This was a surprisingly good site. It seemed very commercial and you can’t book in advance plus it is right under Ben Nevis, so I thought wrongly that it would be full with little intimacy. How wrong I was, the site was very pleasing and friendly. The pitches were large and there was plenty of room and it was surprisingly cheap for such a site.
The toilets/showers were very clean and well maintained and there was always plenty of hot water.
You are not far from Fort William and there are great walks all around the site. There is a nice restaurant, cafe and art gallery within walking distance of the campsite and the meals were very good. There is a shop on site that is very well stocked with all the necessities.
All in all we had great time at this very good site.

Just back from Glen Nevis Caravan & Camping Park where we spent a rather soggy weekend. We tried our best not to let it dampen our spirits. So, we were delighted to receive a full refund on one nights staty despite the fact we had chosen to leave a day early.
We had a spacious pitch (electric) in the Deerpark section of the site which backed on to the kids playpark. My 4 yr old would have loved the park had it not rained the whole time we were there.
The on site facilities washing up and laundry were great. The toilet block was the best we've ever experienced. Well maintained, clean, bright, warm and tidy with excellent showers - and with the radio being played.
The site is packed with walkers, climbers and families so made for a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Only comment was that shop was very pricey. But worry not there is Tesco Metro, Boots, Morrisons, Mountain Warehouse and a Macdonalds all in Fort William.
We visited the Lochaber swimming pool and had a lovely time there too.
Cant wait to go back when the weather is a little better!

Just got back from Glen Nevis, myself, hubby and 2 friends. Loved the site, views are spectacular, very clean site, well laid out and the pitches are a decent size.
A very friendly site as well. Showers are a bit old but clean and hot, toilets are immaculate. Great shop on the site, a wee bit dear, but it,s handy, tesco isn't too far away. Enjoyed a lovely walk into fort william, about 2 miles.
Couldn't believe the change in fort william high street, lots of good shops, bars, and eating places. The only slight downfall was, the electricity went off for about 1 hour on the Sunday evening, just put the candles on.
Quite surprised at the price, £65 and that was for 4 adults, hook up, and it was the Easter weekend, so very good price, thought it would have been dearer. Lovely place for families.

Stayed here on Easter weekend, not as busy as I've seen it. Great site with views of the hills.
Toilets cleaned every day. Showers adjustable. Separate shower block and loos. 2 miles from Fort William. Pubs and shops. Grog and Gruel pub doggie friendly.
Only £31.50 for a fully serviced pitch for 2 nights at easter, great value. Gorgeous day the Friday rained the next day.
Gates close at 11pm.Shop on site selling everything and morning papers. Burger van at high season open 8 - 10am and 5 - 10 pm except Monday and Tuesday.
Very friendly and chatty staff. A hello and how are you every time you go into the shop. Will come again and again to this site.

Just returned from a fabulous week at Glen Nevis campsite. We left Glasgow very early due to a terrible weather forecast and arrived at the site at 9.15 in the morning. On arrival at reception there was no question of waiting to get a pitch. Margaret, as always, was extremely helpful and booked us in.
We went to our 'usual' pitch which was thankfully free. You can book pitches for a £10 non returnable fee but we prefer one of the areas that are not bookable. Touch wood, we have always managed to get one of our preferred pitches with stunning views up Glen Nevis and the Ben Nevis Path.
One toilet block was being upgraded but the other was spotlessly clean at all times, even though everyone was being directed to that one.
The pitches are incredibly spacious, plenty of room to put up your awning (at no extra cost) and park your car too.
Site was never too busy this week but we have been there during summer months when it was full and even then the park was clean and tidy and noise at night well controlled.
There are loads of things to do in the area, a walk up Ben Nevis, if you are fit and prepared. Please don't think the tourist path is an easy route, we climbed a nearby mountain and carried ice axes and crampons as the snow was extremely deep at points. A much easier option to visit the hills is to take a trip to Nevis Range ski centre and use the gondola to take you part of the way up Aonach Mor - NOT Ben Nevis as many people seem to think! There is a cafe and some lovely walks from the top gondola station. Fort William itself has a swimming pool, large supermarket, many take aways and several restaurants so a great base for a holiday.

