Basic site. Not recommended for kids. Toilets and site kept clean and tidy. It is a nice site for two or three nights but no longer. Found all the other caravanner's friendly and helpful. Nice hotel next to the site which was very nice. Town got a bit rowdy at night. Good to see a few weddings taking place. We were amazed at just how quick it took for a couple to tie the knot. Gretna is a nice town to visit over a weekend, the Sunday market was great for a walk round, just down the road as well. Nice site for a long weekend if you have no kids.

Very nice stopover site although a little tired in places. Little wooden fences separated the pitches which had white tape wrapped round them but pitches were fair size. Would be better as a non dog site as you only have the choice of walking the main road or getting in the car and searching. The hotel next door had a late party but this was not too loud . Staff were friendly and helpful.

This site is not for a long stay, but ideal for a few days stopover. A 10 minute walk to the outlet center or to Gretna Green. The shops, supermarket and chip shop are only 5 minutes walk. The Toilets and showers were clean and usable, but you need a couple of 20p coins to use the showers. Ample for a good hot shower. There are a few hotels within easy walking distance that serve good food and drinks. The nearest one is adjacent to the site. The good news for me was that I could use my bus pass on the regular bus service between Carlisle and Dumfries via Annan. The bus stop is just outside the site, or you can catch it at the outlet center.

This is a clean and practical site. We were able to prepare ourselves and 3 children for a wedding. The facilities are in good order and clean.
This is a practical well run site to use as a base to access the surrounding area, security seems very good and the staff there helpful and thoughtful.
There is no play area for children and it is not a site for a long family holiday with young children but we needed a short stay and the site was more than adequate.

Stayed here for one night as a stop over on our way south
Very helpful staff and toilet block was nice and clean, although access was limited as there was work being done to the drains
Easy walk into Gretna for shops and outlet village and plenty of pubs/hotels for food and drink
Only complaint was the traffic noise all through the night from the M74 - although a fair distance away I reckon the wind was blowing the noise over the site
A few Jack Daniel's soon had us sleeping though !
Would be happy to use as a stop over but a wee bit cramped for a longer break

The site was very easy to find and very conveniently situated for attending our friends wedding in Gretna Green. As it was a very busy time and they were quite full, we were allocated a pitch. It was very tight (as it seemed were most of the pitches), If you are going to this site and have a longish van I would warn them first as they got all stressed when they saw our 16 foot van, I am glad we didn't have anything larger!, however there was a very nice man there who went up to the pitch with us and helped us park up.
There are a lot of Dutch people on this site, not a problem in itself! however they all have vans with the door on the other side! So you may find yourself sharing the already smallish gap between your vans with someone else!
A good proportion of the site is permanent lets so these areas are quite tatty looking but the grassy touring area is all nicely kept.
They could do with a bit of lighting onsite at night, we returned from the wedding at 11.45pm and as we had no torch had trouble seeing where we were going.
The toilet waste disposal point was just a toilet! maybe they could at least have a shute built around it? The showers took 20p's and 40p gives you plenty of time, 20p for the hairdryers too. The toilets and showers we very clean.
We stayed for three nights although this seems to be a very transient site with many people using it as a stopover, with lots of comings and goings. This site is fine for a one or two night stopover but I don't think that I would actually 'holiday' here. However I don't wish to be negative as the owners and staff were very helpful and there were only a couple of things that could be improved upon.

We stayed in this site for our wedding in Gretna Green although we did staying in the Bridal suite in the hotel next door for our weeding night!
It is perfectly located close to the motorway but quiet. There are shops etc within walking distance. The hotel next door does very nice food.
The owners are very helpful and friendly.
Would defiantly recommend and will book for our wedding anniversary next year!

We stayed here for 2 nights over bank holiday weekend.
Entry to the site is by a controlled access barrier which you are given a swipe card for. The site was very clean and grassy areas were kept trim. Plenty rabbits running around.
We chose a hard standing pitch and found it to be a well adequate size. Hot showers are 20p and the water ran long enough to have a good shower.
Site fees were very reasonable at £14 per night with EHU.
Dogs are no extra cost. All dogs must be walked offsite.
There is no shop onsite but local supermarket, bookies, fish and chip shop, chinese takeaway, bingo hall are all within half mile walk. Gretna oulet village a little further away.
There is a hotel next door to campsite that does bar meals. Gretna social club is very handy, a 2min walk across the road for those wanting a night out.
The site owners were friendly. We will return to this site again.

We stayed for 4 nights and thought the site was pleasant. The shower block is separate from the toilet block, both were warm and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There isn't a dog walk but I found a nice place were ours could be let of the lead for a good run about 5 mins walk from the site beside the Solway Firth. There is a selection of shops close to the site. The bus to Carlisle stopped just outside of the site and ran frequently. There were lots of information leaflets available in the office and I noticed a UKCS sticker in the window. A nice base to tour from or as a stopover, there was a wedding party in the caravan next to ours, the hotel next door to the site does lots of weddings so the site would be ideal for guests who own a tourer.
