Lovely clean well maintained site, with top notch facilities, red hot showers 20p for a good 10 minute, you also need 20p for the hairdryers, toilets spotless,
Can’t fault the site at all,
The lady in reception was lovely, we didn’t get to meet the wardens this visit,
The site is great for a stop over as it’s not to far off the motorway, the outlet shopping centre is dog friendly so you can take your pooches in most of the shops, only one of the cafes is dog friendly.

Easy access from motorway, makes a good stopover.
Very clean facilities but I paid £56 for 2 nights and then had to pay an extra 20p for a shower same to use hairdryer.
Facilities that I used were a bit dated although there are two blocks on site I can only comment on one.
Owners helpful when I asked for another more level pitch for my motor home.
Shops and takeaway food within walking distance.
I walked down to the Solway beach with dog that took about half an hour to get there.

Fine for an overnight stay as we were travelling in stages. Not a site where I'd stay for longer than a night.
We were shoe horned into the top corner of the site right by someone's house (separated by a high fence but their dog could stick its nose under and yap at our dogs) fortunately we have a motor mover fitted or we'd never have got in.
Site and facilities were very clean site managers were friendly.

We stayed one night on our way up through Scotland, the site was very tidy and very clean.
Impressed with the fact there were dog waste bins everywhere.
The site was well presented with flower displays everywhere, and well trimmed grass.
We only used the motorhome service point, so cannot comment on the other facilities.
So impressed with the site we are booked in for a 3 night stay on our way back down Scotland on our way home.

Nice site with decent facilities.
Friendly owners.
Would use again as a stop over.
As for Gretna itself as a place…. Do not bother! Not great at all.

What an excellent few days staying at Braids, made all the better with superb weather. The site is easy to find and is well situated at the top end of town.
There are a few hotels and some local takeaway food shops. We opted for the Gretna Inn, nearby the outlet village (worth a visit for the bargain hunters). The Inn offered decent priced food and a fine range of beers.
Our caravan pitch was well situated to the showers and toilets - both very clean and well equipped.
Staff were very friendly and available to resolve any issues for those staying over.
Managed to spot a famous personality on site, .
Well worth a visit, we will come back again.

Stayed here before, and like the first time, we were not disappointed with the site.
Site was clean and Peaceful close to amenities.
Owners friendly and greet you on arrival to explain the Dos and don'ts, not many don'ts I might add.
If driving up to Scotland this is a good stop off point to chill and relax.

Friendly owner who took a last minute booking over the phone while I was returning home from S. England with a new to me caravan. I was heading to ferry in Scotland and realised I was not going to make it as weather was terrible.
Trying to catch a site still open was very difficult and when I phoned Braids it was the owner himself who answered and told me he would take me as a V late check in once I explained my situation.
I checked in late and was gone early, owner met me on arrival and showed me to a handy site as I did not want to disturb people with my odd hours.
Site had lots of long terms as far as I could see and even though out of season at least a few other guests.
Handy site to village, Good clean toilet and shower block with a great hot shower (cost extra but very little and lasted longer than I needed)
Most importantly it was open when I needed it (out of season) and was tidy with a good facility block that was heated and with a good shower.
Handy to main route for me BUT far enough off it to be quiet. Same for distance to shops in village.
I cant really comment to Child Friendliness so have gave N/A
