this was not signed and easily accessible by children.

The majority of other campers were considerate but there was a group of younger campers who caused disturbance. I tried to get the managers attention on 4 occasions earlier in the evening but he failed to answer his door. Not surprisingly, damage and significant disturbance had been caused by the time he made an appearance.

The rule about dogs being on leads at all times applies to all campers but not the owners themselves- two large dogs hurtling down the site.

The site was advertised as a working farm and this is not the case- they have a few horses and that is all. We were expecting a small site and whilst there were 5 caravan spaces, be warned, there was in excess of 50 tents- not what I would call a 'small countryside site' and certainly not a small camping and caravanning club certified site.

The above summarises why we were so disappointed in our choice of holiday site.

After spending 3 nights here words can't describe how disappointed I am with the facilities on this site, or lack of them. If I had know before I went there is no way I would have booked. Despite the location being beautiful the facilities played a huge part in our camping experience. The toilets / shower block are the worse I have experienced by a clear mile. It was quite literally a porta-cabin with bits of wood falling off decked out with mdf with two toilets crammed in and a shower. The toilet seats didn't fit the toilets and the ceilings were full of cobwebs and dead flies. There was no hand wash or hand drying facilities and on Sunday morning up until us leaving at 12 no toilet roll! The shower did its job although the wooden bathmat was covered in what looked to be mould and a good coating of grass and mud. The pot washing area was just two sinks attached to the toilet block which again were dirty and there was no canopy over them so your exposed to all elements.

When we got to the site they had experienced a lot of rain so the site was boggy but made worse by the fact the grass was really quite long so it was struggling to dry out.

On the Friday night I was woken up at 1 in the morning by two tents based in another field on the site playing loud dance music! The following morning at 10 they again put it back on so everyone had no choice but to listen to it. To say everyone on the site was annoyed was an understatement. I complained to the warden who told me music throughout the day was ok, to which I admitted yes it was but not when everyone on the site had to listen to it. I was told well you have to understand there young! Not sure if that's the case then why they advertise it as a family site if that's the people they want to attract.

The good part of the site is that it was in a lovely location with beautiful views and it was peaceful all except the hick up that we all had to experience!

Down the road a couple of miles is a brilliant pub called the axe and cleaver who serve delicious meals are reasonable prices.

The site needs a huge tidy up especially the entrance as it looks untidy verging on scruffy and the toilets need a huge overhaul. Grass cutting needs to be done more often with much more focus on general maintenance. This site has got the ability to be excellent but a whole load of work needs to go into it first!

Bear in mind I paid £22 a pitch so it was hugely overpriced for what we received.

This was our first time here but certainly not our last. It was brilliant a lot to do near by plenty of beaches that were very quiet and the sea was very clean and clear.

The owners can't do enough for you very polite and helpful and even if they are not around you get there mobile phone number if you need them. Pitches are very spacious we had loads of room and we had a 12 man tent.

Great for the kids and thanks to everyone that was there 21st 22nd and 23rd you were all very friendly and the kids played brilliant together no falling out or anything all made to a chilled out relaxed break definitely be going back soon thanks again Andy Rachel and kids

Just had 14 days here as per usual had a fantastic time weather hot and sunny, site was busy so glad we took our toilet tent would advise it if going at peak times. Showers/toilets are basic and regularly cleaned. The cost of staying is also a basic price a good family site our granddaughter enjoyed making new friends and the freedom of the site. Owners are friendly and approachable if any problem arises, would recommend the axe and cleaver pub very good value meals reasonably priced, will be back soon.

Really enjoyed our stay. Originally had booked for 3 nights but decided to stay a fourth night. Lovely location working farm and to see all the animals was a delight the owner was more than happy to introduce us to them. Little shop on site which surprisingly sold quite a few necessities. Camping items. Sweets at reasonable prices, playing cards and ice pops which we really did need as the weather was glorious.

Only downfall was the toilet block. It was basically a portacabin. The steps to the loo felt like they were going to snap when you stood on them due to rot. The shower kept going off every time someone used the water/ toilet and there was nothing to dry your hands on. But they were clean.

There was a pub nearby which we didn't get the chance to try. Skegness city centre was about 9 mile away but a bus stopped nearby so you didn't always need to use the car. Lovely quiet beach nearby.

All in all I really enjoyed it. The owners were friendly. No strict rules as long as we were considerate to other campers that's all that mattered. Great atmosphere and for a small donation they would charge your electric items up. Will be visiting again!
