We turned up in the middle of August without a booking and were lucky enough to be accommodated by the extremely pleasant and helpful wardens.
Great facilities-I just loved being able to pop our towels into a dryer to fluff them up after use.
The surrounding walks are easy and beautiful with stunning views of the lake. The town is very attractive and the theatre on the lake is modern with an excellent programme of plays etc for all tastes.
We will definitely be going back but we'll reserve as a site this good will always be in demand.

Been to site several times now and can never fault it. In fact was so pleased on my first trip I joined the CCC club!
Set in a lovely lakeside location but only a 10min walk into Keswick with its large selection of shops, pubs, resteraunts etc. Staff always very friendly even offering to help set up my tent on my first visit. So good I was suprised to see that it only had one review so I've added this! Also on site you can fish and launch small boats and canoes once again a fabulous site

Have not been here for a couple of years now due to a 14 year old 'body boarding' fanatic, but would recommend it to everyone. Clean toilets, lovely views, great wardens, can't fault it. Will be going back there as soon as we can. Only problem is you have to book well in advance as its so popular.
