Check in was quick and straightforward. The location of the site is excellent and within walking distance to the lovely beach where you can go fossil hunting or walk along the cliffs.
It's also within walking distance to Charmouth where there are a couple of nice pubs, bakery, supermarket and few shops.
The toilet and shower block was kept clean and tidy which was reassuring with the current Covid situation. It's a nice quiet, well kept site.
My only negative point about the site is that the reception could be more friendly, but this would not stop me returning.
It's a great site and would recommend to others.

Very good clean and well run site.
I would recommend it to any one in a lovely position near the town which is within walking distance.
Also it is a very well drained site in heavy rain.

Great location with a few minutes walk to the shingly/pebbly beach.
River runs down the side of site so those with young children would have to consider this.
Cant comment on the facilities as they were closed, or certainly the toilet/showers.
Level grass and hard standing pitches so you might need your rock pegs and a metal hammer.
Small shop at reception with a fish and chip van and a pizza van visiting on some nights (not used).
Lovely coastline down there with some lovely towns and villages nearby.
Charmouth is a pleasant place with some pubs, small supermarket (NISA in village and Spar at nearby Newlands site next door, fish and chip shop, cafe etc.
Definitely will be going back.

Seadown is a large site with a new toilet block (not open due to the virus) two washing rooms and a chemical disposal room. Shop selling various goods. The Staff are very friendly Especially Laza and Terry.
Its 3 minutes to the Charmouth beach and there is a river that is blocked off from the sea by stones so the children jump off the small bridge into the river, its safe there. it a couple of shops including a cafe
The town of charmouth is a 5 minute walk from the caravan park, two pubs Royal Oak and the George I liked the Royal Oak staff very friendly good beer.
There is a caravan shop and a nisa.
While we were there we went to West bay and Bridport, Lyme Regis by bus and Weymouth by car.
On site on a Sunday and Wednesday there is a fish and Chip van and a pizza van on a thursday
I would use this site again and give it top marks.

Lovely clean, well kept site, large pitches, mainly flat, friendly and helpful staff, unfortunately shower blocks are closed but we knew before we arrived so our own choice.
Beautiful location, beach 5 minutes walk, village 5 minutes in the opposite direction. Bus stop in village.

This is a lovely site, nice big pitches, beautifully maintained.
The only downside to this site was the service on the front desk. I avoid the shop preferring to go the local shop.
We have stayed here several times over the past 3 years and would return again.

Lovely site with excellent facilities. Grass and hard standing pitches all of a good size.
On site shop selling some food items and a few camping accessories.
Playing field with various pieces of sports equipment and plenty of room for the children to kick a ball around and let of steam.
There is a stream at the edge of the site where you can fish or just sit and relax. Follow this down through some more fields (all kept close mown) to the car park and beach where you can visit the Charmouth Heritage Centre or even try to find your very own fossils.
Charmouth is a few minutes walk from the site with its two pubs or you can catch a bus just outside the site entrance to nearby Lyme Regis.

We’ve been wanting to visit Charmouth for a long time and finally booked into Seadown for a weekend break.
Upon arrival the ladies in reception were very helpful and directed us to our pitch which was large and easy to level up on. All touring pitches appear to be in close proximity to the facilities block which was clean, warm and very well equipped. Washing up sinks were indoors which is always a bonus out of season!
There is easy walking both on and off of the site for dogs and of course easy access to the SW coast path if you enjoy a longer walk. We made use of the takeaway in the village and there are also a number of pubs and café’s to suite all tastes. The village shop was well stocked and there are also a couple of gift shops to pick up any souvenirs to take home.
The site is a mixture of static vans and touring pitches and appeared to be well kept and looked after.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here, and will be back for a bit more fossil hunting in the future!

We had a really enjoyable stop for 3 nights over a long weekend of changeable weather in October.
Check-in was efficient but not overly friendly. The site is well kept and easy to level up on the gravel pitch we stayed on. As you'd expect, the gravel pitches were well drained for the wet weather. The facilities were kept clean and warm.
The location is excellent, with the beach and coast path running at the boundaries. And a short stroll in to the few shops/café/bakery/pubs Charmouth has to offer. It's also a few miles stroll over the hill to walk to Lyme Regis.
We'd happily return here for quiet out of season trips in future.
