Very handy for the motorway. Pub/restaurant within walking distance. Very clean facilities with also a wash-up area.
Very friendly reception offered to wait for us if we arrived late (we didn’t)
Very good size hardstanding pitch although those little bits of loose grit needed sweeping out of the motorhome before I walked about in my socks!
Value for money marked down because for a one night quick stopover we never make full use of facilities and still pay as much per night as those staying a week - same everywhere though.

Nice quiet stay and plenty in area to do and explore. Pitches were quite private and adequate sized.
Staff were very helpful and courteous. Good facilities and grounds were kept very tide.
I hope to revisit next year and spend a little longer there.
Very satisfied with choice of site and I had a really good holiday

This site was brilliant. We really enjoyed our stay. The site was clean and very friendly
We had a problem with our wardrobe door and Tim went out of his way to help us resolve it
The location was great plenty of tourist attractions nearby
Had a meal in the hotel next door on our last evening and that was fantastic
Would definitely visit the site again if in the area

This site was ideally located for a wedding we were attending at Gretna. We were easy within walking distance of the Anvil, a Coop and a chip shop
The site was very clean, well maintained and everything was accessible, you are provided with a key, so everything feels very secure and safe.
The wardens were helpful and friendly.
The only issue for us was the lack of a dog walking area, which wont be an issue to everyone who stays.
The Braids is in the middle of a residential area so the only walks were around streets or along the main road.
You need a 20p coin for the shower, which caught us out on the first night.

Just back from a two night break at this lovely site.
Toilets block were very clean and showers were very good, well worth the 20p.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Easy walk to the Outlet village and the local bars.

A very clean and tidy site. All the facilities were spotless clean. Shower is 20p with loads of hot water.
The pitch we were allocated was hard standing but not level. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A book and dvd exchange in a well equipped information hut.
The only downside for us was the location. It is situated in a housing estate with no real country side around.
There was not any nice walking area nearby. We had a large motorhome so did not wish to drive around. Anyone with a caravan can visit some of the tourists places nearby.
There is a bar next door and take aways are not too far away.
There is quite a bit of consistent road noise.

Many things to recommend this site.
Brilliantly situated, couple of minutes from the motorway.
Designer outlet within walking distance. Small supermarket minutes away.
We loved the huge number of Rabbits around the site!

We have just bought our caravan in the past year. We decided to tour around the Dumfries Galloway area. We checked the reviews on Braids caravan site near Gretna.
First class, can’t find any fault with this site. I will certainly visit Braids again. Everything you need for a nice quiet chilled out experience.
Facilities excellent, staff very polite and will go the extra mile to help out on any problems you may have.
There are quite a few permanent caravans on site, it is obvious this has become a popular location and it is through the hard work that has been put into keeping this site at a very high standard, clean tidy everything works and attention to detail is obvious.
We spent three nights at Braids and moved to another caravan site. This site was nowhere near Braids standard. If I had known and an expensive caravan site by the way, it certainly was not worth the money. I would have stayed at Braids.
I would like to thank them for a great relaxing 3 day stay. Good luck for the future.
