Arrived to reception and was given a business like greeting and handed a plan showing our pitch and a card with a list of rules including a diagram of how we should pitch with caravan with drawbar out at one end with car at the other end. No problem with rules if they apply to everyone which in this case they don't.
Set up and within in minutes got talking to our neighbours a very nice couple who said they were regulars and the site was great and I must admit we were very impressed.
Beach at one end of site and lovely village at the other with 2 pubs cafe chippy and buses to Weymouth and other places including the beautiful Lyme Regis ah Paradise - for two nights.
On the third day arrived several families in four large tents opposite and to the side, not in the configuration I was told I must adhere too, who thought the strict rules handed to them were for other mugs like us.
Ball games? why bother walking to to the playground 45 secs away to play football on Wembley like turf when you can use the service road tarmac and fellow campers caravans and awnings as goals. This included tennis and badmington on tarmac and throwing of a large foam rubber dart on my car. A bit like the Olympics in miniature.
On the second day they partied all day playing a guitar and singing until 12 midnight when on the ' strict' rules card it says no noise after 10. 30 from musical instruments or CD players etc. Next morning it looked liked Glastonbury with cans bottles and food lying about much to the glee of the local gull population.
Eventually on the third day something was said by the warden and they tidied up and the next night they were quiet as church mice by day but continued to play ball games.
Our neighbours were very disappointed in the mess and the noise as we were and said it was the first time it had happened and I believe it probably was but the management should have acted earlier.
Other than the above the site would have got 100% from me and my wife as there were other families with children on site who acted responsibly and took advantage of the superb facilities on site.

This caravan site is the best site we have ever been to. We have been 8 times over the last 5 years and my fiancé even proposed to me here.
The facilities are amazing, you could eat your dinner off the toilet floor if you wanted to. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The pitches are of a good size and everyone who uses this site are really friendly, we have made countless friends here.
The views are outstanding and so is the fossil hunting. The walks on the beach take your breath away and keep you busy looking for fossils for hours. The local pub serves really good food, local ales and is dog friendly.
I would recommend this site to anyone and everyone no matter what time of year it is. The prices are amazing to! Lyme Regis only 2 miles down the road is amazing to with a lovely harbour!

The site was really full when we arrived and the pitches quite close together, which usually puts us off but everyone, including the staff, were very friendly and the whole atmosphere of the site was welcoming. The facilities were excellent, clean and well-looked after. The close proximity to the sea was great, a lovely walk to the beach along a river although the beach was restricted for dogs at certain times. However, the walks over the headland were beautiful and the little town is just 5 minutes away with some nice shops. Through the town there are again some nice walks; the reception staff were very helpful with information about this. The play area for children-and adults!- was imaginative and of a very good size. The fees cover everything, no extra costs for dogs and awnings and were more than reasonable. We intend to return, although perhaps at a quieter time!

What a fabulous site this is. It was clean & friendly. The facilities where immaculate, we were given keys for it so it was really looked after,& if you didn't have keys you didn't get in.
The parks play area had skittles, table tennis, badminton, tennis & football.
The girls running the reception were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble for them.
Another bonus was the fact that we could use the entertainment building of the site across the road, which was very nicely situated just inside their gate.
The site was also just a lovely walk away from the beach, which given the nice weather we had was another bonus.
Will definitely go back to this site next year

Visited this site for a week, but wish it would of been longer! What a lovely site. Our pitch was plenty big enough for our caravan, awning car and badminton set!The site is in a lovely location of charmouth which holds 2 local pubs and local shops. (Tesco, Morrissons 8 miles away) there is a market on Monday which is well worth a visit. The toilet block is excellent, always clean and free showers! Laundry facilities available
The beach is gorgeous, ( only 3 mins walk away )especially the west beach. (unfortunately dogs not allowed ) east beach is just as nice and dogs are allowed between certain times. The charmouth heritage centre is worth a visit.
There is a playing field which includes a tennis area, badminton, skittles and table tennis. Also river fishing ( never saw any fish though)
Lyme Regis is lovely for a days visit and also west bay. We will definitely be going back

Was a bit nervous about the idea of the fairground on site, but we camped right at the end of the campsite in the bend of the river. We set up the awning, met our neighbours on one side which were a good distance from us, the neighbours on the other side being too far away to meet. It was great to be able to pay one day at a time, and the guy who collected was really friendly.
The showers and toilet cabins looked dubious from the outside, but inside were fantastic and always clean with no queues.
Only a five minute walk to the harbour, and we had fish and chips from a stall one night (fantastic) and my birthday dinner in a hotel called the Bridport Arms (I think) which was fantastic food.
We'll return there again.

This was our 2nd visit to Seadown. We were allocated pitch 9 on arrival which was unfortunately sloping quite a bit. We needed stack pads and our wheel leveller and our jockey wheel was extended as far as it could go! And yes the width of the pitches are a little tight. But, other than these minor gripes this site represents really good value for money during peak season at £18 per night for 2 inc EHU, awning and 2 dogs.
The village is only a 10 min walk away and has 2 pubs, a convenience store, cafe, butchers and a chippy.
The washblock was always clean. There were 3 showers in the Ladies - 2 quite large cubicles and 1 smaller cubicle. I think there were 5 toilets and 2 privacy cubicles. Free and plenty of hot water and temperature adjustable too. You do pay a £5 refundable deposit for a key to the washblock.
West Bay and Bridport are about a 20 min drive and if you travel a little further it's not far to go into Sidmouth.
We will re-visit.

The location for this site is excellent being only a short walk across the park field to the beach. Some sandy areas on the beach, a river running across and virtually no commercialisation. Drinks and basic food is available as are toilets and heritage centre.
Dogs allowed on parts of the beach during certain hours and the field provides ample space for children or dogs although it is alongside an open river. A small playground is also provided.
The village provides a few shops and eating out facilities. This is only a slightly longer walk.
We found the park itself disappointing. The reception on arrival was very poor. 3 staff present - no one spoke and when the paperwork was handed over the words spoken were few and curt.It made me feel like I was seen as a potential troublemaker!
We found the pitches small. Just enough room for caravan, awning, car if space carefully utilised. No space then between our car and the next caravan and all highly regimented.
A key is provided on deposit for the toilet block.I see no point to this arrangement as everyone has one and I wonder how many times that key has been taken to the toilet by others!
Toilet/showers were well kept but fairly few.
We enjoyed the location but not the site and left early.

We have visited this site a number of times, as we find it the best site for us. It is a quiet, family site, with play facilities for children, and ideally situated very close to the beach.
Showers are excellent, washing facilities, hair dryers, power sockets, washing up facilities, couldn't be bettered. The site is clean and well kept.
The only disadvantage to this site is it's popularity, so it needs to be booked early.

As per previous comments a great site, quiet and clean with a shop, laundry, dish washing facilities etc.
The location is ideal, 5 minutes walk to the beach and a heritage centre, and 5 mins walk to the tiny village which has a lovely deli (Ida's) and a couple of other shops, 2 pubs (both accept kids & dogs). Pitches are a good size, mainly grass, and open with no hedging in between and no sea views.
We will definitely go back if we are in the area!