We chose this site because of the positive comments left by other users and we agree wholeheartedly that this is one very good site.
It's location at the foot of Ben Nevis is spectacular. It's accessibility to Fort William and the A82 to travel further afield, is excellent.
We didn't book ahead (not paying £10 to anyone in addition to fees) and arrived just before 5pm. Booking on for a week with a tent, two adults and electric was just over £15 per night. Good value. The fact we arrived in the last few days of September meant advance booking was not a necessity. Reception was efficient and we were allocated to the Cameron field, which is the first field on the left as you enter the site and opposite the shop and reception.
Never did quite work out why we were allocated the Cameron field as it seemed to be the field for those staying one or two nights and then it was motorhomes or, strangely, people parking up in cars and sleeping in them overnight. All the other tents were in Deer field. It was not, however, a disadvantage for us at the time of year.
Cameron has the oldest facilities on the site which means just two showers for Men. I assume the same for Ladies but didn't go and have a look. The rest of the block has toilets/sinks, of which there are half a dozen and they are separate from the shower area. To the front is a scullery with three sinks. Two for washing pots and the other for clothes.
Should Cameron field be packed, then you can use the larger and more modern facilities over in Deer but, to be honest, we had the field practically to ourselves so all the facilities including the two showers, one each, was ideal!
We had originally planned to stay for a week but in the end stayed for another. Not just because the site was good, which it is or that we had everything to ourselves, which we did but because it's such a great base from which to explore Lochaber and further afield off the A82.
Great site. Great location.

We have just returned from this site, it is a very clean site, but better if you can avoid the weekend period we found the toilets were not kept so clean during that time. Also we had paid the extra 10.00 pre booking fee for an extra large pitch, but at the weekend we had 3 tents pitch next to us all on one pitch but one tent was only 1 metre away from ours. The rule of quietness 11pm - 8am this was not observed at weekends. They say a warden goes around, but we saw no one. When we noted this, they said we should have reported it, but that is what the night wardens should be doing. We may return but it is a long way as we live 500 miles away.

Fantastic site, perfect for access to Ben Nevis, the much underrated Glen itself with waterfalls, bike trails, hillfort and more, plus the West Highland Way. Though there are plenty of people stopping here there always seems to be space, with four separate areas for motorhomes/caravans and others for tents. Excellent sized level pitches with electric hook-up - certainly can accommodate motorhomes 30 foot or longer. We were charged £19 per night including extra car and electric which seemed quite reasonable for 2 adults and 3 kids, but no discount for stays of a week or more. A good-sized drive through motorhome service unit is available. My only complaint would be that fresh water is not readily available enough; those wanting to be able to refill from their site will have to choose very carefully. The on site shop is excellent for essentials, campin equipment, maps, etc and is licensed and sells tobacco too. The staff at the site were very helpful and knowledgeable about walks, bus routes and weather. WiFi is not available on site but is free in the bar/restaurant only 500m distant. The burger van is not open mid week but is there for early mornings and 5.00pm to 9.00pm over the weekend, which is superb for those doing the Ben or a long hike. The laundry is very good - big and clean, though a bit pricey at £3.00 per wash and £1 for 20 minutes in the tumble dryer. There is a children's playground, dog walking area and the views are exceptional. Fort William itself is about 3 miles away and has a large Morrisons, Tesco Metro, Boots, WHSmith and more outdoor gear shops than you can count! There are also some great cafes, for example Fired Art, with free internet. My only suggestions would be a games/TV room for those inevitable rainy days, a book swap and getting WiFi run down the road to the site itself. Excellent!

Excellent site, the best campsite I would say I have been to. Facilities are excellent and the views spectacular.
Brilliant - hope to visit the site again and again. The toilet blocks were warm and even had 'piped Radio 2' which was a novel change. The showers were always clean whatever time of the day you called in.
We had a bit of a problem with 'lost keys in boot of car!' but the staff were really helpful and were more than willing to help.
The bins were emptied every morning so no rubbish was left laying around.
The pub on site was great although we never eat there. There was also an 'on site' burger/breakfast van!. A great idea for back packers with no cooking facilities.
Brilliant location.

We have just returned from our sixth visit to this site this year and as always it just gets better. We use it as a home base when visiting the Western Isles and more recently John O' Groats. We have found that we tend to compare all other sites to this one, but the location and staff friendliness are extremely hard to beat.
The toilets/showers and laundry room are always clean. The meals at the restaurant adjoining the site are first class (the steak pie with extra gravy - Yummy).
There is a bus service into Fort William or on foot it is just a good stretch of the legs.We are hoping to visit again later this year - No midgies
