May 2003 Stayed there after walking the Great Glen in the 'opposite' direction. Good campsite, agree that Fort William is best for grub / alcohol. No problem with any warden, perhaps because there were five of us and we had been imbibing - or perhaps because we were knackered and slept, although I don't think so.

July 2003 Fortunately, we were cute and quiet enough to not have been bothered by the warden of this campsite. However, we forgot to put the piece of paper (which proves that we payed) on the outside of our tent and the wardens woke us up in the morning to ask for it! We just finished walking the West Highland Way and wanted to let our feet rest, which is the only reason why we stayed at the site. It wasn't really our thing, too much structure and rules and motorhomes and caravans, not really a campsite for backpackers.

June 2003 This is a good placed site for hill walking and has many pitches. The site is very clean and well kept, facilities are excellent!
However i too came across the crabbit warden! My partner and i were simply having a conversation and we were told if we were not quiet we would be put off site.
Beware you have been warned!

Summer 2002 Excellent site by way of scenery and location. On site shop is well stocked and plenty of fresh produce.
The bar along the road however closes very early and they have a sense of humour regarding their price list, much better to get a taxi in to Fort William if you're having a night out.
Oh. Don't have a conversation in your tent after 10 pm. ..... You'll incur the wrath of the on site patrol warden!

August 2002 This is a very busy site in the summer situated at the foot of Ben Nevis. There are four fields for caravans and four fields for tents. Electric is available for both tents and caravans. The facilities are excellent and the shop has fresh produce and camping accessories. There is a bar and restaurant just up the road which serves excellent food and snacks are available on site as well. The sceney is superb and the site is patrolled by wardens throughout the night so noise is not a problem even when the site is busy. It is the perfect place to relax and look for that golden eagle or climb Ben Nevis.
