Absolutely lovely campsite, dog friendly, spotlessly clean.

Lovely campsite, right at the side of the sea which can’t be seen from the site but access is direct from site.
Facilities spotless. Plenty of bins near each pitch. Loads of room, no one is cramped in. The walk into Aberearon is short and we liked the place, there is a small harbour, loads of eateries etc.
Easy to find off the main road. Really liked this site and will visit again if in the area.

Motorhome, Awning, Car, 2Adults, 2 Children and 1 dog £25 p/n
Just returned
Great campsite, not an all singing dancing one. One I would call basic but good
The site has 2 big fields with tents, caravans and motorhomes side by side.
The pitches have no hedges ECT to divide but that doesn't seem to be a problem. We had a motorhome, awning and a car at the side, plenty of room.
Each pitch as it's own dustbin, which is emptied every couple of days.
It does have a chain fence with a little barbed wire to separate the two fields but that was no problem.
Easy access to path to Aberearon 10 minute stroll, easy walk.
Even from the site entrance pavement walk into Aberearon.
Access from main road is a little steep, going out but ok
Facilities.
Ladies block. 3 loos, 3 sinks, 3 one temperature push button showers. Not too hot, not too cold. Loads of elbow room and drying area no clothes getting wet. May need updating but didn't stop us from using them. Not heated,
Pot washing, Outside but overhead shelter, One either side of building, Did the job
Elsan round the back, Good. Grey water disposal, Good
People were friendly, handy for Aberaeron and surrounding places.
We found the cycletrack of the back road which was great for the children.
Would we go again? Yes we would
Such a friendly laidback family site
Oh we did choose the wet and WINDY week in August, but we did everything we wanted

I'm not sure where to start with this review. My feelings about the site are rather mixed.
I'll start off with location. The site is just a pleasant 10 minutes flat walk along the sea wall from the centre of the very pretty small harbour town of Aberaeron.
The site is pair of flat fields separated by a wire mesh and barbed wire fence. You are right next to a rocky foreshore, but can't see it due to the earth bank sea defences.
There are hook points all along perimeters of the camping fields. The grass pitches are a reasonable size, but there is nothing separating each pitch.
Facilities.
They don't sell anything on site, nothing. No milk, no tent pegs, no gas - nothing.
The clean small single toilet block could be best described as adequate. It's rather dated and only had three showers per side and a total of two washing up sinks. There are no laundry facilities. The elsan point is rather basic and no designated place to empty grey water (we put it down the loo).
Now the sting - it's £24 a night with EHU (cash only).
IMHO it is significantly overpriced and the facilities are (by modern standards) very basic, but the location is great. If the owners were to invest some money in the site by putting in more, bigger, better loo blocks, a motorhome point, a basic shop and a bit of landscaping and had online booking and accepted cards they would have a killer site that would probably be booked up for much of the year.

Was recommended this site & it didn't disappoint. Easy to find, access down a pretty steep hill, signs on the hill stating no stopping, so vehicles exeting had no problem.
Owners very helpful, all pitches are spread over 2 very large fields some with EHU. All points had been used, so we went off grid. There's a petrol station very near selling gas we noticed, just in case.
Our pitch was near the gate leading to a long coastal path, ideal for treks, dog walking or a visit to Aberaeron town. The town has everything, large supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, shops. Best fish & chips I've tasted! The Harbour is so picturesque. There was a bus stop with a regular bus service to Aberystwyth/ Newquay literally at the top of the campsite drive.
There is a toilet/shower block looked outdated but kept immaculately clean, we used our own facilities as it was quite a walk from our pitch.
Children have plenty of room to safely play & run around on the central part of the field, there was no play park.
Definately worth a re visit, location is brilliant for visiting coastal towns or just walking & exploring coastal paths. Also inexpensive pitch prices.

I don't often put a review in but I feel this site is unfairly shown as a nine star site. To put this site in the same category or higher than the Riverside sites at Betws y Coed and Crickhowell defies explanation ! I should say that this review is from a motorhomer of a reasonably sized unit (7. 8M).
The facilities here are way below what I would consider to be a top rated site. There are no real hardstandings ( the ground was really soft at my visit ) and no grey waste disposal ( and I do mean none so where does it all go ?).
The chemical disposal point is a Heath Robinson affair without any flush method. The toilet block is a breeze block building with a corrugated asbestos type roof with no heating at all ( and it was cold ) and only has 3 showers in the gents which are so tight for space that I witnessed a rather large chap having to get out to get dressed in the main toilet area, which was not a pretty sight.
I think the number of pitches against the toilet provision must lead to queues at busy times. The site needs some serious investment in my opinion.
The best bit about the site is it's location.

We planned to stop in Aberareon as we had visited before a couple of years ago and wanted to return, this was our first visit to this site and we weren’t disappointed.
On arrival there was no one available in reception but we dialled the number on the door and were given a pitch number, the site is a very large flat field with pitches around the edge, to the left there seemed to be more long stay pitches and towards the end of the field where we parked was non-electric.
We made the mistake of describing our unit as a motorhome, which it is in size, but as we don’t have an on board toilet/washroom maybe we should have said campervan as we probably would have ended up a bit closer to the facilities block; it was a bit of a walk from our pitch!
The facilities were clean and very well looked after as described on the website, with great hot showers. I only spotted 2 drinking water points which was a bit of a pain as we had to walk half the length of the field just to fill up the dogs bowl however I have never seen such immaculate water points, the site is obviously very well cared for. It was easy to level the van and we were very quickly sat in the sunshine eating lunch.
We were pitched at the end of the field which had access straight onto the coast path with easy walking into Aberareon (close enough to take our chips back to the van!) or in the opposite direction along the beach.
We ended up missing the owner when they came round to collect payment however they were happy to wait until the following day when we dropped it off at the farm house.
This is a lovely site and we will definitely go back.
