Myself my boyfriend and our dog spent 2 nights at this campsite and really cannot wait to go back!
Yes its really back to basic, no hot water, ingenious hose and tap sink unit at the corner of the field; toilets; we used the ones that the public use in the car park to the beach, these were closer than the field ones so cannot comment on those but didn't hear anyone complain,
An idyllic spot, close to the spectacular beach and the lilly ponds, I have to say I was in awe when I first walked towards the beach, the views are fantastic, so beautiful.
The weather was gorgeous so we did a lot of walking and even went into the sea (bit chilly but crystal clear); the owners of the farm were very helpful, they have their rules re keeping the noise down and not bbq'ing after 11; but this is what is needed to keep it such a beautiful unspoilt place;
Plenty of room to pitch a tent, fields are shared with caravans and camper homes, although there is a field right at the bottom just for tents;
We stayed at the top end of the field; St Govans you have to see; the church built into the rocks; incredible.
We ate in the local pub, we took car, it may only be a mile or so away but it is quite a walk up and down a narrow lane; the food was excellent, we had the Black Beef Curry mmmm
I would definitely recommend this campsite if you want to get away from it all; its a total chill out spot.

Wow! What a location, beautiful site and made very welcome by the friendly owners. Plenty to see with breathtaking views and lovely walks.
Nice pub nearby ( about a mile ) but no shop so be sure to take provisions with you ( shops in Pembroke about 5 miles ). A really good back to basics site that we can thoroughly recommend if you want to get away from it all.
Our party consisted of two adults and one dog ( there is no charge for dogs ) and there seemed to be quite a few dogs on site though this is by no means a problem because there was so much room on the camp.

This site must have the best location in wales. We love it because it is right above Broadhaven beach which is dog friendly and can offer some good surf and it also has a freshwater pool for younger children to play in and dogs to drink from. There are excellent walks along to Barafundle bay, Bosherston lilly ponds and Stackpole Quay.
Its a great place to access Freshwater West for surfing and Tenby and Narberth for day trips. I took a dog and 3 teenagers by myself and it was perfect as there was no shop to tempt them, a fabulous beach and lots of space and walks for the dog.
The toilet blocks are clean and you can freeze your freezer blocks without having to bother the owners. The site takes caravans, tents, campers and dogs so when we go with friends all our different camping arrangements are allowed which we don't always find on other sites.
The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly, told us places to walk, checked we were ok when the weather was bad and made jokes with the boys, they loved them! Best campsite in this area, if basic as it has no hot water and showers but that means its quiet and blissfully peaceful. A real find!

This place is amazing!.
So much country side and beaches within walking distance. Great views from all around the site.
You must take a walk across the two beaches and country side to the tea room at the other end, takes a good hour to get there, well worth the walk, so much to see on the way.
Toilet blocks were clean, no hot water guys, not an issue though. Boil your own. No electrical hook ups, good old basic camping. Good stuff.
The owners are really friendly and helpful too.
It is a quiet peaceful place to stay, on a night the stars are amazing to look at.
Be mindful of the friendly fox, ensure your rubbish has been disposed of and all food is locked away at night.
Local pub is recommended for the lovely food, tea rooms too.
We will definitely be returning here again, loved every minute of it.

Not really much to say about the site, but everything I do have to say is good!
Went there for a climbing weekend, was my first experience of Pembrokeshire so armed with an OS map and the trusty sat-nav we had no problem finding the site. The site's location was brilliant, mere minutes away from a wonderful beach. My only complaint would be that we had a few nervous moments caused by other campers treating the single-width roads approaching the site like a rally course.
The facilities of the site were exactly as described, back-to-basics but well located and always clean, and the level of service from the owners was absolutely unfaultable. Also worth mentioning is the lovely St Govan's Inn, a few minutes walk back up the road in Bosherston. I can definitely see us visiting Pembrokeshire again, and the one thing I don't need to worry about is where to stay!

Great campsite.
We were on our motorbikes and was shown a really good pitch. The views are stunning.
There was only one other tent in the field. So nice and quiet, but there were a few in the caravan field.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Easy walk along to St Govans Chapel.
Toilets etc were basic and a bit of a walk from our pitch but was no bother. Nice and clean.
The beach was great and only a short walk away.
The pub was a good 15-20 minute walk back towards Bosherton but the food as very good. I can recommend the Welsh home made Fagotts! And they had London Pride on tap, my favourite ale.

Trefalen farm was a fantastic holiday for us all, we went before with friends and without friends.
There is a loo with a sink and a mirror above, they separate it from ladies and gentlemen, 2 in each block. There is only a sink for wash facilities so it isn't wise going for a week and getting muddy!
We took our caravan and my daughter slept in the tent. My children love going here and the beach is fantastic and if there's a high tide you can always have a cliff walk with spectacular views across the sea.
Local areas such as saundersfoot and tenby and the town of pembroke. If you like somewhere to eat we would totally recommend mermaid on the stand in saundersfoot. But if you don't want to travel you can always go to st govens head then a walk across st govens chapel only a mile down the road on the M.O.D range.
The farmer is really kind but you hardly see him except when you pay or he checks on the site.I would recommend this campsite to anyone.

The location of this site couldn't be better if you enjoy sea views, coastal walks and basic camping. We pitched in the lower field and were the only tents in there- perhaps why a fox was brave enough to enter my friends' tent and bite his way through their cool bag! They had more bad luck when taking down a pup tent which blew over the small drystone wall and into the cove! These things didn't ruin the holiday because the site was so beautiful and the walks on your door step are amazing.
The toilets are open to the public and a bit of a walk from the bottom field- not recommended to those who value personal hygiene when camping! I would also recommend having all supplies with you, as it is a bit of a remote spot. We didn't see the owner apart from to pay. Perfect for back to basics campers!

I think word on this campsite is out as it was pretty crowded with quite a few large groups and a lot of surfers. Having said that the owner does a good job of making sure noise ceases at 22.45 but it can be busy during the day.
A winning position on the cliffs with excellent walks as well as the beach and good local coast hopper buses for linear walks too.
Two loos and just cold water, generally well cared for but can get messy just because of amount of use when there are a lot of people there.
Having said that I wholeheartedly recommend it but beware it is on a clifftop so can get some fierce storms and was windy most of the time.

Trefalen Farm camping (spelt Trevallen on OS maps) is a fantastic location. Great coastal views from the camp site. Very close to Broadhaven beach, Bosherston Lily ponds, and the coastal path along to Barafundle Bay and Stackpole Quay.
Facilities consist of a small toilet block, and a couple of washing up sinks and drinking water taps. The toilets were always clean, but obviously there are no showers.
We stayed in the lower field which we shared with a handful of other campers and a herd of sheep. The sheep were nice enough, but it meant the camping field was absolutely covered in sheep poo, I found this pretty frustrating as you're constantly watching your step and can't really sit out on a rug or the ground. Also a few of the guests dogs didn't seem to get on with the sheep.
You can pitch up where you wish. It was easy to find a level-ish pitch. Most of the site is of a gentil slope.
It seems possible to reach this campsite by public transport in the summer months. A 'coastal cruiser' bus run by Silcox coaches leaves from Pembroke dock a few times a day and goes to Bosherston and Broadhaven.
