Excellent family site. Facilities are great and the service you get is second to none. The site is large and split into sections. Set at the base of Ben Nevis but very flat for your tents and caravans. Clean and well run site, perfect for walking, cycling, mountain climbing and just switching off. Play area for children and no-one complains about children running around and playing. Security guards patrolling all night which made us feel safe. A mobile catering unit is open morning and evening serving breakfast and evening meals, simple dishes fish/chips or haggis/chips and jacket potatoes. Simple but tasty and convenient when you have arrived and just pitched tent. A lovely and welcoming site and one I would recommend for families.

We pre-booked our stay here and went in to the reserved area it seemed that all the units in this area were squashed on top of each other whilst most of the rest of the campsite was empty. There is a play park for the children although the site is so big you had to keep a close eye on the little ones. The good thing here was that motor homes could just pull up to the motor home point and it didn't matter which way you were facing you could empty the waste with ease and fill up with drinking water with ease. The site is clean and quiet even though it was busy and the strict rules are enforced i.e. quiet after 10pm - 8am. Wardens drive around periodically and check. The bins are emptied twice each day and although the toilets and showers were basic and in separate blocks they were always clean. There are a few walks directly off site but you have to go along a busy road and I couldn't find anywhere were the dogs could have a good run off their leads. A restaurant is nearby as is a static campsite and a youth hostel all owned by the same company. The town isn't too far by car and of course the views are to die for.

Typical international site and quite busy, yet still all the facilities were kept clean, and were quite good considering the volume of users. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to base camp whilst touring scotland on a daily basis. Fort william has lots to other and is in easy reach of people with no walking difficulties. Absolutely beautiful views from within the sight of the glen. Mostly obscured by low lying cloud/mist while we were there tho'! Loved it

Stayed in this site for the second year running and it was excellent. We even managed to get the same pitch. The setting is amazing so it has a head start on most other places but, in addition to this, the facilities on the site are ideal. The toilet/shower blocks are kept very clean and there are plenty of them. There is a caravan selling teas/coffees and hot rolls which were not too expensive - very handy when you don't want to cook. We also used the laundry room and it was very reasonably priced. Whilst we were there we found that there was little or no noise after around 10.30 which was a very big plus. Only negative is the midgies and there's not much anyone can do about them!

Great site , great views of the Ben , showers and toilets - no complaints - always clean - always hot water. Shop well stocked , nice restaurant up the road . Have been 5 times and will be back as sure as eggs is eggs. With regards to the Crabbit warden , get zombied long before 10 pm and you'll be a-ok

Hi, I would like tell every one this is the best site in scotland if not the whole of the UK , its fantastic very clean and you can take your dogs no problems, I am also registard dissabled and I had my own key to my own toilet / shower room which was very clean and well looked after I can recomend this site to anyone 10/10 for me and the family. Plus stunning views and plenty of things to do and they have a stunning resturaunt which is fantastic.
No chance of lots of drunk parties keeping you up all night, it's well policed by the people that work there. I can say 100% I will be back 3 or 4 times this season. Colin W.

Great site, magnificent views, friendly people. only stayed one night but enjoyed every minute. There's a good walk if you continue down the road that leads to a waterfall down the mountain, we wish we'd took our bikes it was a 4.5mile walk from the car park where we left the car. the modern pub on site does excellent food and has a great atmosphere. Will stay there again but for longer next time.

Arrived on a beautiful sunny day in September and the views are awesome. I had read other views but Ben Nevis is practically right outside your tent. It is a lovely glen with many walks around. Also a great location for seeing the W Coast of Scotland. The shop is very well equiped especially the chilled wine after a day out.
Would really recommend this site - lots of interesting people coming and going, walkers, hikers, climbers, canoeists...
The shower blocks fine and relatively clean - could have done with more than 1 clean a day and I have seen cleaner showers - as muddy walking boots going in and out soon adds up as it is such a big campsite. Overall one of the best locations I have stayed in.

May 2005 I first visited this site in 1973 with my parents!! It's a cracking site regardless of whether you are on foot or in a car. The facilties are first class. Fort William is a 2 mile walk away and mountains galore. The shop is very good, but it's cheaper in the town. The bar / restaurant is spot on but beware...smoking is banned!!!! Tents and tin snails ( caravans ) are segregated but beware of the midges from late May onwards. There is no known cure apart from chemical warfare suits!

August 2005 One of the best sites we've stayed at. Very reasonable prices. Separate caravan / motorhome (hard-standings) and tent areas. Nicely divided up with trees, shrubs, hedges etc so one did not feel one was on such a large site. Very good scullery, showers (free), laundry etc. The tumble drier was especially useful as it rained continuously while we were there. Fortunately the gale that was blowing kept the midgies away!!
Small play area for kids. Walks up Ben Nevis or along the Glen direct from site. There is a Morrisons in Fort William if the site shop does not fulfil your needs. The only downside was, for campers, there is no sheltered area for cooking, which was a problem for several people during the inclement weather we experienced.
