Visited this site on many occasions over the last 15 years. Site is always clean and tidy, showers and toilets clean as usual, good launderette. Site located about 3 miles from Fort William, shops restaurants etc. Site has its own shop selling most items required, bonus is the pub/restaurant is 200metres from the site.
Site location is second to none at the foot of Ben Nevis. The downside is the facilities, showers, washbasins and toilets are now looking a bit worn out.

This is the fifth time I've been to this large site and the first time its ever been full. There was the world mountain bike championships on over the weekend and the place was packed. No spaces available saturday for either tents, caravans or motorhomes. The site was still quiet at night. There is a 24 hour warden in season. It cost us 16.50 per night for a fully serviced pitch. I love this site, it's surrounded by the mountains and separated into parks, 3 parks for motorhomes and caravans and 3 parks for tents. For caravans and motorhomes 2 of the parks have EHU and one park has fully serviced pitches round the edge of the park. Some pitches are hardstanding. Pitches are large, no sitting on top of your neighbour here. There are a certain amount of pitches in another park which you can book but they hold back 150 pitches for people on a first come first served basis. Very clean, tidy site with trees and hedges separating parks. Friendly efficient staff. Shop on site selling papers, rolls, bread, tinned & frozen foods, milk, juice and some camping gear and souvenirs. There are 4 toilet blocks dotted around the site, always clean, showers separate from toilets, no charge to use showers and hairdryers. Barrier to site closes at 11pm you have to park in the outside car park after that. Usual facilities, chemical toilet disposal, motor home service point, scullery, laundry room, children's play area. There is a restaurant next to the park, a bit pricey at £20.25 for a 8oz sirloin steak. Looked at menu but didn,t go in. Morrisons supermarket is 2 miles along the road in Fort William. Plenty pubs and restaurants in Fort William most serving food. Dogs are welcome on site and there are 2 dog walks. It rained a bit on Saturday but no problem with drainage. We will return soon.

This site is beautifully located at the bottom of Ben Nevis, ideal for the intrepid to hike up from. Pitches aren’t marked – just pitch where you find a space, which gives a lot of freedom, and leave 4 metres between yourself and the next tent. Facilities are comprehensive, clean and excellent, prices are reasonable for all that’s included in the price (showers, scullery, hairdryers etc) and the shop offers pretty much everything you could possibly have forgotten, short of an actual tent and any emergency supplies or gifts you might want. Staff are friendly and mostly keep the noise of other campers down at night. There are plenty of toilets, sinks and showers, and if they are ever too busy there are other facilities elsewhere on the site. It is an excellent base for visiting other nearby attractions and doing plenty of walking, depending on your interests. Fort William is only two miles away and has a big Morrisons.
Not many downsides; in early June there were increasing numbers of midges so this could be bad in the height of summer (the shop sells netting and hats though). There aren’t any family cubicles that I could see in the washrooms, and cars have to be parked on the hard-standing areas which in some places can be some distance from where you pitch your tent. This does protect the grass and reduce mud at a site which clearly gets plenty of rain, but it does make unpacking a bit more of a trial. The ‘4 metre’ rule did not seem to be policed very firmly either, as many tents were clearly nearer to each other than that.
Despite these very minor concerns however, this is an excellent site and I would not hesitate to recommend it, or visit again (though less likely in midge season).

Stayed at Glen Nevis with my wife and in laws in my caravan in 2009 not 2010 but I'm late entering my report and it would not go back to the date I was there.
This is a lovely part of the UK and what views.
Climbed Ben Nevis with the wife and I'm just getting over it now. Ha
It’s quite a big site and has a nice little shop on site.
No louts here. Lots of Main land Europeans here which make a great mix.
Restaurant just up the road which was bloody fantastic. Not cheap but I don’t mind when I'm getting that sort of service.
I will go again one day and I highly recommend it.
Stayed June 2010, travelled with family

My partner, son and I visited this site at the weekend having read lots of good reviews about it. The staff at the reception were lovely, the lady that works in the adjoining shop was especially nice, chatting to our three year old and really including him in the conversation which was appreciated.
We were shown the best field for us to choose which would be handy for the toilet block and the play park for our sons sake.
The ground was flat but a wee bit stony but we managed to get the pegs in without too much fuss. There was plenty space between the tents, however we knew as the day went on it would fill a bit, did it ever!
The toilet block was huge and well laid out, unfortunately it was a bit of a mess, maybe it was due to be cleaned.
There was electric hook ups for tents in areas of the field, these were separate from the other tents and looked very spacious.
The play park was really basic, couple of swings, one for babies, a see saw and two climbing frames but our son loved it.
By the time it got late our area looked like T in the Park with the amount of tents, so close in fact that even the ear plugs I had in didn't take away the noise from snorers in the tents next to us!
The campsite was faultless in the fact that our experience wasn't particularly good, the site facilities and the staff were fantastic, I just don't feel this is a site for a family holiday, not in the tent section, its for hill climbers and backpackers. Too much noise through the night.
Its a good site with such great potential but the undesirable things that were lying around on the grass where we were trying to pitch our tent, used wet wipes and discarded teabags etc. from the previous occupiers of that area mean we wont be back to the site. Its a shame because the staff and even the guys on the snack bar were brilliant, a really good laugh. Maybe a wee bit more regulation, separating the family tents from the others would make this site second to none.

What a great site. First time in Scotland and after a disastrous start at another site further south we started our stay here early. Great customer service, very helpful and friendly. Booked initially for 5 nights and stayed for 7. Location is out of this world and the wonderful Ben Nevis is on your doorstep. Everything they say positive about this site is correct. Lovely clean showers, lots of hot water, well maintained and spotless site. The restaurant just 5 mins down the road may not be the cheapest but we spent our anniversary there and were treated like kings. Great staff again couldn't do enough for us. Everything was as it said in the writeup and we couldn't fault the surroundings, amenities or staff. Want to be back there now. Go and enjoy.

Visited this site for the third year and it's still fantastic. Clean showers / toilet block, lovely, spacious and level pitches, great shop and the most amazing views of Ben Nevis. Plus a superb pub/restaurant within walking distance. What more could you ask for?

Can only add to what everyone else has said, superb site, friendly and helpful staff, excellent and clean facilities. Plenty of room on pitches and hard standing. Reasonably priced for quality site, set in fantastic area and scenery great position for walking up Ben Nevis (make sure to allow for a recovery day afterwards) and Fort William, dog loved it! Only one very nit picking criticism the chippings on the pitch hard standing get brought into van on feet.
Would recommend to anyone and would be more than happy to visit again. Marvellous

When we visited it was busy but we had plenty of space and the views were 2nd to none, toilet blocks were clean and showers were great with plenty hot water. Best place to be based to climb Ben Nevis and Fort William is an easy car journey for supermarkets, shops and eating out although there's a burger van onsite but it's at best decent and pricey. The bar and restaurant by the site is also quite expensive but the food is of a high quality, service is good and a great place to meet people. We stayed at the site for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay and hopefully will return in the future and would recommend the site to others.

When we stayed very quiet - only a few vans and pretty much our pick of the site. Toilets / showers immaculate.
Lady in booking office / shop[ was fabulous - couldn't help enough with information on the area and making sure we were ok.
Restaurant just outside the campsite. Food was wonderful - service even better. Prices not cheap but food was probably the best we ate in the area.
I am sure in the summer it would be too busy for us - but early / late season give it a go - the view of the mountain makes it worth the visit.
