Lovely site ample space for all units at this time.
Facilities are good and well maintained.
There was only one drawback, if you have any difficulty walking, I am disabled, then perhaps this is not the site for you.
The hill at the site entrance is far too steep to negotiate without transport really destroying plans to use the bus to visit places of interest

Having driven past this site hundreds of times when visiting family, we decided to use it after meeting up with friends in the area.
After a very brief welcome ("you are on that pitch there; see you later") we parked on the grass, walked to the bottom of the field, gained access to the coast path and had a very pleasant wander around the town and harbour.
On arriving back at the site, there were still people waiting at reception to discover where they were supposed to park.
The shower blocks were very dated, but spotlessly clean and the views over Cardigan Bay and the sunset were nice. However, when that westerly wind started blowing, there was no shelter form it at all.
All in all, a bit uninspiring and we wouldn't revisit.

Excellent campsite. Clean, spacious, and level. Toilets, showers, washing-up facility all spotlessly clean.
Right by the ocean, but not a bathing beach as it is rocky.
Good for watching sunsets though. The USP of this site though is that it is a very easy, level, 10 minutes walk to the charming town of Aberaeron which is full of places to eat and drink.
Bus stops near the entrance to the site enable you to catch a bus to Newquay or Llanon and do beautiful coastal walks back to the site.
You can also catch a bus to the national trust property of Llanerchaeron and do a pretty riverside walk back into town.

Two huge camping fields with generous pitches around the perimeter.
Access from bottom of both fields to sea and coastal path.
Aberaeron with its colourful houses 5 min walk along coastal path. Interesting tidal harbour with loads of restaurants overlooking it.
We canoed every day, cycled to NT Llanerchaeron (although it is walking distance) and walked 6 miles along the coastal path to New Quay (should have cycled but it’s very hilly) and got the hourly bus back!
Only 3 showers each in mens and in ladies however we never queued and only once was someone waiting. I suspect because of the coastal location their use is spread throughout the day.
No laundry facilities.
No children’s playpark but the huge open field gives loads of space for all the children on site to play with each other. Crabbing at the harbour seems popular and everyone heads for the sea at high tide.
We have had exceptionally good weather and tremendous sunsets.
Lots of people use this site regularly with many meeting up with fellow campers from previous years. Some have been coming for 10 years.
If we lived nearer we would certainly return.

This site is well organised by friendly staff. You need to book in advance and choose your pitch number when you book. As we'd never been before I wasn't sure which one to choose, but the gentleman on the phone gave me sound advice and we were happy with his recommendation.
The site is in a good location right next to the Wales Coast Path so you have easy access for long or short walks in 2 directions, with or without a dog.
It also makes for a pleasant short walk into Aberaeron. We were very pleasantly surprised by the excellent places to eat and drink around the pretty harbour, as well as the variety of individual shops.
The adjacent beach made up of large stones isn't one you'd want to spend the day on, although we watched a couple of beautiful sunsets from there with other campers, just outside the campsite's gate.
The only downside was the toilet and shower block, which wasn't as clean as we would have liked. Also, the poor layout meant that if anyone was coming out of one of the toilets you had to wait for them to pass before you could go into the building, but that was a minor thing, really.
The couple in the van next to us said they had been going to this site for many years and we could see why.
We'll be returning because of its great location.

We really enjoyed our visit to Drefnywedd.
The pitches are generous and the toilet/ shower facilities were clean and adequate.
The site has no playgrounds or other facilities so it was peaceful and everyone was friendly and helpful.
There is good access to the seafront and it’s a five to ten minute walk to the town centre where there are lovely restaurants, take aways and pubs.
Well worth a visit,
Flat grass pitches which are in well drained and the grass was short and well maintained.
We will be back.

A stunning location with stunning views.
Two large fields for tourers both with direct access to the coastal path and pebbled beach. Also a narrow dog path leads to the coastal path, and a five minute stroll along it brings you into Aberaeron, a lovely picturesque village.
Numerous shops, pubs and eateries.
25 minute drive to Aberystwyth, which was well worth it.
Five minute drive south is a large Nisa local, but Aberaeron costcutter is probably larger and has everything.
Ten minute drive south to New Quay, which is equally as picturesque
Would highly recommend Drefneywdd Farm and return

Beautiful site 100 yard from sea, 10 min walk to town and the hill behind had plenty red kite circling.
Unfortunately we could only 4 nights as the wife went down with COVID.
Love to go back again.

Came for 2 nights, stayed for 3. Really enjoyed our stay, parked with a view over the coastal path and the sea.
Flat grass pitches, tad windy but we parked facing it and slept well. Friendly owner, easy going, reasonable fees.
10 min walk to town with lots of pubs, shops and restaurants. Ate Sunday lunch at The Cellar, top quality, highly recommended.
Cost Cutter supermarket a decent size, a little more expensive than out of town ones but everything we needed.
Parkrun at nearby Llanerchaeron if you fancy a run or walk on Sat morning.
We'll be back. 👍
